jst%netscape.com 62e88d8c15 Fixing bugs 64523, 50018, 57626, 59024, 61413 and probably others, making the document and form JS engine resolve hooks find what they're supposed to find, and nothing more, making the element-by-name and element-by-id lookup in the document be hashtable based to avoid walking the whole DOM tree over and over again when resolving names on the document object and also on form objects. This is an order of magnitude speedup for pages that contain a large number of form controls, such as hotmail and aol mail. dbaron%fas.harvard.edu b4301cc0a7 Change the way nsDocument stores its children by replacing separate nsVoidArrays for prolog and epilog with a single nsISupportsArray that also holds the root element. Using this change, simplify many of the child handling methods in nsDocument (and fix some bugs in them). jst%netscape.com ee4b181034 Changing the way content elements store their name information, previously the elements generally stored a name atom and a namespace ID, now they store a pointer to a shared structure containing the name atom, the prefix atom and the namespace ID. This structure is shared between nodes with unique names (ie same name, prefix and ns ID) within a document. Documents now hold a hash table of the names in the document. The changes to mozilla/rdf are not reviewed but they are approved by waterson@netscape.com and the changes to mozilla/layout are reviewed by buster@netscape.com. 2000-05-10 13:13:39 +00:00

[3] Cutting down the size of content. Moved implementation of nsIDOMReceiver to nsListenerManager. This is not true aggregation since it isn't transitive, but it's OK for now. It will be necessary for nsListenerManager to have a reference to its content in the future anyway, so the transitivity could be done.

vidur%netscape.com e8157b30cb Fix for bugs 20485 and 24600. We no longer flush immediately in the content sink when we hit a script element. Instead the sink is a document observer and listens for BeginUpdate/EndUpdate notifications when evaluating a script and flushes only if necessary. nisheeth%netscape.com 22a5959edb Work done by Vidur and me. Added a FlushPendingNotifications() method to the document. This method flushes the pending content notifications from the content sink and the pending reflow notifications from the pres shell. tbogard%aol.net eb96099e6d 1.) WebShell no longer implements nsIScriptContextOwner. 
2.)  WebShell now implements the new nsIScriptGlobalObjectOwner.
3.)  WebShell supports GetInterface to nsIScriptGlobalObject.
4.)  Documents no longer carry around a reference to nsIScriptContextOwner.  Instead they hold on to a nsIScriptGlobalObject.  nsIDocument::GetScriptContextOwner has now become nsIDocument::GetScriptGlobalObject().  Same change to the set methods.
