Kirk Steuber d906cf0adb Bug 1420514 - Remove pref app.update.enabled from the update mechanism r=rstrong 
Getting rid of this pref allowed some other code to be removed:
 - Changed nsIUpdateService::stopChecking(duration) to nsIUpdateService::stopCurrentCheck() and got rid of the constants representing durations. The available durations were CURRENT_CHECK, CURRENT_SESSION, and ANY_CHECKS, but only CURRENT_CHECK was ever used.
 - nsIUpdateChecker::stopChecking(CURRENT_SESSION) and nsIUpdateChecker::stopChecking(ANY_CHECKS) were the only mechanisms for setting Checker::_enabled to false, so Checker::_enabled and Checker::enabled were removed. References to Checker::enabled were replaced with checks for nsUpdateService::canCheckForUpdates.
 - In browser/base/content/aboutDialog-appUpdater.js, the updateDisabledAndLocked() function was renamed to updateDisabledByPolicy, since the old name is no longer accurate and the new function name is a better description of the function's actual use.

Brian Grinstead 916ffe84c9 Bug 1473160 - Move non browser window startup and shutdown functionality into a separate JS file;r=Gijs 
These are mac-only functions used to support the dock and application menu for
non browser windows (anything that includes macWindow.inc.xul). Make this more
straightforward by splitting the code out into a new script file that gets loaded
directly by macWindow.inc.xul rather than unconditionally adding the functions
and only calling them when needed.

Marco Bonardo 021fc63b95 Bug 1388123 - Make autocomplete handle Enter on keydown. r=MattN 
Some pages, like the Google login form, submit information on keydown, that
causes us to not autocomplete, because we handle keypress instead.
The patch changes autocomplete to happen on keydown.
Unfortunately formautofill also uses keydown and tries to access popup data too
late, thus it needs some hacks to work properly.
In general the formautofill code has too many indirections due to e10s, and that
makes the fix more fragile than we'd want. Ideally content autocomplete should
have its own codebase, rather than sharing the same controller as chrome code.

Chris Peterson 2ef77b9ac9 Bug 1472618 - Make navigator.platform return "Win32", even on Win64 OS. r=peterv 
navigator.platform returns "Win64" in 64-bit Firefox and IE, but "Win32" in 64-bit Chrome and Edge. "Win32" appears to be the de facto platform value for Windows. This change doesn't hide the OS architecture from web content because navigator.userAgent still mentions "Win64; x64" in 64-bit Firefox, Chrome, Edge, and IE.

Gijs Kruitbosch a68567a1a8 Bug 1473507 - fix crash in nsILoadInfo::GetOriginAttributes when passing no principal to SavePrivacyAwareURI, r=mccr8 
Enforce that callers pass triggering principals through to any persist APIs,
which all delegate to SaveURIInternal.

Also add the missing principal information to the saveURL call in the page
info dialog code, which was triggering crashes in this way.

The containers are given an ARIA role of group and labels are associated using aria-labelledby.
For example, this allows screen reader users to know which permission each control is associated with.

Summary:
This moves the load of favicons into the content process. We use the same logic
for finding favicons (based on waiting until none have shown up for a short
time) but then load the favicon and convert it to a data uri which we then
dispatch to the parent process. Along the way this fixes asssociating the load
with the tab for WebExtension and devtools, fixes CSP usage for the load, fixes
expiry detection of the favicon and stops us from loading the same resource
twice.

This change also merges the prefs browser.chrome.site_icons and
browser.chrome.favicons leaving just the former controlling favicon loading. It
adds the pref browser.chrome.guess_favicon to allow disabling guessing where
a favicon might be located for a site (at <hostname>/favicon.ico). This is
mainly to allow disabling this in tests where those additional yet automatic
requests are uninteresting for the test.

There are multiple clean-ups that can follow this but this is a first step along
that path.

J. Ryan Stinnett 84c4eba82e Bug 1365626 - Remove View MathML Source feature. r=mconley 
The in-tree version of View MathML Source appears to have low usage, so it seems
reasonable to remove.  A similar feature is available as an add-on.

In recent months, the in-tree version has actually been broken, which wasn't
noticed for quite a while.  This adds further evidence for removal given the
lack of maintenance and interest in this feature.

In practice this is an easy fix, just clear the icon when the page first changes
to a new URL. In practice that breaks our hack for setting an early favicon for

This allows keyboard shortcuts containing both "Ctrl" and "Alt" in the
manifest of webextensions (in the "commands" -> "suggested_key" key),
rather than just one of these modifiers. The equivalent combinations
on MacOS (any two of "Command", "Alt" and "MacCtrl") are also allowed.

Non-sensical combinations (such as "Ctrl+Command" or "Ctrl+Ctrl") are
forbidden.

This patch adds the infrastructure to move Activity Stream (about:newtab, about:home,
and about:welcome) into its own special content process - the privileged content
process. This feature of running Activity Stream in the privileged content process

preference.) We can deal with other about: pages in a follow-up.

Michael Kelly 80e7768083 Bug 1470587: Uninitialize reporter created during test. r=mossop 
At some point, the matching call to reporter.uninit got removed from this test.
The result is that the reporter still exists and is still collecting errors
during the rest of the tasks in the file. In most tasks, this isn't an issue
since we use reporter.handleMessage to test message handling at a per-reporter
level.

But the telemetry measures are shared between multiple reporters, thus they are
susceptible to interference from other running reporter instances.

The error that is being logged when this test fails is from the test add-on
created in testAddonIDMangle. My best guess is that the error logged by the
add-on is being processed during an idle moment in another task, since we
schedule processing to be delayed until the browser is idle. It seems this
scheduling is pretty consistent on certain Linux platforms.
