Separate concept of stylesheet URI into base URI (for resolving relative links) and sheet URI (for everything else), since they can differ for style elements (and inline style and style set from script, but that's for the next patch). We were leaking nsIClassInfo objects because a DOM class info getter returned AddRef()ed raw pointers. Most of our dom/ and content/ QueryInterface() implementations knew this and accounted for it, but not all. The leak fix is thus achieved by fixing the method to not call AddRef() on its return value, and fixing the appropriate QueryInterface() macros/implementations. As a bonus, this macro-izes many QueryInterface() implementations in content/ which were fully written out.

Make CSSStyleRuleImpl immutable by changing mutation code (including some merging of code between nsDOMCSSAttributeDeclaration and DOMCSSDeclarationImpl) so that it creates a new rule for the modified declaration. Change StyleRuleChanged notification signatures, and change pres shell's handling of style rule change, addition, and removal to just do reresolution. Remove fine-grained ways of clearing style data. up nsIDocumentObserver stylesheet stuff a bit. Make style sheets visible in
the CSSOM (though not completely accessible) from the moment the load is kicked
off. Make us have sheet objects that can be manipulated via CSSOM even for

Bug 141295 and 153681 - fix some timing problems with initial focus. Make sure that window watcher's activeWindow accurately reflects the last window to receive an NS_ACTIVATE. Remove the GetFocusController API from nsIDocument, since the focus controller can now be obtained for the entire lifetime of the document by using GetContainer(). It will be set to an empty throw function by default on all platforms except mac CW builds. This will allow us to not crash on systems that expect |operator new| to throw an exception by default and will suppress compiler warnings about how |operator new| should throw an exception instead of returning NULL.

- Modified selection to post a plevent to call which does the

- Edits in text widgets now use asynchronous reflow, paint,
and scroll processing full time.
- Removed redundant ScrollSelectionIntoView() calls in the

- Editor IME code now forced to flush reflows and paints before

Browser based listeners can now registers themselves using the AddGroupedEventListener and passing the system event group (which can be gotten via the nsIDOMEventReceiver interface). These listeners will now fire after all content based listeners have processed.
In this initial version of the checkin most browser listeners are still left in the original content group for stability purposes.

Bug 126669, we need to pass in aHasChildren parameter to the start tag serializing function because the node that is passed in may be a shallow copy, thereby making it impossible to determine if it originally had children, in the method itself. Second try at fixing bug 130778. Create a new content interface, nsIMenuElement, which is implemeneted on nsHTMLSelectElement, nsHTMLOptGroupElement, and the newly-created nsXULMenuElement. Create a nsXULMenuElement instance for XUL menubar and menupopup tags. Use this interface to set and get the active item from the XUL menuframe code and the :-moz-menuactive pseudoclass matching code. Should eliminate the Txul slowdown resulting from fetching the active item through js from the pseudoclass matching code. r=jkeiser, sr=jst, a=scc.

- Implement the :checked CSS pseudoclass which maps to the "selected" property on option elements.

- Eliminate the _moz-option-selected attribute; move the actual selected state into the option content node.
- Change all users of _moz-option-selected to use :checked.
- Add a third parameter to nsIDocument[Observer]::ContentStatesChanged to indicate which pseudoclass changed, this is used for optimizing handling of :checked state changes.

Fixing bug 114539. Getting rid of mInner in all our 'data' nodes and making those classes inherit nsGenericDOMDataNode in stead. Also remove mContentID from nsTextNode and push mRangeList and mListenerManager into hashtables since they are used so rarely. This results in a size reduction of nsTextNode from 44 bytes to 28 bytes (~36%). r=peterv@netscape.com, sr=hyatt@netscape.com.
