our original [private] repository has been private from the very beginning and have only had a select number of developers who have written our code. Apparently my developer when he forked or cloned our repo to , his copy of our repo was made public on github. I found today that within the last couple of weeks that same repo of ours was stolen/copied by a github user fahimahamed999
