Now that XPT files are not loaded from files at runtime, code for

This means that a couple of test XPIDL interfaces will get shipped in

much.

This also puts XPT files into the local objdir for the XPIDL makefile,
instead of dist/bin, because they are no longer part of the
distribution.

Kris Maglione ad43cab9bd Bug 1446833: Part 4 - Make sure directory service overrides actually take effect. r=rhelmer
The directory service caches certain directory entries, or has them set by
other callers using `.set()`. When we try to override those directories with
custom providers, the cached value still takes precedence.

It might make more sense to just store the directory entry values directly in
the directory service's hash, but this patch just takes the less obtrusive
path of clearing cached values for keys that we override.

This patch also fixes the few instances where add-on manager tests leave files
in the global temporary directory which are now caught by the shutdown
assertions.

Kris Maglione d9f4173494 Bug 1446833: Part 1 - Stop throwing raw numeric error codes in xpcshell/head.js. r=florian
The xpcshell harness expects to catch the Cr result codes that it throws, but
it often fails when an assertion is used in asynchronous code. That results in
a raw numeric error code being reported, with no location information
available to figure out why or where the test is failing.

Throwing an actual Exception object maintains location information for use
when the error is reported.

Daniel Stenberg e5d3226694 bug 1434852 - introducing TRR (DOH); r=mcmanus, valentin
Provides an optional resolver mechanism for Firefox that allows running
together with or instead of the native resolver.

TRR offers resolving of host names using a dedicated DNS-over-HTTPS server
(HTTPS is required, HTTP/2 is preferable).

DNS-over-HTTPS (DOH) allows DNS resolves with enhanced privacy, secure
transfers and improved performance.

To keep the failure rate at a minimum, the TRR system manages a dynamic
persistent blacklist for host names that can't be resolved with DOH but works
with the native resolver. Blacklisted entries will not be retried over DOH for
a couple of days. "localhost" and names in the ".local" TLD will not be
resolved via DOH.

TRR is preffed OFF by default and you need to set a URI for an available DOH
server to be able to use it. Since the URI for DOH is set with a name itself,
it may have to use the native resolver for bootstrapping. (Optionally, the
user can set the IP address of the DOH server in a pref to avoid the required
initial native resolve.)

When TRR starts up, it will first verify that it works by checking a
"confirmation" domain name. This confirmation domain is a pref by default set
to "example.com". TRR will also by default await the captive-portal detection
to raise its green flag before getting activated.

All prefs for TRR are under the "network.trr" hierarchy.

The DNS-over-HTTPS spec: https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-ietf-doh-dns-over-https-03

Andrew McCreight 5dec0e0beb Bug 1432992, part 1 - Remove definitions of Ci, Cr, Cc, and Cu. r=florian
This patch was autogenerated by my decomponents.py

It covers almost every file with the extension js, jsm, html, py,
xhtml, or xul.

It removes blank lines after removed lines, when the removed lines are
preceded by either blank lines or the start of a new block. The "start
of a new block" is defined fairly hackily: either the line starts with
//, ends with */, ends with {, <![CDATA[, """ or '''. The first two
cover comments, the third one covers JS, the fourth covers JS embedded
in XUL, and the final two cover JS embedded in Python. This also
applies if the removed line was the first line of the file.

It covers the pattern matching cases like "var {classes: Cc,
interfaces: Ci, utils: Cu, results: Cr} = Components;". It'll remove
the entire thing if they are all either Ci, Cr, Cc or Cu, or it will
remove the appropriate ones and leave the residue behind. If there's
only one behind, then it will turn it into a normal, non-pattern
matching variable definition. (For instance, "const { classes: Cc,
Constructor: CC, interfaces: Ci, utils: Cu } = Components" becomes
"const CC = Components.Constructor".)

Andrew Halberstadt f354075c7a Bug 1434430 - [flake8] Fix blank 'except' statements r=rwood
This is a new issue that gets linted with flake8 3.5.0. Basically you should
never use a blank except: statement.

This will catch all exceptions, including KeyboardInterrupt and SystemExit
(which is likely not intended). If a catch all is needed, use
`except: Exception`. If you *really* mean to also catch KeyboardInterrupt et
al, use `except: BaseException`.

Of course, being specific is often better than a catch all.

Andrew Halberstadt 7f664cfdaf Bug 1209463 - [test] Log suite names in test harnesses, r=gbrown
Suite names are currently only used by formatters to print out
an overall summary from |mach test| and |mach mochitest|. So
this doesn't need to be exact and can be tweaked further at a
later date.

If multiple test invocations have the same suite name, their
results will be merged in the overall summary. If a suite name
is missing, the summary will contain a placeholder name.

Julian Descottes af2e5d5dd1 Bug 1416711 - Add registerAllActors API;r=ochameau
Most of the codebase that needs to create a debugger server
can use a server with all actors registered.

Define an additional method registerAllActors to do that.

By previous implementations, all the call sites that were
using browser: true were indirectly using tab & root: true
as well. So all the call sites using browser: true have been
migrated to registerAllActors and the specific behavior of
the browser: true case has been removed. Passing browser:true
to registerActors now only registers browser specific actors.

J.C. Jones cdfad59288 Bug 1409259 - Add xpcshell tests for the Symantec distrust r=keeler
This commit adds two new xpcshell tests, both of them testing whether the
security state in TransportSecurityInfo includes the new
STATE_CERT_DISTRUST_IMMINENT flag under the correct circumstances.

The first test, test_symantec_apple_google.js, tests the four combinations of
certs that chain to an affected Symantec root: with/without a whitelisted
intermediate, and before/after the notBefore cutoff date.

The second test, test_symantec_apple_google_unaffected.js, tests an unrelated
ca->intermediate->ee chain that does not chain to an affected root, and ensures
the flag is not set.

This patch adds SymantecSanctionsServer to the mozbuild and xpcshell test
infrastructure files to ensure it runs properly on TaskCluster, too.

Geoff Brown 3160467cf1 Bug 1390599 - 3. Add --verify and --verify-max-time options to xpcshell test harness; r=jmaher
This adds test verification support to the xpcshell test harness. With --verify,
the specified test(s) are run 20 times, then another 20 times in chaos mode.

Tests are run sequentially. I have some interest in running in parallel also,
but this may not be practical: 1. Under normal circumstances, a test does not
run in parallel with itself, so it is arguably an unrealistic mode of operation;
2. Logging fails if it sees a test start after a test with the same name has completed.
