Santosh Shilimkar 56dc8bce9f rds: add transport specific tos_map hook
RDMA transport maps user tos to underline virtual lanes(VL)
for IB or DSCP values. RDMA CM transport abstract thats for
RDS. TCP transport makes use of default priority 0 and maps
all user tos values to it.

Santosh Shilimkar 3eb450367d rds: add type of service(tos) infrastructure
RDS Service type (TOS) is user-defined and needs to be configured
via RDS IOCTL interface. It must be set before initiating any
traffic and once set the TOS can not be changed. All out-going
traffic from the socket will be associated with its TOS.

Zhu Yanjun 53ae914d89 net/rds: Use rdma_read_gids to get connection SGID/DGID in IPv6
In IPv4, the newly introduced rdma_read_gids is used to read the SGID/DGID
for the connection which returns GID correctly for RoCE transport as well.

In IPv6, rdma_read_gids is also used. The following are why rdma_read_gids
is introduced.

rdma_addr_get_dgid() for RoCE for client side connections returns MAC
address, instead of DGID.
rdma_addr_get_sgid() for RoCE doesn't return correct SGID for IPv6 and
when more than one IP address is assigned to the netdevice.

So the transport agnostic rdma_read_gids() API is provided by rdma_cm
module.

Ka-Cheong Poon b7ff8b1036 rds: Extend RDS API for IPv6 support
There are many data structures (RDS socket options) used by RDS apps
which use a 32 bit integer to store IP address. To support IPv6,
struct in6_addr needs to be used. To ensure backward compatibility, a
new data structure is introduced for each of those data structures
which use a 32 bit integer to represent an IP address. And new socket
options are introduced to use those new structures. This means that
existing apps should work without a problem with the new RDS module.
For apps which want to use IPv6, those new data structures and socket
options can be used. IPv4 mapped address is used to represent IPv4
address in the new data structures.

Ka-Cheong Poon 1e2b44e78e rds: Enable RDS IPv6 support
This patch enables RDS to use IPv6 addresses. For RDS/TCP, the
listener is now an IPv6 endpoint which accepts both IPv4 and IPv6
connection requests. RDS/RDMA/IB uses a private data (struct
rds_ib_connect_private) exchange between endpoints at RDS connection
establishment time to support RDMA. This private data exchange uses a
32 bit integer to represent an IP address. This needs to be changed in
order to support IPv6. A new private data struct
rds6_ib_connect_private is introduced to handle this. To ensure
backward compatibility, an IPv6 capable RDS stack uses another RDMA
listener port (RDS_CM_PORT) to accept IPv6 connection. And it
continues to use the original RDS_PORT for IPv4 RDS connections. When
it needs to communicate with an IPv6 peer, it uses the RDS_CM_PORT to
send the connection set up request.

v5: Fixed syntax problem (David Miller).

v4: Changed port history comments in rds.h (Sowmini Varadhan).

Ka-Cheong Poon eee2fa6ab3 rds: Changing IP address internal representation to struct in6_addr
This patch changes the internal representation of an IP address to use
struct in6_addr. IPv4 address is stored as an IPv4 mapped address.

Steve Wise 33023fb85a IB/core: add max_send_sge and max_recv_sge attributes
This patch replaces the ib_device_attr.max_sge with max_send_sge and
max_recv_sge. It allows ulps to take advantage of devices that have very
different send and recv sge depths. For example cxgb4 has a max_recv_sge
of 4, yet a max_send_sge of 16. Splitting out these attributes allows
much more efficient use of the SQ for cxgb4 with ulps that use the RDMA_RW
API. Consider a large RDMA WRITE that has 16 scattergather entries.
With max_sge of 4, the ulp would send 4 WRITE WRs, but with max_sge of
16, it can be done with 1 WRITE WR.

Kees Cook 6396bb2215 treewide: kzalloc() -> kcalloc()
The kzalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, kcalloc(). This
patch replaces cases of:

        kzalloc(a * b, gfp)

with:
        kcalloc(a * b, gfp)

as well as handling cases of:

        kzalloc(a * b * c, gfp)

with:

        kzalloc(array3_size(a, b, c), gfp)

as it's slightly less ugly than:

        kzalloc_array(array_size(a, b), c, gfp)

This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like:

        kzalloc(4 * 1024, gfp)

though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion.

Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were
dropped, since they're redundant.

The Coccinelle script used for this was:

// Fix redundant parens around sizeof().

