AMEE Open Business

AMEE (Avoiding Mass Extinctions Engine) provides free APIs to provide easy access to sustainability at scale, making it the easiest way for developers to discover, consume, and integrate environmental data on the web. The Open Business API allows you to access business data on over 20 million companies. Data includes sustainability metrics such as financial risk, carbon emissions, and carbon efficiency ratings. It also includes business information such as address and contact details. Embed data into your application to link company profiles and automate monitoring changes to credit and environmental ratings.

Prerequisites

Obtaining Credentials

  • You will need to generate an API key to access the AMEE Open Business API on the AMEE API Documentation Page.
  • Access to the API is via preemptive HTTP Basic Authorization, with your API key as the username and your API secret as the password.

Supported Operations

Get Companies

Search for companies based on parameters like financial risk, carbon emissions, carbon efficiency ratings, address, and contact details.

Get a company

Find Company by AMEE company id or CRO number

Get Country ND Gain Score

List ND-Gain (Notre Dame Global Adaptation Initiative) indices
