For example, this allows screen reader users to know which permission each control is associated with.

Some tests explicitly set browser.startup.homepage, but only through

This ignores failures to get expiration data from favicon requests. It also adds
some safety to the rest of onStopRequest wrapping it in a try...catch block to
catch any unexpected errors and correctly reject the waiting promise.

Summary:
This moves the load of favicons into the content process. We use the same logic
for finding favicons (based on waiting until none have shown up for a short
time) but then load the favicon and convert it to a data uri which we then
dispatch to the parent process. Along the way this fixes asssociating the load
with the tab for WebExtension and devtools, fixes CSP usage for the load, fixes
expiry detection of the favicon and stops us from loading the same resource
twice.
This change also merges the prefs browser.chrome.site_icons and
browser.chrome.favicons leaving just the former controlling favicon loading. It
adds the pref browser.chrome.guess_favicon to allow disabling guessing where
a favicon might be located for a site (at <hostname>/favicon.ico). This is
mainly to allow disabling this in tests where those additional yet automatic
requests are uninteresting for the test.
There are multiple clean-ups that can follow this but this is a first step along
that path.

Bug 1365626 - Remove View MathML Source feature. r=mconley

The in-tree version of View MathML Source appears to have low usage, so it seems
reasonable to remove. A similar feature is available as an add-on.
In recent months, the in-tree version has actually been broken, which wasn't
noticed for quite a while. This adds further evidence for removal given the
lack of maintenance and interest in this feature.

Non-sensical combinations (such as "Ctrl+Command" or "Ctrl+Ctrl") are
forbidden.

Bug 1470587: Uninitialize reporter created during test. r=mossop

At some point, the matching call to reporter.uninit got removed from this test.
The result is that the reporter still exists and is still collecting errors
during the rest of the tasks in the file. In most tasks, this isn't an issue
since we use reporter.handleMessage to test message handling at a per-reporter
level.
But the telemetry measures are shared between multiple reporters, thus they are
susceptible to interference from other running reporter instances.
The error that is being logged when this test fails is from the test add-on
created in testAddonIDMangle. My best guess is that the error logged by the
add-on is being processed during an idle moment in another task, since we
schedule processing to be delayed until the browser is idle. It seems this
scheduling is pretty consistent on certain Linux platforms.

After Bug 1446101, this binding only shows the menupopup to select a container
when long-pressing the new tab button. There is only one instance of this
binding (created by #tabbrowser-tabs), so this patch moves the event listener
alongside the element creation.

Right now, a XBL <constructor> runs before Custom Elements inside of its
<content> get upgraded. This leads to unexpected behavior where deck.selectedIndex = N
causes selectedIndex to get set as an expando property on the DOM node rather
than running the setter defined by the Custom Element.
Once the Custom Element does finally get upgraded, the selectedIndex getter and
setter don't get attached since there's an expando property with the same name.
This isn't a case we want to have to support from calling code. So this patch fixes
this one case by manually upgrading the element inside the constructor before
anything accesses the node. In Bug 1470242 we are planning to make this happen
behind the scenes so we don't need to do this for every CE inside of <content>.

We now show it on moz-extension: instead, which was forgotten previously.
This should probably have been in its own separate bug, but the changes in bug 1470020
surfaced this issue by throwing a lot of console errors when the baseURI was accessed,
so I didn't want to defer the fix.

- Tracking loaded because TP is off
- Tracking loaded because of an exception

Bug 1466833 - Upgrade the <xul:deck> inside of search-one-offs at the beginning of the XBL constructor;r=timdream

Right now, a XBL <constructor> runs before Custom Elements inside of its
<content> get upgraded. This leads to unexpected behavior where deck.selectedIndex = N
causes selectedIndex to get set as an expando property on the DOM node rather
than running the setter defined by the Custom Element.
Once the Custom Element does finally get upgraded, the selectedIndex getter and
setter don't get attached since there's an expando property with the same name.
This isn't a case we want to have to support from calling code. So this patch fixes
this one case by manually upgrading the element inside the constructor before
anything accesses the node. In Bug 1470242 we are planning to make this happen
behind the scenes so we don't need to do this for every CE inside of <content>.

If discard is used immediately after creating a tab, restoring the tab
resulted in an unusable tab. This was due to the sessionstate not being

This change makes nsEscape::T_EscapeURL not escape spaces when passed esc_OnlyNonASCII.
This fixes a web-compat issue for URLs such as "javascript: alert('hello');" and the fact that data: URIs with spaces around MIME type are rejected.

There was an error trying to redefine variables from l10n.js via loadSubScript. We really only need
it loaded once like a frame script but I had to fix the l10n.js code to handle this properly.

Bug 1467205 - minify non-JS files on desktop builds; r=chmanchester

Shipping smaller installers is a win, and we already do this on
Fennec. (The only files that get modified currently are .properties
files, which have their comment lines stripped.) We don't minify JS
files at the moment due to needing to have a larger conversation around
debuggability of JS, and because the setup for minifying needs more love
for non-Android platforms.
Just doing this, however, wins about 400k of on-disk space and ~100k
installer size, so it seems like a reasonable first step.

The trigger is missing a WHERE clause, and as such it ends up doing a lot more work than necessary.
The nsAutoCompleteController changes cover a bug where VK_RIGHT autofills when it's not necessary,
and by doing that it will move the caret to an unexpected position (far right) even if it didn't
actually complete some preselected text.
