Richard Guy Briggs b75d8f38bc audit: drop /proc/PID/loginuid documentation Format field
Drop the "Format:" field from the /proc/PID/loginuid documentation and
integrate the information into the Description field since it is not
recognized by the "./scripts/get_abi.pl validate" command which causes a
warning. Documentation/ABI/README describes the valid fields.

Linus Torvalds e229b429bb Char/Misc driver patches for 5.12-rc1
Here is the large set of char/misc/whatever driver subsystem updates for
5.12-rc1. Over time it seems like this tree is collecting more and more
tiny driver subsystems in one place, making it easier for those
maintainers, which is why this is getting larger.

 Included in here are:
 	- coresight driver updates
 	- habannalabs driver updates
 	- virtual acrn driver addition (proper acks from the x86
 	  maintainers)
 	- broadcom misc driver addition
 	- speakup driver updates
 	- soundwire driver updates
 	- fpga driver updates
 	- amba driver updates
 	- mei driver updates
 	- vfio driver updates
 	- greybus driver updates
 	- nvmeem driver updates
 	- phy driver updates
 	- mhi driver updates
 	- interconnect driver udpates
 	- fsl-mc bus driver updates
 	- random driver fix
 	- some small misc driver updates (rtsx, pvpanic, etc.)

All of these have been in linux-next for a while, with the only reported
issue being a merge conflict in include/linux/mod_devicetable.h that you
will hit in your tree due to the dfl_device_id addition from the fpga
subsystem in here. The resolution should be simple.

Dexuan Cui c068e3f484 Drivers: hv: vmbus: Add /sys/bus/vmbus/hibernation
When a Linux VM runs on Hyper-V, if the host toolstack doesn't support
hibernation for the VM (this happens on old Hyper-V hosts like Windows
Server 2016, or new Hyper-V hosts if the admin or user doesn't declare
the hibernation intent for the VM), the VM is discouraged from trying
hibernation (because the host doesn't guarantee that the VM's virtual
hardware configuration will remain exactly the same across hibernation),
i.e. the VM should not try to set up the swap partition/file for
hibernation, etc.

x86 Hyper-V uses the presence of the virtual ACPI S4 state as the
indication of the host toolstack support for a VM. Currently there is
no easy and reliable way for the userspace to detect the presence of
the state (see https://lkml.org/lkml/2020/12/11/1097). Add
/sys/bus/vmbus/hibernation for this purpose.

Bhaumik Bhatt 21cb9b18ed bus: mhi: core: Introduce sysfs entries for MHI
Introduce sysfs entries to enable userspace clients the ability to read
the serial number and the OEM PK Hash values obtained from BHI. OEMs
need to read these device-specific hardware information values through
userspace for factory testing purposes and cannot be exposed via degbufs
as it may remain disabled for performance reasons. Also, update the
documentation for ABI to include these entries.

Document the notes file in sysfs as the running vmlinux's .note section

Linus Torvalds c0c419c045 Staging/IIO driver patches for 5.9-rc1
Here is the large set of Staging and IIO driver patches for 5.9-rc1.

Lots of churn here, but overall the size increase in lines added is
small, while adding a load of new IIO drivers.

 Major things in here:
 	- lots and lots of IIO new drivers and frameworks added
 	- IIO driver fixes and updates
 	- lots of tiny coding style cleanups for staging drivers
 	- vc04_services major reworks and cleanups

We had 3 set of drivers move out of staging in this round as well:
 	- wilc1000 wireless driver moved out of staging
 	- speakup moved out of staging
 	- most USB driver moved out of staging

Full details are in the shortlog.

All of these have been in linux-next with no reported issues. The last
few changes here were to resolve reported linux-next issues, and they
seem to have resolved the problems.

Rajan Vaja a2cc220a9a firmware: xilinx: Add sysfs and API to set boot health status
Add sysfs interface to set boot health status from user space.
Add API used by this interface to communicate with firmware.

If PMUFW is compiled with CHECK_HEALTHY_BOOT, it will check the
healthy bit on FPD WDT expiration. If healthy bit is set by a user
application running in Linux, PMUFW will do APU only restart. If
healthy bit is not set during FPD WDT expiration, PMUFW will do
system restart.

Rajan Vaja b3ae24c448 firmware: xilinx: Add sysfs to set shutdown scope
The Linux shutdown functionality implemented via PSCI system_off does
not include an option to set a scope, i.e. which parts of the system to
shut down.

This patch creates sysfs that allows to set the shutdown scope for the
next shutdown request. When the next shutdown is performed, the platform
specific portion of PSCI-system_off can use the chosen shutdown scope.
