Report I2C_FUNC_I2C in .functionality() as well. The I2C interface can
handle this fine and even is required for all I2C client drivers that
utilise the regmap API which are used from within the ngene driver.

Check for i2c_algorithm structures that are only stored in
the algo field of an i2c_adapter structure. This field is
declared const, so i2c_algorithm structures that have this
property can be declared as const also.
This issue was identified using Coccinelle and the following

The semaphore 'i2c_switch_mutex' is used as a simple mutex, so
it should be written as one. Semaphores are going away in the future.
