Emil Renner Berthing a58745979c net: atm: pppoatm: use new API for wakeup tasklet
This converts the driver to use the new tasklet API introduced in
commit 12cc923f1c ("tasklet: Introduce new initialization API")

Emil Renner Berthing a5b88632fc net: atm: pppoatm: use tasklet_init to initialize wakeup tasklet
Previously a temporary tasklet structure was initialized on the stack
using DECLARE_TASKLET_OLD() and then copied over and modified. Nothing
else in the kernel seems to use this pattern, so let's just call
tasklet_init() like everyone else.

Sebastian Andrzej Siewior f2bcc2fa27 atm: nicstar: Replace in_interrupt() usage
push_scqe() uses in_interrupt() to figure out if it is allowed to sleep.

The usage of in_interrupt() in drivers is phased out and Linus clearly
requested that code which changes behaviour depending on context should
either be separated or the context be conveyed in an argument passed by the
caller, which usually knows the context.

Aside of that in_interrupt() is not correct as it does not catch preempt
disabled regions which neither can sleep.

ns_send() (the only caller of push_scqe()) has the following callers:

- vcc_sendmsg() used as proto_ops::sendmsg is expected to be invoked in
  preemtible context.
  -> vcc->dev->ops->send() (ns_send())

- atm_vcc::send via atmdev_ops::send either directly (pointer copied by
  atm_init_aal34() or atm_init_aal5()) or via atm_send_aal0().
  This is invoked by drivers (like br2684, clip, pppoatm, ...) which are
  called from net_device_ops::ndo_start_xmit with BH disabled.

Add atmdev_ops::send_bh which is used by callers from BH context
(atm_send_aal*()) and if this callback missing then ::send is used
instead.
Implement this callback in nicstar and use it to replace in_interrupt().

Colin Ian King 2f71e00619 net: atm: fix update of position index in lec_seq_next
The position index in leq_seq_next is not updated when the next
entry is fetched an no more entries are available. This causes
seq_file to report the following error:

Fix this by always updating the position index.

Waiman Long 453431a549 mm, treewide: rename kzfree() to kfree_sensitive()
As said by Linus:

  A symmetric naming is only helpful if it implies symmetries in use.
  Otherwise it's actively misleading.

  In "kzalloc()", the z is meaningful and an important part of what the
  caller wants.

  In "kzfree()", the z is actively detrimental, because maybe in the
  future we really _might_ want to use that "memfill(0xdeadbeef)" or
  something. The "zero" part of the interface isn't even _relevant_.

The main reason that kzfree() exists is to clear sensitive information
that should not be leaked to other future users of the same memory
objects.

Rename kzfree() to kfree_sensitive() to follow the example of the recently
added kvfree_sensitive() and make the intention of the API more explicit.
In addition, memzero_explicit() is used to clear the memory to make sure
that it won't get optimized away by the compiler.

The renaming is done by using the command sequence:

  git grep -w --name-only kzfree |\
  xargs sed -i 's/kzfree/kfree_sensitive/'

followed by some editing of the kfree_sensitive() kerneldoc and adding
a kzfree backward compatibility macro in slab.h.

Masahiro Yamada a7f7f6248d treewide: replace '---help---' in Kconfig files with 'help'
Since commit 84af7a6194 ("checkpatch: kconfig: prefer 'help' over
'---help---'"), the number of '---help---' has been gradually
decreasing, but there are still more than 2400 instances.

This commit finishes the conversion. While I touched the lines,
I also fixed the indentation.

There are a variety of indentation styles found.

  a) 4 spaces + '---help---'
  b) 7 spaces + '---help---'
  c) 8 spaces + '---help---'
  d) 1 space + 1 tab + '---help---'
  e) 1 tab + '---help---'    (correct indentation)
  f) 1 tab + 1 space + '---help---'
  g) 1 tab + 2 spaces + '---help---'

In order to convert all of them to 1 tab + 'help', I ran the
following commend:

  $ find . -name 'Kconfig*' | xargs sed -i 's/^[[:space:]]*---help---/\thelp/'

Cong Wang 93a2014afb atm: fix a UAF in lec_arp_clear_vccs()
Gengming reported a UAF in lec_arp_clear_vccs(),
where we add a vcc socket to an entry in a per-device
list but free the socket without removing it from the
list when vcc->dev is NULL.

We need to call lec_vcc_close() to search and remove
those entries contain the vcc being destroyed. This can
be done by calling vcc->push(vcc, NULL) unconditionally
in vcc_destroy_socket().

Another issue discovered by Gengming's reproducer is
the vcc->dev may point to the static device lecatm_dev,
for which we don't need to register/unregister device,
so we can just check for vcc->dev->ops->owner.

Dan Carpenter fdd1a8103a net: atm: clean up a range check
The code works fine but the problem is that check for negatives is a
no-op:

	if (arg < 0)
		i = 0;

The "i" value isn't used. We immediately overwrite it with:

	i = array_index_nospec(arg, MAX_LEC_ITF);

The array_index_nospec() macro returns zero if "arg" is out of bounds so
this works, but the dead code is confusing and it doesn't look very
intentional.

Arnd Bergmann c7cbdbf29f net: rework SIOCGSTAMP ioctl handling
The SIOCGSTAMP/SIOCGSTAMPNS ioctl commands are implemented by many
socket protocol handlers, and all of those end up calling the same
sock_get_timestamp()/sock_get_timestampns() helper functions, which
results in a lot of duplicate code.

With the introduction of 64-bit time_t on 32-bit architectures, this
gets worse, as we then need four different ioctl commands in each
socket protocol implementation.

To simplify that, let's add a new .gettstamp() operation in
struct proto_ops, and move ioctl implementation into the common
sock_ioctl()/compat_sock_ioctl_trans() functions that these all go
through.

We can reuse the sock_get_timestamp() implementation, but generalize
it so it can deal with both native and compat mode, as well as
timeval and timespec structures.

Clang won't realize that compat is 0 when CONFIG_COMPAT is not set until
the constant folding stage, which happens after this semantic analysis.
Use IS_ENABLED instead so that the zero is present at the semantic
analysis stage, which eliminates this warning.

Karsten Graul 89ab066d42 Revert "net: simplify sock_poll_wait"
This reverts commit dd979b4df8.

This broke tcp_poll for SMC fallback: An AF_SMC socket establishes an
internal TCP socket for the initial handshake with the remote peer.
Whenever the SMC connection can not be established this TCP socket is
used as a fallback. All socket operations on the SMC socket are then
forwarded to the TCP socket. In case of poll, the file->private_data
pointer references the SMC socket because the TCP socket has no file
assigned. This causes tcp_poll to wait on the wrong socket.
