The current version generates the preview when the container is
created. This is problematic for various reasons:
* If the image does not have an src, it will never have a preview.
* If the |src| of the image changes or a a canvas is drawn to, the
  preview stays the same.
* Generating preview takes time and memory even if the preview is never
  shown.

These changes modify the markup-view to always generete the preview
when it is about to be used. This ensures the preview content is always
up-to-date.
