beta3+ bugs fixed:
49693 (crash on ..)
47795 (filepicker slowness)

Also includes patches from disttsc@bart.nl to fix:
9542 (esc should dismiss)
42054 (filepicker should recognize ~)
42056 (make the filepicker history list work)