Sowmini Varadhan ebeeb1ad9b rds: tcp: use rds_destroy_pending() to synchronize netns/module teardown and rds connection/workq management
An rds_connection can get added during netns deletion between lines 528
and 529 of

506 static void rds_tcp_kill_sock(struct net *net)
  :
/* code to pull out all the rds_connections that should be destroyed */
  :
  528         spin_unlock_irq(&rds_tcp_conn_lock);
  529 list_for_each_entry_safe(tc, _tc, &tmp_list, t_tcp_node)
  530                 rds_conn_destroy(tc->t_cpath->cp_conn);

Such an rds_connection would miss out the rds_conn_destroy()
loop (that cancels all pending work) and (if it was scheduled
after netns deletion) could trigger the use-after-free.

A similar race-window exists for the module unload path
in rds_tcp_exit -> rds_tcp_destroy_conns

Concurrency with netns deletion (rds_tcp_kill_sock()) must be handled
by checking check_net() before enqueuing new work or adding new
connections.

Concurrency with module-unload is handled by maintaining a module
specific flag that is set at the start of the module exit function,
and must be checked before enqueuing new work or adding new connections.

This commit refactors existing RDS_DESTROY_PENDING checks added by
commit 3db6e0d172 ("rds: use RCU to synchronize work-enqueue with
connection teardown") and consolidates all the concurrency checks
listed above into the function rds_destroy_pending().

Parav Pandit a2e812ea26 net/rds: Use rdma_read_gids to read connection GIDs
Use the newly introduced rdma_read_gids() to read the SGID and DGID for
the connection which returns GID correctly for RoCE transport as well.

rdma_addr_get_dgid() for RoCE for client side connections returns MAC
address, instead of DGID.
rdma_addr_get_sgid() for RoCE doesn't return correct SGID for IPv6 and
when more than one IP address is assigned to the netdevice.

Therefore use transport agnostic rdma_read_gids() API provided by rdma_cm
module.

Sowmini Varadhan 0cb43965d4 RDS: split out connection specific state from rds_connection to rds_conn_path
In preparation for multipath RDS, split the rds_connection
structure into a base structure, and a per-path struct rds_conn_path.
The base structure tracks information and locks common to all
paths. The workqs for send/recv/shutdown etc are tracked per
rds_conn_path. Thus the workq callbacks now work with rds_conn_path.

This commit allows for one rds_conn_path per rds_connection, and will
be extended into multiple conn_paths in subsequent commits.

Guy Shapiro fa20105e09 IB/cma: Add support for network namespaces
Add support for network namespaces in the ib_cma module. This is
accomplished by:

1. Adding network namespace parameter for rdma_create_id. This parameter is
used to populate the network namespace field in rdma_id_private.
rdma_create_id keeps a reference on the network namespace.
2. Using the network namespace from the rdma_id instead of init_net inside
of ib_cma, when listening on an ID and when looking for an ID for an
   incoming request.
3. Decrementing the reference count for the appropriate network namespace
   when calling rdma_destroy_id.

In order to preserve the current behavior init_net is passed when calling
from other modules.

Santosh Shilimkar 0676651323 RDS: IB: split mr pool to improve 8K messages performance
8K message sizes are pretty important usecase for RDS current
workloads so we make provison to have 8K mrs available from the pool.
Based on number of SG's in the RDS message, we pick a pool to use.

Also to make sure that we don't under utlise mrs when say 8k messages
are dominating which could lead to 8k pull being exhausted, we fall-back
to 1m pool till 8k pool recovers for use.

This helps to at least push ~55 kB/s bidirectional data which

Pull inifiniband/rdma updates from Doug Ledford:
"This is a fairly sizeable set of changes. I've put them through a
decent amount of testing prior to sending the pull request due to
  that.

There are still a few fixups that I know are coming, but I wanted to
go ahead and get the big, sizable chunk into your hands sooner rather
than waiting for those last few fixups.

Of note is the fact that this creates what is intended to be a
temporary area in the drivers/staging tree specifically for some
cleanups and additions that are coming for the RDMA stack. We
deprecated two drivers (ipath and amso1100) and are waiting to hear
back if we can deprecate another one (ehca). We also put Intel's new
hfi1 driver into this area because it needs to be refactored and a
transfer library created out of the factored out code, and then it and
the qib driver and the soft-roce driver should all be modified to use
  that library.

I expect drivers/staging/rdma to be around for three or four kernel
releases and then to go away as all of the work is completed and final
deletions of deprecated drivers are done.

