# Description
Summary of changes:
SDNDiagnostics checks for storage space when collecting logs. In HLK we
always use a CSV.
Module incorrectly checks c: for space. This fails on some HLK
customers, who have insufficient storage space on c drive.

error is thrown.
- Fixed an issue where multiple certificates with same subject are
returned resulting in generation of new nc node certificate was failing
due to mismatched types
- Fixed an issue where we were not passing `CN=` to `Get-SdnCertificate`
resulting in cert rotation failing for environments that were using
FindBySubjectName

<h2>3.26.12 - 07 Oct 2024</h2>
<ul>
<li>
<p><em>Upcoming breaking change</em>: Add a deprecation warning for
customers using CodeQL version 2.14.5 and earlier. These versions of
CodeQL were discontinued on 24 September 2024 alongside GitHub
Enterprise Server 3.10, and will be unsupported by CodeQL Action
versions 3.27.0 and later and versions 2.27.0 and later. <a
href="https://redirect.github.com/github/codeql-action/pull/2520">#2520</a></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>If you are using one of these versions, please update to CodeQL CLI
version 2.14.6 or later. For instance, if you have specified a custom
version of the CLI using the 'tools' input to the 'init' Action, you can
remove this input to use the default version.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Alternatively, if you want to continue using a version of the CodeQL
CLI between 2.13.5 and 2.14.5, you can replace
<code>github/codeql-action/*@v3</code> by
<code>github/codeql-action/*@v3.26.11</code> and
<code>github/codeql-action/*@v2</code> by
<code>github/codeql-action/*@v2.26.11</code> in your code scanning
workflow to ensure you continue using this version of the CodeQL
Action.</p>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
<h2>3.26.11 - 03 Oct 2024</h2>
<ul>
<li>
<p><em>Upcoming breaking change</em>: Add support for using
<code>actions/download-artifact@v4</code> to programmatically consume
CodeQL Action debug artifacts.</p>
<p>Starting November 30, 2024, GitHub.com customers will <a
href="https://github.blog/changelog/2024-04-16-deprecation-notice-v3-of-the-artifact-actions/">no
longer be able to use <code>actions/download-artifact@v3</code></a>.
Therefore, to avoid breakage, customers who programmatically download
the CodeQL Action debug artifacts should set the
<code>CODEQL_ACTION_ARTIFACT_V4_UPGRADE</code> environment variable to
<code>true</code> and bump <code>actions/download-artifact@v3</code> to
<code>actions/download-artifact@v4</code> in their workflows. The CodeQL
Action will enable this behavior by default in early November and
workflows that have not yet bumped to
<code>actions/download-artifact@v3</code> to
<code>actions/download-artifact@v4</code> will begin failing then.</p>
<p>This change is currently unavailable for GitHub Enterprise Server
customers, as <code>actions/upload-artifact@v4</code> and
<code>actions/download-artifact@v4</code> are not yet compatible with
GHES.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Update default CodeQL bundle version to 2.19.1. <a

</li>
</ul>
<h2>3.26.10 - 30 Sep 2024</h2>
<ul>
<li>We are rolling out a feature in September/October 2024 that sets up
CodeQL using a bundle compressed with <a
href="http://facebook.github.io/zstd/">Zstandard</a>. Our aim is to

customers using CodeQL version 2.14.5 and earlier. These versions of
CodeQL were discontinued on 24 September 2024 alongside GitHub
Enterprise Server 3.10, and will be unsupported by CodeQL Action
versions 3.27.0 and later and versions 2.27.0 and later. <a

version of the CLI using the 'tools' input to the 'init' Action, you can
remove this input to use the default version.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Alternatively, if you want to continue using a version of the CodeQL
CLI between 2.13.5 and 2.14.5, you can replace
<code>github/codeql-action/*@v3</code> by
<code>github/codeql-action/*@v3.26.11</code> and

<p><em>Upcoming breaking change</em>: Add support for using
<code>actions/download-artifact@v4</code> to programmatically consume
CodeQL Action debug artifacts.</p>
<p>Starting November 30, 2024, GitHub.com customers will <a
href="https://github.blog/changelog/2024-04-16-deprecation-notice-v3-of-the-artifact-actions/">no
longer be able to use <code>actions/download-artifact@v3</code></a>.
Therefore, to avoid breakage, customers who programmatically download
the CodeQL Action debug artifacts should set the
<code>CODEQL_ACTION_ARTIFACT_V4_UPGRADE</code> environment variable to
<code>true</code> and bump <code>actions/download-artifact@v3</code> to
<code>actions/download-artifact@v4</code> in their workflows. The CodeQL
Action will enable this behavior by default in early November and
workflows that have not yet bumped to
<code>actions/download-artifact@v3</code> to
<code>actions/download-artifact@v4</code> will begin failing then.</p>
<p>This change is currently unavailable for GitHub Enterprise Server
customers, as <code>actions/upload-artifact@v4</code> and
<code>actions/download-artifact@v4</code> are not yet compatible with
GHES.</p>

