Linus Torvalds 12f03ee606 libnvdimm for 4.3:
1/ Introduce ZONE_DEVICE and devm_memremap_pages() as a generic
    mechanism for adding device-driver-discovered memory regions to the
    kernel's direct map. This facility is used by the pmem driver to
    enable pfn_to_page() operations on the page frames returned by DAX
    ('direct_access' in 'struct block_device_operations'). For now, the
    'memmap' allocation for these "device" pages comes from "System
    RAM". Support for allocating the memmap from device memory will
    arrive in a later kernel.

 2/ Introduce memremap() to replace usages of ioremap_cache() and
    ioremap_wt(). memremap() drops the __iomem annotation for these
    mappings to memory that do not have i/o side effects. The
    replacement of ioremap_cache() with memremap() is limited to the
    pmem driver to ease merging the api change in v4.3. Completion of
    the conversion is targeted for v4.4.

 3/ Similar to the usage of memcpy_to_pmem() + wmb_pmem() in the pmem
    driver, update the VFS DAX implementation and PMEM api to provide
    persistence guarantees for kernel operations on a DAX mapping.

 4/ Convert the ACPI NFIT 'BLK' driver to map the block apertures as
    cacheable to improve performance.

 5/ Miscellaneous updates and fixes to libnvdimm including support
    for issuing "address range scrub" commands, clarifying the optimal
    'sector size' of pmem devices, a clarification of the usage of the
    ACPI '_STA' (status) property for DIMM devices, and other minor
    fixes.

Pull libnvdimm updates from Dan Williams:
 "This update has successfully completed a 0day-kbuild run and has
  appeared in a linux-next release. The changes outside of the typical
  drivers/nvdimm/ and drivers/acpi/nfit.[ch] paths are related to the
  removal of IORESOURCE_CACHEABLE, the introduction of memremap(), and
  the introduction of ZONE_DEVICE + devm_memremap_pages().

  Summary:

   - Introduce ZONE_DEVICE and devm_memremap_pages() as a generic
     mechanism for adding device-driver-discovered memory regions to the
     kernel's direct map.

     This facility is used by the pmem driver to enable pfn_to_page()

     For now, the 'memmap' allocation for these "device" pages comes
     from "System RAM". Support for allocating the memmap from device
     memory will arrive in a later kernel.

   - Introduce memremap() to replace usages of ioremap_cache() and
     ioremap_wt(). memremap() drops the __iomem annotation for these
     mappings to memory that do not have i/o side effects. The
     replacement of ioremap_cache() with memremap() is limited to the
     pmem driver to ease merging the api change in v4.3.

     Completion of the conversion is targeted for v4.4.

   - Similar to the usage of memcpy_to_pmem() + wmb_pmem() in the pmem
     driver, update the VFS DAX implementation and PMEM api to provide
     persistence guarantees for kernel operations on a DAX mapping.

   - Convert the ACPI NFIT 'BLK' driver to map the block apertures as

Tilman Schmidt fd98e9419d isdn/gigaset: reset tty->receive_room when attaching ser_gigaset
Commit 79901317ce ("n_tty: Don't flush buffer when closing ldisc"),
first merged in kernel release 3.10, caused the following regression
in the Gigaset M101 driver:

Before that commit, when closing the N_TTY line discipline in
preparation to switching to N_GIGASET_M101, receive_room would be
reset to a non-zero value by the call to n_tty_flush_buffer() in
n_tty's close method. With the removal of that call, receive_room
might be left at zero, blocking data reception on the serial line.

The present patch fixes that regression by setting receive_room
to an appropriate value in the ldisc open method.

Nicolai Stange 7b48f45797 isdn: disable HiSax NetJet driver on microblaze arch
Fix an allmodconfig compilation failer on microblaze due to big endian

Modify the relevant Kconfig such that the NetJet code is not built on

Note that endianess on microblaze is not determined through Kconfig,
but by means of a compiler provided CPP macro, namely __MICROBLAZEEL__.
However, gcc defaults to big endianess on that platform.

Vaishali Thakkar 4e2987a188 isdn/hisax: Convert use of __constant_cpu_to_le16 to cpu_to_le16
In big endian cases, macro cpu_to_le16 unfolds to __swab16 which

David S. Miller 0fa74a4be4 Merge git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/davem/net
Conflicts:
	drivers/net/ethernet/emulex/benet/be_main.c
	net/core/sysctl_net_core.c
	net/ipv4/inet_diag.c

The be_main.c conflict resolution was really tricky. The conflict
hunks generated by GIT were very unhelpful, to say the least. It
split functions in half and moved them around, when the real actual
conflict only existed solely inside of one function, that being
be_map_pci_bars().

So instead, to resolve this, I checked out be_main.c from the top
of net-next, then I applied the be_main.c changes from 'net' since
the last time I merged. And this worked beautifully.

The inet_diag.c and sysctl_net_core.c conflicts were simple
overlapping changes, and were easily to resolve.

Conflicts:
	drivers/net/vxlan.c
	drivers/vhost/net.c
	include/linux/if_vlan.h
	net/core/dev.c

The net/core/dev.c conflict was the overlap of one commit marking an
existing function static whilst another was adding a new function.

In the include/linux/if_vlan.h case, the type used for a local
variable was changed in 'net', whereas the function got rewritten
to fix a stacked vlan bug in 'net-next'.

In drivers/vhost/net.c, Al Viro's iov_iter conversions in 'net-next'
overlapped with an endainness fix for VHOST 1.0 in 'net'.

In drivers/net/vxlan.c, vxlan_find_vni() added a 'flags' parameter
in 'net-next' whereas in 'net' there was a bug fix to pass in the
correct network namespace pointer in calls to this function.

Arnd Bergmann 3e7a8716e2 mISDN: avoid arch specific __builtin_return_address call
Not all architectures are able to call __builtin_return_address().
On ARM, the mISDN code produces this warning:

hardware/mISDN/w6692.c: In function 'w6692_dctrl':
hardware/mISDN/w6692.c:1181:75: warning: unsupported argument to '__builtin_return_address'

                                                                           ^
hardware/mISDN/mISDNipac.c: In function 'open_dchannel':
hardware/mISDN/mISDNipac.c:759:75: warning: unsupported argument to '__builtin_return_address'
  pr_debug("%s: %s dev(%d) open from %p\n", isac->name, __func__,

In a lot of cases, this is relatively easy to work around by
passing the value of __builtin_return_address(0) from the
callers into the functions that want it. One exception is
the indirect 'open' function call in struct isac_hw. While it
would be possible to fix this as well, this patch only addresses
the other callers properly and lets this one return the direct
parent function, which should be good enough.
