We have a better type to represent "a coord or nothing", and that's Maybe.
This code is shorter, and I think reads generally better / is less easy to
misuse.
I wrote this on top of bug 1547126 so there shouldn't be conflicts.

SVG performance with the fallback path with WebRender is very bad. This
patch avoids fallback by always producing a rasterized surface we store
in SurfaceCache, but also clamping the size consistently to a configured
maximum. This will cause us to upscale rasterized SVGs which is
undesirable visually but is a lower risk change that we can uplift to
beta than fixing the underlying performance issue.

The img decode API allows a web author to request that an image be
decoded at its intrinsic size and be notified when it has been
completed. This is useful to ensure an image is ready to display before
adding it to the DOM tree -- this will help reduce flickering.
Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D11362
When the underlying image request (imgIRequest) changes for an image, we
need to ensure that we invalidate the cached WebRenderImageData such that
the image container stored therein is updated to be for the correct
image. This gets a little tricky because some display items store both
the current and previous images, and choose to display the latter if the
former is not yet ready. We also don't know what image the image
container belongs to. As such, we now compare the producer ID of the
current frame in the image container, to the expected producer ID of the
current image request. If they don't match, we must regenerate the
display list.
Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D19699
Originally we would invalidate image containers synchronously when
SVGRootRenderingObserver::OnRenderingChange was called. However at this
point in time, the layout tree is in the middle of updating its own
state, and triggering a paint will be problematic. Animated vector
images did not suffer from this problem because they would defer to the
next refresh tick, but non-animated do not receive refresh tick events.
As such, we should just defer the invalidation to immediately after the
layout tree has finished updating itself.
Differential Revision: https://phabricator.services.mozilla.com/D15668
If a vector image has an image container, it is unlikely the caller will
call VectorImage::Draw (and thus Show indirectly) to display the image.
As such, WebRender was missing subsequent invalidations and not
regenerating the rasterized surface as expected. Thus we now resume
honoring the invalidations if we updated the image container.

Summary: Really sorry for the size of the patch. It's mostly automatic
s/nsIDocument/Document/ but I had to fix up in a bunch of places manually to
add the right namespacing and such.
Overall it's not a very interesting patch I think.
nsDocument.cpp turns into Document.cpp, nsIDocument.h into Document.h and
nsIDocumentInlines.h into DocumentInlines.h.
I also changed a bunch of nsCOMPtr usage to RefPtr, but not all of it.
While fixing up some of the bits I also removed some unneeded OwnerDoc() null
checks and such, but I didn't do anything riskier than that.
This needs to add a few of includes in other places which were relying on the
massive (now gone) list in nsDocument.h.
I also needed to move an AnimationTimeline destructor out of line because it
relied on dom::Animation being defined, yet Animation.h includes
AnimationTimeline.h, so include hell.

If FLAG_HIGH_QUALITY_SCALING is used, we should use
SurfaceCache::LookupBestMatch just like how it is done in RasterImage.
This may provide an alternative size at which we should rasterize the
SVG instead of the requested size. Since SurfaceCache imposes a maximum
size for which it will permit rasterized SVGs, we should also bypass the
cache entirely if we are well above that and simply draw directly to the
draw target in such cases.
With WebRender, it is somewhat more complicated. We will now return
NOT_SUPPORTED if the size is too big, and this should trigger fallback
to blob images. This should only produce drawing commands for the
relevant region and save us the high cost of rasterized a very large
surface on the main thread, which at the same time, looking as crisp as
a user would expect.

In addition to the image container, the draw result can also be useful
for callers to know whether or not the surface(s) in the container are
fully decoded or not. This is used in subsequent parts to avoid
flickering in some cases.

Move the initialization of SharedSurfacesParent from the compositor
thread creation to mirror the other WebRender-specific components, such
as the render thread creation. Now it will only be created if WebRender
is in use. Also prevent shared surfaces from being used by the image
frame allocator, even if image.mem.shared is set -- there is no purpose
in allowing this at present. It was causing startup crashes for users
who requested image.mem.shared and/or WebRender via gfx.webrender.all
but did not actually get WebRender at all. Surfaces would get allocated
in the shared memory, try to register themselves with the WR render
thread, and then crash since that thread was never created.
This is important because it ensures we release the shared memory handle
(although not the data itself) for the underlying surface buffer when it
turns out we will probably never need to share it. If we do need to
share the surface data with the GPU process, it will reallocate a handle
if necessary, and close it when it is finished. On some platforms we
only have a finite number of handles, so if we don't need them, we
should close them.
This is largely trivial because the meat of the implementation is
located in ImageResource and we already added GetFrameInternal.
Interestingly VectorImage::IsUnlocked does not actually check if the
image is locked, but instead only checks for animation consumers. This
is consistent with its historical behavior on when to issue an unlocked
draw event.
Note that we do not implement the original GetImageContainer and
IsImageContainerAvailable APIs. This is because the former does not
accept an SVG context and it would be best to discourage its use in old
code lest we get incorrect/unexpected results.
No functional change aside from the implementation from
VectorImage::GetFrameAtSize being repurposed for GetFrameInternal and
returning an additional error code with the surface.
Creating a DrawTarget can be an expensive operation. This is especially
true in this case because checking for a cached already decoded version
of the VectorImage is expected to be fast. Currently VectorImage::Draw
is the typical path to render these images, but in the future, getting
the frames directly or indirectly (through an ImageContainer) will
become more common.
This adds IsImageContainerAvailableAtSize and GetImageContainerAtSize to
the imgIContainer interface, as well as stubbing it for all of the
classes which implement it. The real implementations will follow for the
more complicated classes (RasterImage, VectorImage).
The core of this change is in gfxContext.*:
- change gfxContext::CurrentMatrix() and gfxContext::SetMatrix() to
return and take a Matrix respectively, instead of converting to
and from a gfxMatrix (which uses doubles). These functions therefore
will now match the native representation of the transform in gfxContext.
- add two new functions CurrentMatrixDouble() and SetMatrixDouble() that
do what the old CurrentMatrix() and SetMatrix() used to do, i.e.
convert between the float matrix and the double matrix.
The rest of the change is just updating the call sites to avoid round-
tripping between floats and doubles where possible. Call sites that are
hard to fix are migrated to the new XXXDouble functions which preserves
the existing behaviour.