# Description
This pull request includes several changes to improve the error handling
and structure of the PowerShell scripts within the `SdnDiag` module. The
most important changes involve adding error handling for directory
creation, restructuring the process flow for exporting objects to files,
and adjusting the module seeding logic.
### Error Handling Improvements:
*
[`src/modules/SdnDiag.Utilities/private/Export-ObjectToFile.ps1`](diffhunk://#diff-0e551b186879f33ef93255e03c2c40a9a7ca7cea8b9ab5a6a5296b5523f886acL35-R65):
Added a `try-catch` block to handle exceptions when creating
directories, ensuring that any issues are properly caught and reported.
### Process Flow Adjustments:
*
[`src/modules/SdnDiag.Utilities/private/Export-ObjectToFile.ps1`](diffhunk://#diff-0e551b186879f33ef93255e03c2c40a9a7ca7cea8b9ab5a6a5296b5523f886acL35-R65):
Reorganized the script to check for null objects in the `process` block
rather than the `begin` block, improving the logical flow of the script.
*
[`src/modules/SdnDiag.Utilities/public/Install-SdnDiagnostics.ps1`](diffhunk://#diff-34bdcb1b67d8c832eb7f198e206f31b08d82bd5c5e66847e9a96914fe38e1550L69-R75):
Moved the check for `DisableModuleSeeding` from the `begin` block to the
`process` block, ensuring that the seeding logic is evaluated for each
computer in the `ComputerName` list.
### Code Enhancements:
*
[`src/modules/SdnDiag.Health/private/Test-ResourceConfigurationState.ps1`](diffhunk://#diff-62a5aba7f08f0a50c099f8d938e4bfcafa353a3b173e467c36f7a7ccc30cf097R79):
Added a check to handle cases where `detailedInfo` is present, ensuring
that the detailed information is processed correctly.
*
[`src/modules/SdnDiag.Health/private/Test-ResourceConfigurationState.ps1`](diffhunk://#diff-62a5aba7f08f0a50c099f8d938e4bfcafa353a3b173e467c36f7a7ccc30cf097L102-R111):
Modified the message formatting logic to handle cases where
`errorMessages` is empty, ensuring a cleaner output.

<h1>CodeQL Action Changelog</h1>
<p>See the <a
href="https://github.com/github/codeql-action/releases">releases
page</a> for the relevant changes to the CodeQL CLI and language
packs.</p>
<p>Note that the only difference between <code>v2</code> and
<code>v3</code> of the CodeQL Action is the node version they support,
with <code>v3</code> running on node 20 while we continue to release
<code>v2</code> to support running on node 16. For example
<code>3.22.11</code> was the first <code>v3</code> release and is
functionally identical to <code>2.22.11</code>. This approach ensures an
easy way to track exactly which features are included in different
versions, indicated by the minor and patch version numbers.</p>

<h1>CodeQL Action Changelog</h1>
<p>See the <a
href="https://github.com/github/codeql-action/releases">releases
page</a> for the relevant changes to the CodeQL CLI and language
<h2>[UNRELEASED]</h2>
<p>No user facing changes.</p>
<h2>3.26.11 - 03 Oct 2024</h2>
<ul>
<li>
<p><em>Upcoming breaking change</em>: Add support for using
<code>actions/download-artifact@v4</code> to programmatically consume
CodeQL Action debug artifacts.</p>
<p>Starting November 30, 2024, GitHub.com customers will <a
href="https://github.blog/changelog/2024-04-16-deprecation-notice-v3-of-the-artifact-actions/">no
longer be able to use <code>actions/download-artifact@v3</code></a>.
Therefore, to avoid breakage, customers who programmatically download
the CodeQL Action debug artifacts should set the
<code>CODEQL_ACTION_ARTIFACT_V4_UPGRADE</code> environment variable to
<code>true</code> and bump <code>actions/download-artifact@v3</code> to
<code>actions/download-artifact@v4</code> in their workflows. The CodeQL
Action will enable this behavior by default in early November and
workflows that have not yet bumped to
<code>actions/download-artifact@v3</code> to
<code>actions/download-artifact@v4</code> will begin failing then.</p>
<p>This change is currently unavailable for GitHub Enterprise Server
customers, as <code>actions/upload-artifact@v4</code> and
<code>actions/download-artifact@v4</code> are not yet compatible with
GHES.</p>

# Description
Summary of changes:
This pull request includes changes to improve error handling and
resource management in the `SdnDiagnostics` module. The most important
changes include setting the error action preference to "Continue" and
ensuring that the stopwatch is stopped when a timeout occurs.
Improvements to error handling and resource management:
*
[`src/SdnDiagnostics.psm1`](diffhunk://#diff-490865628c61b2e97c50f45b37d7086647c70b2444cbfb9c60cc8c682801356eR590):
Set `$ErrorActionPreference` to 'Continue' in the
`Start-SdnDataCollection` function to ensure the script continues
execution even if an error occurs.
*
[`src/modules/SdnDiag.Utilities/private/Wait-PSJob.ps1`](diffhunk://#diff-297871d6b2cb15f65f732365c852a117f82cb7963c0a127c1e912ca7c2eaaeadR49-R50):
Added a call to `$stopWatch.Stop()` in the `Wait-PSJob` function to
ensure the stopwatch is stopped when the execution timeout limit is
reached.

