RGMII mode can be enable from dp83822 straps, and also writing bit 9 of register 0x17 - RMII and Status Register (RCSR). When phy_interface_is_rgmii rgmii mode must be enabled, same for contrary, this prevents malconfigurations of hw straps References: - https://www.ti.com/lit/gpn/dp83822i p66 Signed-off-by: Tommaso Merciai <tommaso.merciai@amarulasolutions.com> Co-developed-by: Michael Trimarchi <michael@amarulasolutions.com> Suggested-by: Alberto Bianchi <alberto.bianchi@amarulasolutions.com> Tested-by: Tommaso Merciai <tommaso.merciai@amarulasolutions.com> Reviewed-by: Andrew Lunn <andrew@lunn.ch> Signed-off-by: David S. Linux kernel ============ There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at: https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/ There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
