Chris Lattner 2085fd6cd2 privatize all of the string literal memory allocation/creation
stuff behind a private static function.

Chris Lattner 726e168dc0 change the StringLiteral AST node to track all of the SourceLocations of
the various PPTokens that are pasted together to make it. In the course
of working on this, I discovered ParseObjCStringLiteral which needs some
work.  I'll tackle it next.

Douglas Gregor 9653db7bd0 Remove DeclGroupOwningRef, since we intend for declarations to be owned
by DeclContexts (always) rather than by statements.

DeclContext currently goes out of its way to avoid destroying any
Decls that might be owned by a DeclGroupOwningRef. However, in an
error-recovery situation, a failure in a declaration statement can
cause all of the decls in a DeclGroupOwningRef to be destroyed after
they've already be added into the DeclContext. Hence, DeclContext is
left with already-destroyed declarations, and bad things happen. This
problem was causing failures that showed up as assertions on x86 Linux
in test/Parser/objc-forcollection-neg-2.m.

Ted Kremenek 8189cde56b Overhaul of Stmt allocation:
- Made allocation of Stmt objects using vanilla new/delete a *compiler
  error* by making this new/delete "protected" within class Stmt.
- Now the only way to allocate Stmt objects is by using the new
  operator that takes ASTContext& as an argument. This ensures that
  all Stmt nodes are allocated from the same (pool) allocator.
- Naturally, these two changes required that *all* creation sites for
  AST nodes use new (ASTContext&). This is a large patch, but the
  majority of the changes are just this mechanical adjustment.
- The above changes also mean that AST nodes can no longer be
  deallocated using 'delete'. Instead, one most do
  StmtObject->Destroy(ASTContext&) or do
  ASTContextObject.Deallocate(StmtObject) (the latter not running the
  'Destroy' method).

Along the way I also...
- Made CompoundStmt allocate its array of Stmt* using the allocator in
  ASTContext (previously it used std::vector). There are a whole
  bunch of other Stmt classes that need to be similarly changed to
  ensure that all memory allocated for ASTs comes from the allocator
  in ASTContext.
- Added a new smart pointer ExprOwningPtr to Sema.h. This replaces
  the uses of llvm::OwningPtr within Sema, as llvm::OwningPtr used
  'delete' to free memory instead of a Stmt's 'Destroy' method.

Big thanks to Doug Gregor for helping with the acrobatics of making
'new/delete' private and the new smart pointer ExprOwningPtr!

Ted Kremenek 6e94ef5696 Move StringLiteral to allocate its internal string data using the allocator in
ASTContext. This required changing all clients to pass in the ASTContext& to the
constructor of StringLiteral. I also changed all allocations of StringLiteral to
use new(ASTContext&).

Along the way, I updated a bunch of new()'s in StmtSerialization.cpp to use the
allocator from ASTContext& (not complete).

Douglas Gregor 17330019f0 Fix our semantic analysis of
unqualified-id '('

in C++. The unqualified-id might not refer to any declaration in our
current scope, but declarations by that name might be found via
argument-dependent lookup. We now do so properly.

As part of this change, CXXDependentNameExpr, which was previously
designed to express the unqualified-id in the above constructor within
templates, has become UnresolvedFunctionNameExpr, which does
effectively the same thing but will work for both templates and
non-templates.

Additionally, we cope with all unqualified-ids, since ADL also applies
in cases like

  operator+(x, y)

Douglas Gregor 4afa39deaa Remove ScopedDecl, collapsing all of its functionality into Decl, so
that every declaration lives inside a DeclContext.

Moved several things that don't have names but were ScopedDecls (and,
therefore, NamedDecls) to inherit from Decl rather than NamedDecl,
including ObjCImplementationDecl and LinkageSpecDecl. Now, we don't
store empty DeclarationNames for these things, nor do we try to insert
them into DeclContext's lookup structure.

The serialization tests are temporarily disabled. We'll re-enable them
once we've sorted out the remaining ownership/serialiazation issues
between DeclContexts and TranslationUnion, DeclGroups, etc.

Douglas Gregor 1a49af9681 Add QualifiedDeclRefExpr, which retains additional source-location
information for declarations that were referenced via a qualified-id,
e.g., N::C::value. We keep track of the location of the start of the
nested-name-specifier. Note that the difference between
QualifiedDeclRefExpr and DeclRefExpr does have an effect on the
semantics of function calls in two ways:
  1) The use of a qualified-id instead of an unqualified-id suppresses
     argument-dependent lookup
  2) If the name refers to a virtual function, the qualified-id
  version will call the function determined statically while the
  unqualified-id version will call the function determined dynamically
  (by looking up the appropriate function in the vtable).

Neither of these features is implemented yet, but we do print out
qualified names for QualifiedDeclRefExprs as part of the AST printing.

Douglas Gregor 5c37de7885 Add support for calls to dependent names within templates, e.g.,
template<typename T> void f(T x) {
    g(x); // g is a dependent name, so don't even bother to look it up
    g(); // error: g is not a dependent name
  }

Note that when we see "g(", we build a CXXDependentNameExpr. However,
if none of the call arguments are type-dependent, we will force the
resolution of the name "g" and replace the CXXDependentNameExpr with
its result.

