What is being reported
Here is a list of all events, metrics and data being uploaded:
- When the application starts
- When user turns off telemetry
- When navigating between sections of the application.
- Various errors that are not caught in the application (Only the name and the sanitized stack-trace are uploaded)
- When executing an action (Like cloning a task). The action name and the number of entities affected are tracked
Properties attached:
- Computer OS
- Computer Arch
- Location
- Randomly generated session id
- Randomly generated machine id
How to disable crash reporting and telemetry
While Batch Explorer is running, on the title bar menu, go to edit
> Telemetry settings
> Disable (restart required)
Important Notice: This option requires a restart of Batch Explorer to take effect. (Changing the setting will restart the application automatically)
