The files incluses the .il + dependent assemblies to reproduce this issue.
Description of Problem:
Use of tail opcode fails (unless you run with -debug=mdb-optimizations)
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. ilasm tailcall.il
2. mono tailcall.exe
Actual Results:
[no output is displayed]
Expected Results:
Pass
How often does this happen?
Always
Additional Information:
If you use "mono --debug=mdb-optimizations tailcall.exe" the program works as
expected.
fyi - This works on Microsoft's CLR
