This function is arguably nicer than calling NS_ProcessNextEvent
manually, is slightly more efficient, and will enable better auditing
for NS_ProcessNextEvent when we do Quantum DOM scheduling changes.
GeckoAppShell.scheduleRestart was called from XPCOM toolkit when we
needed to restart after the Gecko thread exits. But because we made the
"Gecko:Exited" event contain a "restart" flag, we can handle that
entirely in Java now, so we don't need to call
GeckoAppShell.scheduleRestart anymore.
Adds back code that shouldn't have been removed in bug 1156046 that checks if the installation can be written to and if it isn't launches the elevated update
This removes the last uses of PR_smprintf from the tree (excluding the
security and nsprpub directories). It also fixes a related latent bug
in nsAppRunner.cpp (which was incorrectly freeing the pointer passed to
PR_SetEnv).

Change mozilla::Smprintf and friends to return a UniquePtr, rather than
relying on manual memory management. (Though after this patch there are
still a handful of spots needing SmprintfFree.)

Bug 1324617 added /other-licenses/nsis/Contrib/CityHash/cityhash/city.cpp
to the sources for browser/components/shell/, which gets linked into libxul
via browsercomps.
Bug 1348609 then made toolkit/xre/nsXREDirProvider.cpp use the same file,
which made toolkit depend on browser. That busts other XUL apps, which then
have to individually satisfy that dependency.
This change links city.cpp into libxul directly by compiling it as part of
toolkit/xre/.
NS_SetCurrentThreadName() is added as an alternative to PR_SetCurrentThreadName()
inside libxul. The thread names are collected in the form of crash annotation to
be processed on socorro.

clang's -Wcomma warning warns about suspicious use of the comma operator such as between two statements or calling a function for side effects within an expression. Check NS_SUCCEEDED() to use HasMoreElement() in an expression and confirm that it actually returned a legitimate out parameter.
toolkit/components/startup/nsAppStartup.cpp:436:58 [-Wcomma] possible misuse of comma operator here
toolkit/components/statusfilter/nsBrowserStatusFilter.cpp:165:66 [-Wcomma] possible misuse of comma operator here
toolkit/xre/CreateAppData.cpp:60:51 [-Wcomma] possible misuse of comma operator here

This patch implements async returns for IPDL using MozPromises. There
are following changes:
* Initialize AbstractThreads for MessageLoops
* Record promises and their reject functions
* When async message returns, call their resolve functions
* When send error or channel close, call their reject functions
* Implement "unresolved-ipc-promises" count for about:memory
* Test cases
See bug attachment for generated code from test cases

Separate AbstractThread::InitTLS and
AbstractThread::InitMainThread. Init AbstractThread main thread when
init nsThreadManager. Init AbstractThread TLS for all content process
types because for plugin and gmp processes we are doing IPC even
without init XPCOM and for content process init XPCOM requires IPC.

This patch centralizes all of the pref-checking code for e10s-multi in a
single function. It is intended to be used throughout the codebase to see if
e10s-multi is "on". It also introduces dom.ipc.multiOptOut, which can be set
by the user to indicate that they do not want to participate in the e10s-multi
experiment.

I'm adding a helper function mozILocaleService::GetRequestedLocale to simplify
most of the callsites that are looking for the first of the requested locales.
In most cases, I'm just matching the behavior of the code with reusing
LocaleService API instead of direct manipulation on the prefs.
That includes how I handle error case scenarios.
In case of sdk/l10n/locale.js I am reusing LocaleService heuristics over
the custom one from the file since the ones in LocaleService are just
more correct and unified accross the whole platform.
In case of FallbackEncoding I have to turn it into a nsIObserver to listen
to intl:requested-locales-changed.

Since the ApplyUpdate and SwitchToUpdatedApp functions are almost entirely the same this moves everything into ApplyUpdate.
Removes most of the gonk code from application update.
Makes client code and xpcshell tests use the same code for directory providers in nsUpdateDriver.cpp.
