The primary interface for the touchpad device in Thinkpad L570 is SMBus, so ALPS overlooked PS2 interface Firmware setting of TrackStick, and shipped with TrackStick otp bit is disabled. The address 0xD7 contains device number information, so we can identify the device by checking this value, but to access it we need to enable Command mode, and then re-enable the device. Devices shipped in Thinkpad L570 report either 0x0C or 0x1D as device numbers, if we see them we assume that the devices are DualPoints. The same issue exists on Dell Latitude 7370. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
