The optimization that allows opacity items that only contain one item (which can fold the opacity into it's own drawing) to flatten away will never apply when we have layer event region items. This is because opacity generates a stacking context and we always push a new layer event regions item for a stacking context. So if we want to keep this optimization we need to extend to to at least two items. Layer event regions items have empty bounds, which allows the non-overlapping test to pass for layer event region items. Although it will work with any non-overlapping items.

This is because the rules in the table in section 10.4 of CSS 2.1 only
apply when width and height are auto (which we already tested) and when
the image has an intrinsic ratio (which we did not).
I had hoped to simplify the code further, but there are tricky ordering
dependencies that make it hard to do. (In particular, in the branches
for one dimension auto and one non-auto, the non-auto dimension is
computed first.)

This makes the color matrix and component transfer Moz2D filters generate
an infinite output, which is then cropped to the primitive's filter
primitive subregion by a subsequent crop filter node. This still gives us
different behavior than other browser when the primitive subregion is
overridden using the x/y/width/height attributes - other browsers either
ignore those completely (IE) or only let them crop the default subregion
(which is defined to be the same as the input subregion) and not enlargen
it - but I'll fix that in a separate bug.

Bug 1106755 - Make more overflow area computation code apply only to floating ::first-letter. r=jfkthame

In inline layout there's no need to do anything with overflow areas
since RelativePositionFrames handles it. Apparently doing some of the
work messes things up somehow, so the easy fix is to make the inline
::first-letter codepath behave more like nsInlineFrame and not do any
messing with overflow areas. So this moves the rest of the overflow
code in nsFirstLetterFrame::Reflow into the float-only codepath. There
don't appear to be any ordering issues with the movement, since the code
that the FinishAndStoreOverflow call is moved across deals with creating
and destroying continuations of the child.
All the added tests pass with the patch, but without the patch
overflow-inline-nooverflow.html fails.

Sometimes, in very specific cases, the visible region gets simplified to one rect and is thus much bigger than the draw region. This becomes a problem if we decide to pull an opaque background color from a lower layer so that we are opaque. In which case we draw the background color over the whole visible region. But we use the draw region to determine if we can place items below this layer, so that background color could cover them incorrectly.

This fails without the patch; I'm hoping it will be fixed by the
combination of patch 1 in this bug and bug 1055667 patch 5.
(Interestingly, it fails both due to mispositioning as expected, and
also due to bad overflow area computation causing failure to paint the
ruby text.)

The function IsSubjectToAsyncTransforms() was not correctly reporting when a
layer was actually subject to async transforms. As a result, sometimes display
items from above such a layer would end up in a layer below. This could
manifest as page elements being improperly covered by async scrolling elements.

I confirmed that the reftest passes with the patch and fails without the
patch.
This is the crazy codepath where nsTableRowFrame sets doReflowChild to
true, and then tests some additional conditions, and based on those
conditions decides to do part (but not all) of the work of reflowing the
child. This is making relative and sticky positioning work correctly in
that case, which we should really just get rid of, but which I don't
want to deal with now.
