Geliang Tang c99f490a42 mptcp: drop unused sk in mptcp_get_options

The parameter 'sk' became useless since the code using it was dropped
from mptcp_get_options() in the commit 8d548ea1dd ("mptcp: do not set

Eric Dumazet cbe983d0e4 mptcp: mptcp_parse_option() fix for MPTCPOPT_MP_JOIN
[ Upstream commit 89e23277f9c16df6f9f9c1a1a07f8f132339c15c ]

mptcp_parse_option() currently sets OPTIONS_MPTCP_MPJ, for the three
possible cases handled for MPTCPOPT_MP_JOIN option.

OPTIONS_MPTCP_MPJ is the combination of three flags:
- OPTION_MPTCP_MPJ_SYN
- OPTION_MPTCP_MPJ_SYNACK
- OPTION_MPTCP_MPJ_ACK

This is a problem, because backup, join_id, token, nonce and/or hmac fields
could be left uninitialized in some cases.

Distinguish the three cases, as following patches will need this step.

Paolo Abeni bf6800a394 mptcp: fix checksum byte order
[ Upstream commit ba2c89e0ea ]

The MPTCP code typecasts the checksum value to u16 and
then converts it to big endian while storing the value into
the MPTCP option.

As a result, the wire encoding for little endian host is
wrong, and that causes interoperabilty interoperability
issues with other implementation or host with different endianness.

Address the issue writing in the packet the unmodified __sum16 value.

MPTCP checksum is disabled by default, interoperating with systems
with bad mptcp-level csum encoding should cause fallback to TCP.

Paolo Abeni 97e5d85030 mptcp: use delegate action to schedule 3rd ack retrans
[ Upstream commit bcd9773431 ]

Scheduling a delack in mptcp_established_options_mp() is
not a good idea: such function is called by tcp_send_ack() and
the pending delayed ack will be cleared shortly after by the
tcp_event_ack_sent() call in __tcp_transmit_skb().

Instead use the mptcp delegated action infrastructure to
schedule the delayed ack after the current bh processing completes.

Additionally moves the schedule_3rdack_retransmission() helper
into protocol.c to avoid making it visible in a different compilation
unit.

Florian Westphal c9f95c6783 mptcp: do not shrink snd_nxt when recovering
[ Upstream commit 0d199e4363 ]

When recovering after a link failure, snd_nxt should not be set to a
lower value. Else, update of snd_nxt is broken because:

msk->snd_nxt += ret; (where ret is number of bytes sent)

assumes that snd_nxt always moves forward.
After reduction, its possible that snd_nxt update gets out of sync:
dfrag we just sent might have had a data sequence number even past
recovery_snd_nxt.

This change factors the common msk state update to a helper
and updates snd_nxt based on the current dfrag data sequence number.

The conditional is required for the recovery phase where we may
re-transmit old dfrags that are before current snd_nxt.

After this change, snd_nxt only moves forward and covers all in-sequence
data that was transmitted.

recovery_snd_nxt is retained to detect when recovery has completed.

Paolo Abeni 1bff1e43a3 mptcp: optimize out option generation
Currently we have several protocol constraints on MPTCP options
generation (e.g. MPC and MPJ subopt are mutually exclusive)
and some additional ones required by our implementation
(e.g. almost all ADD_ADDR variant are mutually exclusive with
everything else).

We can leverage the above to optimize the out option generation:
we check DSS/MPC/MPJ presence in a mutually exclusive way,
avoiding many unneeded conditionals in the common cases.

Additionally extend the existing constraints on ADD_ADDR opt on
all subvariants, so that it becomes fully mutually exclusive with
the above and we can skip another conditional statement for the
common case.

Yonglong Li 1f5e9e2f5f mptcp: move drop_other_suboptions check under pm lock

mptcp_established_options_add_addr() into mptcp_pm_add_addr_signal(), do
it under the PM lock to avoid the race between this check and

For this, added a new parameter for mptcp_pm_add_addr_signal() to get
the drop_other_suboptions value. And drop the other suboptions after the
option length check if drop_other_suboptions is true.

Additionally, always drop the other suboption for TCP pure ack:
that makes both the code simpler and the MPTCP behaviour more

Matthieu Baerts 67b12f792d mptcp: full fully established support after ADD_ADDR
If directly after an MP_CAPABLE 3WHS, the client receives an ADD_ADDR
with HMAC from the server, it is enough to switch to a "fully
established" mode because it has received more MPTCP options.

It was then OK to enable the "fully_established" flag on the MPTCP
socket. Still, best to check if the ADD_ADDR looks valid by looking if
it contains an HMAC (no 'echo' bit). If an ADD_ADDR echo is received
while we are not in "fully established" mode, it is strange and then
we should not switch to this mode now.

But that is not enough. On one hand, the path-manager has be notified
the state has changed. On the other hand, the "fully_established" flag
on the subflow socket should be turned on as well not to re-send the
MP_CAPABLE 3rd ACK content with the next ACK.

Paolo Abeni 1e1d9d6f11 mptcp: handle pending data on closed subflow
The PM can close active subflow, e.g. due to ingress RM_ADDR

Geliang Tang 208e8f6692 mptcp: receive checksum for MP_CAPABLE with data
This patch added a new member named csum in struct mptcp_options_received.

When parsing the MP_CAPABLE with data, if the checksum is enabled,
adjust the expected_opsize. If the receiving option length matches the
length with the data checksum, get the checksum value and save it in
mp_opt->csum. And in mptcp_incoming_options, pass it to mpext->csum.

We always parse any csum/nocsum combination and delay the presence check
to later code, to allow reset if missing.

Additionally, in the TX path, use the newly introduce ext field to avoid
MPTCP csum recomputation on TCP retransmission and unneeded csum update
on when setting the data fin_flag.

Maxim Mikityanskiy 07718be265 mptcp: Fix out of bounds when parsing TCP options
The TCP option parser in mptcp (mptcp_get_options) could read one byte
out of bounds. When the length is 1, the execution flow gets into the
loop, reads one byte of the opcode, and if the opcode is neither
TCPOPT_EOL nor TCPOPT_NOP, it reads one more byte, which exceeds the
length of 1.

This fix is inspired by commit 9609dad263 ("ipv4: tcp_input: fix stack
out of bounds when parsing TCP options.").

Davide Caratti d58300c318 mptcp: validate 'id' when stopping the ADD_ADDR retransmit timer
when Linux receives an echo-ed ADD_ADDR, it checks the IP address against

Florian Westphal dc87efdb1a mptcp: add mptcp reset option support
The MPTCP reset option allows to carry a mptcp-specific error code that
provides more information on the nature of a connection reset.

Reset option data received gets stored in the subflow context so it can
be sent to userspace via the 'subflow closed' netlink event.

When a subflow is closed, the desired error code that should be sent to
the peer is also placed in the subflow context structure.

If a reset is sent before subflow establishment could complete, e.g. on
HMAC failure during an MP_JOIN operation, the mptcp skb extension is
used to store the reset information.

Geliang Tang 557963c383 mptcp: move to next addr when subflow creation fail
When an invalid address was announced, the subflow couldn't be created
for this address. Therefore mptcp_pm_nl_subflow_established couldn't be

This patch invokes the new function mptcp_pm_add_addr_echoed when the
address is echoed. In it, use mptcp_lookup_anno_list_by_saddr to check
whether this address is in the anno_list. If it is, PM schedules the
status MPTCP_PM_SUBFLOW_ESTABLISHED to invoke
mptcp_pm_create_subflow_or_signal_addr to deal with the next address in