Most cases where the pointer is stored into an already-declared variable can
trivially be changed to MakeNotNull<T*>, as the NotNull raw pointer will end
up in a smart pointer.
In RAII cases, the target type can be specified (e.g.:
`MakeNotNull<RefPtr<imgFrame>>)`), in which case the variable type may just be
`auto`, similar to the common use of MakeUnique.
Except when the target type is a base pointer, in which case it must be
specified in the declaration.

This patch does the following.
- Moves nsWindowSizes from nsWindowMemoryReporter.h to its own file,
nsWindowSizes.h, so it can be included more widely without exposing
nsWindowMemoryReporter.
- Merges nsArenaMemoryStats.h (which defines nsTabSizes and nsArenaMemoryStats)
into nsWindowSizes.h.
- Renames nsArenaMemoryStats as nsArenaSizes, and nsWindowSizes::mArenaStats as
nsWindowSizes::mArenaSizes. This is the more usual naming scheme for such
types.
- Renames FRAME_ID_STAT_FIELD as NS_ARENA_SIZES_FIELD.
- Passes nsWindowSizes to PresShell::AddSizeOfIncludingThis() and
nsPresArena::AddSizeOfExcludingThis(), instead of a bunch of smaller things.
One nice consequence is that the odd nsArenaMemoryStats::mOther field is no
longer necessary, because we can update nsWindowSizes::mLayoutPresShellSize
directly in nsPresArena::AddSizeOfExcludingThis().
- Adds |const| to a few methods.

All the SizeOf{In,Ex}cludingThis() functions take a MallocSizeOf function
which measures memory blocks. This patch introduces a new type, SizeOfState,
which includes a MallocSizeOf function *and* a table of already-measured
pointers, called SeenPtrs. This gives us a general mechanism to measure
graph-like data structures, by recording which nodes have already been
measured. (This approach is used in a number of existing reporters, but not in
a uniform fashion.)
The patch also converts the window memory reporting to use SizeOfState in a lot
of places, all the way through to the measurement of Elements. This is a
precursor for bug 1383977 which will measure Stylo elements, which involve
Arcs.
The patch also converts the existing mAlreadyMeasuredOrphanTrees table in the
OrphanReporter to use the new mechanism.

Most of this patch is updating a few places that use gfxMatrix to use
the equivalent-but-differently-named functions on MatrixDouble:
- Translate/Rotate/Scale get turned into PreTranslate/PreRotate/PreScale
- Transform(Point) gets turned into TransformPoint(Point)
- gfxMatrix::TransformBounds(gfxRect) gets turned into
gfxRect::TransformBoundsBy(gfxMatrix).
- gfxMatrix::Transform(gfxRect) gets turned into
gfxRect::TransformBy(gfxMatrix).
The last two functions are added in this patch as convenience wrappers
to gfxRect instead of Matrix.h because we don't want Matrix.h to "know"
about gfxRect (to avoid adding gecko dependencies on Moz2D). Once we
turn gfxRect into a typedef for RectDouble these will be eliminated
anyway.

Prior to this patch whenever we wanted to pass on a modified SVGImageContext
we would pass on a new object initialized with some of the data of the object
we were given and with the new data we wanted to change. Unfortunately we
were sometimes failing to faithfully copy member data that we do not want
to modify (because of default arguments). This patch fixes that by making us
fully copy the object we were given using its copy constructor and then
explicitly override the data we want to change.

During painting we do some image decoding, but we want to send the image progress notifications from that decoding async. The CSS image renderer checks if the image is complete before painting it. So if the decoding we did during painting resulted in the images becoming complete there is no way to tell that during the same paint. Thus making that decoding a waste of time.
So we add a limited way of telling if the result of a StartDecoding call has resulting in an image that is ready to paint so we can get that result during the same paint.
I would have prefered to change StartDecoding to just return a bool but that would have made the bool an outparam, which would make every StartDecoding call uglier with extra code. Changing it to a notxpcom function would have fixed that, but I'm not sure if that is safe.
Layout has been using imgIContainer::IsOpaque to determine if the image will draw opaquely to all pixels it covers, and doing culling based on this.
However imgIContainer::IsOpaque doesn't guarantee anything. It only describes if the image, when in a decoded state, has all opaque pixels. So if the image doesn't have fully decoded frames around (because they got discarded) it may not draw opaquely to all of its pixels.
So we create a new function that first checks if there is a fully decoded frame.
