Doug Thayer dc006145f9 Bug 1388134 - Move some OS.Constants.Path members to lazy init r=baku
These calls to GetPathToSpecialDir are performing some unnecessary IO
during early startup which we'd like to defer. Simply adding the
required ones to the list in osfile_async_front.jsm should mostly get
us there.

Ted Mielczarek d59bc31677 Bug 1399877 - globally define MOZ_DLL_PREFIX/MOZ_DLL_SUFFIX; r=gps
Several source files use DLL_PREFIX/DLL_SUFFIX defines, and they all set
them in moz.build using `DEFINES`. This is problematic for the WSL
build because the quoting gets lost somewhere between bash and cl.exe.
We cannot simply set them globally in moz.configure because their
stringified definitions would conflict with the `set_config` of
DLL_PREFIX/DLL_SUFFIX. Therefore, we globally define
MOZ_DLL_PREFIX/MOZ_DLL_SUFFIX and change all define-related uses of
DLL_PREFIX/DLL_SUFFIX to use their MOZ-equivalents instead.

Haik Aftandilian ca8ba234b7 Bug 1487204 - Add platform support for calling authorizationStatusForMediaType and requestAccessForMediaType from JS r=spohl
Add a new interface nsIOSPermissionRequest for querying the
staus of access permissions for audio/video media capture and
requesting access to audio/video capture devices. Provides an
implementation for macOS 10.14 and a default implementation
(nsOSPermissionRequestBase) for earlier macOS versions and other
platforms. The default implementation always returns status
indicating access is allowed.

I hit this error when testing geolocation with Wi-Fi disabled. There is a race where the WifiGeoPositionProvider gets shut down (settting this.listener to null) but the xhr request is still alive (and the xhr callback later hits the null this.listener).

Chris Peterson 201ee6decf Bug 645325 - Part 2: Remove the two-second startup delay for the MLS fallback provider on Windows and macOS. r=garvank r=jdm
The Windows and macOS location providers used to start the MLS provider (with a two-second delay) and then call the operating system's location provider, letting them race. Currently, however, we only start the MLS fallback provider after the system provider returns an error, so the two-second startup delay is just wasted time.

I left the starup delay option in MLSFallback because the Linux gpsd provider still uses it to race MLS with the system's GPS provider.

This patch disables device sensors except orientation by default.
It implements per-sensor prefs to disable orientation, motion, proximity and ambient light
selectively. The patch also makes the pref checks happen at runtime (versus on process
start) using Preferences::AddBoolVarCache.
The patch also removes the related Event constructors also.

Andrew McCreight 5dec0e0beb Bug 1432992, part 1 - Remove definitions of Ci, Cr, Cc, and Cu. r=florian
This patch was autogenerated by my decomponents.py

It covers almost every file with the extension js, jsm, html, py,
xhtml, or xul.

It removes blank lines after removed lines, when the removed lines are
preceded by either blank lines or the start of a new block. The "start
of a new block" is defined fairly hackily: either the line starts with
//, ends with */, ends with {, <![CDATA[, """ or '''. The first two
cover comments, the third one covers JS, the fourth covers JS embedded
in XUL, and the final two cover JS embedded in Python. This also
applies if the removed line was the first line of the file.

It covers the pattern matching cases like "var {classes: Cc,
interfaces: Ci, utils: Cu, results: Cr} = Components;". It'll remove
the entire thing if they are all either Ci, Cr, Cc or Cu, or it will
remove the appropriate ones and leave the residue behind. If there's
only one behind, then it will turn it into a normal, non-pattern
matching variable definition. (For instance, "const { classes: Cc,
Constructor: CC, interfaces: Ci, utils: Cu } = Components" becomes
"const CC = Components.Constructor".)

Kris Maglione 9c37be53dc Bug 1370027: Part 1 - Cleanly handle a subprocess child being reaped by NSPR. r=aswan
The first time any other code in the parent process uses NSPR (usually via
nsIProcess) to spawn a new process, it spawns a thread to contuously wait for
any child process to exit. This thread winds up reaping our child processes
before we get the chance to wait for them, which leads us to continuously poll
for them to exit.

We don't have a good way to handle this, but checking the error status of
waitpid at least prevents us from failing catastrophically.
