Have you tried rebuilding the Newtonsoft.Json.dll assembly against Mono for Android 4.0? It's plausible that the 1.9.2 BCL was incompatible with the 4.0 BCL... :-/

Alternatively, it's possible that Fast Deployment is somehow missing that assembly. You should also try disabling Fast Deployment, Clean, and Rebuild your project. Fast Deployment can be disabled in the Project Properties dialog.