GCC actually produces a nice error message when you make this
mistake, and even offers to compile your code with -fpermissive. I'll
do the former next, but I don't plan to do the latter.

- Implement RewritePropertySetter(). While the routine is simple, there were some tricky changes to RewriteFunctionBodyOrGlobalInitializer(), the main rewriter loop. It also required some additional instance data to distinguish setters from getters, as well as some changes to RewritePropertyGetter().

- Changed ObjCPropertyRefExpr::getSourceRange() to point to the end of the property name (not the beginning). Also made a minor name change from "Loc"->"IdLoc" (to make it clear the Loc does not point to the ".").

Douglas Gregor b4609806e9 Add a new expression node, CXXOperatorCallExpr, which expresses a
function call created in response to the use of operator syntax that
resolves to an overloaded operator in C++, e.g., "str1 +
str2" that resolves to std::operator+(str1, str2)". We now build a
CXXOperatorCallExpr in C++ when we pick an overloaded operator. (But
only for binary operators, where we actually implement overloading)

I decided *not* to refactor the current CallExpr to make it abstract
(with FunctionCallExpr and CXXOperatorCallExpr as derived
classes). Doing so would allow us to make CXXOperatorCallExpr a little
bit smaller, at the cost of making the argument and callee accessors
virtual. We won't know if this is going to be a win until we can parse
lots of C++ code to determine how much memory we'll save by making
this change vs. the performance penalty due to the extra virtual
calls.

git-svn-id: https://llvm.org/svn/llvm-project/cfe/trunk@59306 91177308-0d34-0410-b5e6-96231b3b80d8

Douglas Gregor eb8f306325 Implement support for operator overloading using candidate operator
functions for built-in operators, e.g., the builtin

  bool operator==(int const*, int const*)

can be used for the expression "x1 == x2" given:

  struct X {
    operator int const*();
  } x1, x2;

The scheme for handling these built-in operators is relatively simple:
for each candidate required by the standard, create a special kind of
candidate function for the built-in. If overload resolution picks the
built-in operator, we perform the appropriate conversions on the
arguments and then let the normal built-in operator take care of it.

There may be some optimization opportunity left: if we can reduce the
number of built-in operator overloads we generate, overload resolution
for these cases will go faster. However, one must be careful when
doing this: GCC generates too few operator overloads in our little
test program, and fails to compile it because none of the overloads it
generates match.

Note that we only support operator overload for non-member binary
operators at the moment. The other operators will follow.

As part of this change, ImplicitCastExpr can now be an lvalue.

Douglas Gregor 49badde06e Refactor the expression class hierarchy for casts. Most importantly:
- CastExpr is the root of all casts
  - ImplicitCastExpr is (still) used for all explicit casts
  - ExplicitCastExpr is now the root of all *explicit* casts
  - ExplicitCCastExpr (new name needed!?) is a C-style cast in C or C++
  - CXXFunctionalCastExpr inherits from ExplicitCastExpr
  - CXXNamedCastExpr inherits from ExplicitCastExpr and is the root of all
    of the C++ named cast expression types (static_cast, dynamic_cast, etc.)
  - Added classes CXXStaticCastExpr, CXXDynamicCastExpr,
    CXXReinterpretCastExpr, and CXXConstCastExpr to

Also, fixed returned-stack-addr.cpp, which broke once when we fixed
reinterpret_cast to diagnose double->int* conversions and again when
we eliminated implicit conversions to reference types. The fix is in
both testcase and SemaChecking.cpp.

Most of this patch is simply support for the renaming. There's very
little actual change in semantics.

Steve Naroff 4eb206bebc Add semantic analysis for "blocks".
Highlights...

- 4 new AST nodes, BlockExpr, BlockStmtExpr, BlockExprExpr, BlockDeclRefExpr.
- Sema::ActOnBlockStart(), ActOnBlockError(), ActOnBlockStmtExpr(), ActOnBlockExprExpr(), ActOnBlockReturnStmt().

Next steps...

- hack Sema::ActOnIdentifierExpr() to deal with block decl refs.
- add attribute handler for byref decls.
- add test cases.

Argyrios Kyrtzidis 987a14bf58 Add support for C++'s "type-specifier ( expression-list )" expression:
-The Parser calls a new "ActOnCXXTypeConstructExpr" action.
-Sema, depending on the type and expressions number:
   -If the type is a class, it will treat it as a class constructor. [TODO]
   -If there's only one expression (i.e. "int(0.5)" ), creates a new "CXXFunctionalCastExpr" Expr node
   -If there are no expressions (i.e "int()" ), creates a new "CXXZeroInitValueExpr" Expr node.

Argyrios Kyrtzidis 0835a3cdee Add ExplicitCastExpr to replace the current CastExpr, and have ImplicitCastExpr and ExplicitCastExpr derive from a common base class (CastExpr):
Expr
  -> CastExpr
     -> ExplicitCastExpr
     -> ImplicitCastExpr
