Remove double use strict and add 3 argument open

This commit address some minor issues:
- removed double "use strict"
- added shebang
- added three argument open
- if(! $var) is now unless($var) which is more readable
- removed single quotes in the die(), they'd have prevented the variable
to be expanded correctly
