Gustavo A. R. Silva 33ad1e5db0 irqchip/qcom-irq-combiner: Replace zero-length array with flexible-array member
The current codebase makes use of the zero-length array language
extension to the C90 standard, but the preferred mechanism to declare
variable-length types such as these ones is a flexible array member[1][2],
introduced in C99:

struct foo {
        int stuff;
        struct boo array[];
};

By making use of the mechanism above, we will get a compiler warning
in case the flexible array does not occur last in the structure, which
will help us prevent some kind of undefined behavior bugs from being
inadvertently introduced[3] to the codebase from now on.

Also, notice that, dynamic memory allocations won't be affected by
this change:

"Flexible array members have incomplete type, and so the sizeof operator
may not be applied. As a quirk of the original implementation of
zero-length arrays, sizeof evaluates to zero."[1]

This issue was found with the help of Coccinelle.

Stephen Boyd 6c9050a734 irqchip: Remove dev_err() usage after platform_get_irq()
We don't need dev_err() messages when platform_get_irq() fails now that
platform_get_irq() prints an error message itself when something goes
wrong. Let's remove these prints with a simple semantic patch.

// <smpl>
@@
expression ret;
struct platform_device *E;
@@

ret =
(
platform_get_irq(E, ...)
|
platform_get_irq_byname(E, ...)
);

if ( \( ret < 0 \| ret <= 0 \) )
{
(
-if (ret != -EPROBE_DEFER)
-{ ...
-dev_err(...);
-... }
|
...
-dev_err(...);
)
...
}
// </smpl>

While we're here, remove braces on if statements that only have one
statement (manually).

Pull irq updates from Thomas Gleixner:
 "The irq departement provides the usual mixed bag:

  Core:

   - Further improvements to the irq timings code which aims to predict
     the next interrupt for power state selection to achieve better
     latency/power balance

   - Add interrupt statistics to the core NMI handlers

   - The usual small fixes and cleanups

  Drivers:

   - Support for Renesas RZ/A1, Annapurna Labs FIC, Meson-G12A SoC and
     Amazon Gravition AMR/GIC interrupt controllers.

   - Rework of the Renesas INTC controller driver

   - ACPI support for Socionext SoCs

Gustavo A. R. Silva b744c3bcff irqchip/qcom: Use struct_size() in devm_kzalloc()
One of the more common cases of allocation size calculations is finding
the size of a structure that has a zero-sized array at the end, along
with memory for some number of elements for that array. For example:

struct foo {
    int stuff;
    struct boo entry[];
};

size = sizeof(struct foo) + count * sizeof(struct boo);
instance = devm_kzalloc(dev, size, GFP_KERNEL);

Instead of leaving these open-coded and prone to type mistakes, we can
now use the new struct_size() helper:

instance = devm_kzalloc(dev, struct_size(instance, entry, count), GFP_KERNEL);

Notice that, in this case, variable alloc_sz is not necessary, hence it
is removed.

This code was detected with the help of Coccinelle.

Agustin Vega-Frias 1bc2463cee irqchip/qcom: Fix check for spurious interrupts
When the interrupts for a combiner span multiple registers it must be
checked if any interrupts have been asserted on each register before
checking for spurious interrupts.

Checking each register seperately leads to false positive warnings.

Agustin Vega-Frias f20cc9b00c irqchip/qcom: Add IRQ combiner driver
Driver for interrupt combiners in the Top-level Control and Status
Registers (TCSR) hardware block in Qualcomm Technologies chips.

An interrupt combiner in this block combines a set of interrupts by
OR'ing the individual interrupt signals into a summary interrupt
signal routed to a parent interrupt controller, and provides read-
only, 32-bit registers to query the status of individual interrupts.
The status bit for IRQ n is bit (n % 32) within register (n / 32)
of the given combiner. Thus, each combiner can be described as a set
of register offsets and the number of IRQs managed.