<p>We will no longer include hidden files and folders by default in the

risk that credentials are accidentally uploaded into artifacts.
Customers who need to continue to upload these files can use a new
option, <code>include-hidden-files</code>, to continue to do so.</p>

# Description
This pull request includes several changes to the `SdnDiag.Health`
module, focusing on importing additional modules, improving URL name
resolution, and enhancing service state validation.
### Module Imports:
*
[`src/modules/SdnDiag.Health/SdnDiag.Health.psm1`](diffhunk://#diff-57c55f0db8ff59b4c3946d347cc71a7ff64cd3d3b7f5587e3e3615dcb43f0780R8-R9):
Added imports for `SdnDiag.NetworkController.FC` and
`SdnDiag.NetworkController.SF` modules to extend functionality.
### URL Name Resolution:
* `src/modules/SdnDiag.Health/private/Test-NcUrlNameResolution.ps1`:
* Updated to use `Get-SdnNetworkController` instead of
`Get-SdnNetworkControllerSF` for consistency.
* Improved logic to handle IP address parsing and comparison for network
controller certificates.

### Service State Validation:
*
[`src/modules/SdnDiag.Health/private/Test-ServiceState.ps1`](diffhunk://#diff-6853618dcd72434d2b4e84e4b0d8e45e189f4b4990f5694fd2ac2d00cccb2c7dR24-R27):
Added a check to return early if no services are defined, avoiding
unnecessary processing.

<blockquote>
<h1>CodeQL Action Changelog</h1>
<p>See the <a
href="https://github.com/github/codeql-action/releases">releases
page</a> for the relevant changes to the CodeQL CLI and language
<h2>[UNRELEASED]</h2>
<p>No user facing changes.</p>
<h2>3.26.0 - 06 Aug 2024</h2>
<ul>
<li><em>Deprecation:</em> Swift analysis on Ubuntu runner images is no
longer supported. Please migrate to a macOS runner if this affects you.
<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/github/codeql-action/pull/2403">#2403</a></li>
<li>Bump the minimum CodeQL bundle version to 2.13.5. <a
href="https://redirect.github.com/github/codeql-action/pull/2408">#2408</a></li>
</ul>
<h2>3.25.15 - 26 Jul 2024</h2>
<ul>
<li>Update default CodeQL bundle version to 2.18.1. <a

</ul>
<h2>3.25.14 - 25 Jul 2024</h2>
<ul>
<li>Experimental: add a new <code>start-proxy</code> action which starts
the same HTTP proxy as used by <a

Do not use this in production as it is part of an internal experiment
and subject to change at any time. <a

</ul>
<h2>3.25.13 - 19 Jul 2024</h2>

href="https://redirect.github.com/github/codeql-action/pull/2368">#2368</a></li>
<li>Add a deprecation warning for customers using CodeQL version 2.13.4
and earlier. These versions of CodeQL were discontinued on 9 July 2024
alongside GitHub Enterprise Server 3.9, and will be unsupported by
CodeQL Action versions 3.26.0 and later and versions 2.26.0 and later.
<a
href="https://redirect.github.com/github/codeql-action/pull/2375">#2375</a>
<ul>
<li>If you are using one of these versions, please update to CodeQL CLI
version 2.13.5 or later. For instance, if you have specified a custom
version of the CLI using the 'tools' input to the 'init' Action, you can
remove this input to use the default version.</li>
<li>Alternatively, if you want to continue using a version of the CodeQL
CLI between 2.12.6 and 2.13.4, you can replace
<code>github/codeql-action/*@v3</code> by
<code>github/codeql-action/*@v3.25.13</code> and

in <a
href="https://redirect.github.com/step-security/harden-runner/pull/435">step-security/harden-runner#435</a>
This release includes:</p>
<ul>
<li>Enterprise Tier - Telemetry Upload Enhancement:
For the enterprise tier, this change helps overcome size constraints,
allowing for more reliable telemetry uploads from the Harden-Runner
agent to the StepSecurity backend API. No configuration change is needed
to enable this.</li>
<li>Harden-Runner Agent Authentication:
The Harden-Runner agent now uses a per-job key to authenticate to the
StepSecurity backend API to submit telemetry. This change prevents the
submission of telemetry data anonymously for a given job, improving the
integrity of the data collection process. No configuration change is
needed to enable this.</li>
<li>README Update:
A Table of Contents has been added to the README file to improve
navigation. This makes it easier for users to find the information they
need quickly.</li>
<li>Dependency Update:
Updated the <code>braces</code> npm package dependency to a
non-vulnerable version. The vulnerability in <code>braces</code> did not
affect the Harden Runner Action</li>

# Description
Summary of changes:
- Instead of copying the updated `Get-NetView.psd1` and
`Get-NetView.psm1` into PowerShell directory, we instead will just
import the version that ships with the module and ignore anything under
default directories.
