Dimi Lee d6530bf9ad Bug 1166995 - P1. Notify DOMDocFetchSuccess when a fetch or XHR request completes successfully r=smaug,sfoster
The goal of this series of patches is to address the cases where sites
don't use standard form submission events.

The basic idea is inferring a form is submitted when the form is removed
from the DOM tree, but with one premise:
There must be a successful fetch or XHR request sent in the document before the
form is removed.

This is because websites usually send the credentials with a fetch or an
XHR. After the request succeeds, the website removes the form.

In summary, this patch does the following:
1. Add NotifyFetchOrXHRSuccess API in Document. The API sends a
   "DOMDocFetchSuccess" event to who registers the event listener.

2. When a fetch request or a XMLHttpReuqest completes and succeeds,
   call NotifyFetchOrXHRSuccess().

3. LoginMangerChild listen to `DOMDocFetchSuccess` event only when there
   is an user interaction on the password field.

Chris Peterson 2d4ca059e8 Bug 1691889 - Replace MOZ_MUST_USE with [[nodiscard]] in dom/. r=peterv
The MOZ_MUST_USE macro is defined as clang's and gcc's nonstandard __attribute__((warn_unused_result)). Now that we compile as C++17 by default (bug 1560664), we can replace MOZ_MUST_USE with C++17's standard [[nodiscard]] attribute.

The [[nodiscard]] attribute must precede a function declaration's declaration specifiers (like static, extern, inline, or virtual). The __attribute__((warn_unused_result)) attribute does not have this order restriction.

Sean Feng 12424aa6b0 Bug 1662265 - Fix input events handling for sync XHR when both TaskController and e10s are enabled r=smaug
There are two issues in our current setup

1) Input events which are occurring in the same tab are going to be lost
because sync XHR. We have event handling suppression for synx XHR, so input
events are going to be discarded.

2) Input events that are happening in another tab (same process as the
synx XHR tab) are not going to be delayed. This is not correct since
sync XHR should block the Javascript execution.

This patches fixes the above cases for when both TaskController and e10s are
enabled by suspending the InputTaskManager during sync XHR, which
delays the input event handling and keeps the events around.

Allow-list all Python code in tree for use with the black linter, and re-format all code in-tree accordingly.

2. Run ./mach lint --linter black --fix

3. Make some ad-hoc manual updates to python/mozbuild/mozbuild/test/configure/test_configure.py -- it has some hard-coded line numbers that the reformat breaks.

4. Make some ad-hoc manual updates to `testing/marionette/client/setup.py`, `testing/marionette/harness/setup.py`, and `testing/firefox-ui/harness/setup.py`, which have hard-coded regexes that break after the reformat.

5. Add a set of exclusions to black.yml. These will be deleted in a follow-up bug (1672023).

Nathan Froyd cfb8fb313f Bug 1662251 - stop assigning from NS_Convert* values, mostly; r=sg
This patch was generated by running:

```
perl -p -i \
     -e 's/^(\s+)([a-zA-Z0-9.]+) = NS_ConvertUTF8toUTF16\((.*)\);/\1CopyUTF8toUTF16(\3, \2);/;' \
     -e 's/^(\s+)([a-zA-Z0-9.]+) = NS_ConvertUTF16toUTF8\((.*)\);/\1CopyUTF16toUTF8(\3, \2);/;' \
     $FILE
```

against every .cpp and .h in mozilla-central, and then fixing up the
inevitable errors that happen as a result of matching C++ expressions with
regexes. The errors fell into three categories:

1. Calling the convert functions with `std::string::c_str()`; these were
   changed to simply pass the string instead, relying on implicit conversion
   to `mozilla::Span`.
2. Calling the convert functions with raw pointers, which is not permitted
   with the copy functions; these were changed to invoke `MakeStringSpan` first.
3. Other miscellaneous errors resulting from over-eager regexes and/or the
   replacement not being type-aware. These changes were reverted.

Kris Maglione 0b1a146519 Bug 1596918: Part 4c - Fix callers which depend on document lifecycle changes. r=mccr8
ContentTask tasks have a different lifetime than SpecialPowers tasks, with the
former being tied to the lifetime of a message manager and the latter tied to
the lifetime of a window global. That means that existing ContentTask callers
which expect to be able to register load listeners before the creation of a
window global, or which expect to persist after a page has navigated, won't
work as SpecialPowers tasks.

Since those sorts of tasks are not really resilient in the face of Fission,
they should really be written to work differently, but this patch mostly just
reverts them to using ContentTask for the time being.

Kris Maglione 94e3b0bd8d Bug 1596918: Part 3a - Scripted rewrite of most ContentTask.spawn calls to SpecialPowers.spawn calls. r=mccr8,remote-protocol-reviewers,ato
This is generally pretty straightforward, and rewrites nearly all calls. It
skips the ones that it can detect using frame script globals like
`sendAsyncMessage`, though.

Kris Maglione 356e59c6bc Bug 1596918: Part 4c - Fix callers which depend on document lifecycle changes.

Andrew McCreight d755ee2dc7 Bug 1588618 - Make browser_xhr_onchange_leak.js Fission-compatible. r=smaug
The way this test works is, it loads a page, then it navigates to
another page and exits. The mochitest browser-chrome leak detector
will report a leak if the first page isn't freed by the end of the
test.

To make this Fission-compatible, I first changed the page we navigate
to to be same-origin. This means that we won't tear down the original
process immediately when we navigate, which will break the various
test harness stuff.

Secondly, I enable the dom.ipc.keepProcessesAlive.webIsolated
preference, which means that the content process won't be torn down
immediately. If this pref is not set, then the usual process reuse
ends up destroying the window before the test ends, whether or not it
leaks.

I verified that this test fails when the patch from bug 1336811 is
backed out, both with and without Fission.