  Summary of changes for 4.3:

   - Create drivers/staging/rdma
   - Move amso1100 driver to staging/rdma and schedule for deletion
   - Move ipath driver to staging/rdma and schedule for deletion

Haggai Eran 7c1eb45a22 IB/core: lock client data with lists_rwsem
An ib_client callback that is called with the lists_rwsem locked only for
read is protected from changes to the IB client lists, but not from
ib_unregister_device() freeing its client data. This is because
ib_unregister_device() will remove the device from the device list with
lists_rwsem locked for write, but perform the rest of the cleanup,
including the call to remove() without that lock.

Mark client data that is undergoing de-registration with a new going_down
flag in the client data context. Lock the client data list with lists_rwsem
for write in addition to using the spinlock, so that functions calling the
callback would be able to lock only lists_rwsem for read and let callbacks
sleep.

Since ib_unregister_client() now marks the client data context, no need for
remove() to search the context again, so pass the client data directly to
remove() callbacks.

Paul Gortmaker 3a9a231d97 net: Fix files explicitly needing to include module.h
With calls to modular infrastructure, these files really
needs the full module.h header. Call it out so some of the
cleanups of implicit and unrequired includes elsewhere can be
cleaned up.

Sean Hefty b26f9b9949 RDMA/cma: Pass QP type into rdma_create_id()
The RDMA CM currently infers the QP type from the port space selected
by the user. In the future (eg with RDMA_PS_IB or XRC), there may not
be a 1-1 correspondence between port space and QP type. For netlink
export of RDMA CM state, we want to export the QP type to userspace,
so it is cleaner to explicitly associate a QP type to an ID.

Modify rdma_create_id() to allow the user to specify the QP type, and
use it to make our selections of datagram versus connected mode.

Tejun Heo c534a107e8 rds/ib: use system_wq instead of rds_ib_fmr_wq
With cmwq, there's no reason to use dedicated rds_ib_fmr_wq - it's not
in the memory reclaim path and the maximum number of concurrent work
items is bound by the number of devices. Drop it and use system_wq
instead. This rds_ib_fmr_init/exit() noops. Both removed.

Zach Brown ea819867b7 RDS/IB: protect the list of IB devices
The RDS IB device list wasn't protected by any locking. Traversal in
both the get_mr and FMR flushing paths could race with additon and
removal.

List manipulation is done with RCU primatives and is protected by the
write side of a rwsem. The list traversal in the get_mr fast path is
protected by a rcu read critical section. The FMR list traversal is
more problematic because it can block while traversing the list. We
protect this with the read side of the rwsem.

Zach Brown 515e079dab RDS/IB: create a work queue for FMR flushing
This patch moves the FMR flushing work in to its own mult-threaded work queue.
This is to maintain performance in preparation for returning the main krdsd
work queue back to a single threaded work queue to avoid deep-rooted
concurrency bugs.

This is also good because it further separates FMRs, which might be removed
some day, from the rest of the code base.

Zach Brown 8aeb1ba663 RDS/IB: destroy connections on rmmod
IB connections were not being destroyed during rmmod.

First, recently IB device removal callback was changed to disconnect
connections that used the removing device rather than destroying them. So
connections with devices during rmmod were not being destroyed.

Second, rds_ib_destroy_nodev_conns() was being called before connections are
disassociated with devices. It would almost never find connections in the
nodev list.

We first get rid of rds_ib_destroy_conns(), which is no longer called, and
refactor the existing caller into the main body of the function and get rid of
the list and lock wrappers.

Then we call rds_ib_destroy_nodev_conns() *after* ib_unregister_client() has
removed the IB device from all the conns and put the conns on the nodev list.

The result is that IB connections are destroyed by rmmod.

Zach Brown 24fa163a4b RDS/IB: wait for IB dev freeing work to finish during rmmod
The RDS IB client removal callback can queue work to drop the final reference
to an IB device. We have to make sure that this function has returned before
we complete rmmod or the work threads can try to execute freed code.

Zach Brown fc19de38be RDS/IB: disconnect when IB devices are removed
Currently IB device removal destroys connections which are associated with the
device. This prevents connections from being re-established when replacement
devices are added.

Instead we'll queue shutdown work on the connections as their devices are
removed. When we see that devices are added we triger connection attempts on
all connections that don't currently have a device.

The result is that RDS sockets can resume device-independent work (bcopy, not
RDMA) across IB device removal and restoration.
