for tabbing with search fields on toolbars into code that's more restrictive
to the search bar only being on a toolbar so it works more normally when

Landing changes by Bruce Davidson <Bruce.Davidson@iplbath.com> to get Cut/Copy/Paste to work for bookmarks (bug 155484), and to fix the pasteboard string identifiers in the code (bug 287118). I made three changes to the patch:

Change CHBrowserView to no longer accept bookmark types (kCaminoBookmarkListPBoardType, kWebURLsWithTitlesPboardType), because gecko can't handle them. Instead, a parent view will now handle the drop (and correctly load tabs etc).
NSPastboard+Utils
-containsURLData changed to test for a scheme on the NSURL. Otherwise, any random text would be accepted as url data.
BookmarkViewController:
-pasteBookmarks:intoFolder:index:copying fixed to keep an array of newly created bookmark items when copying, so we can correctly reveal those new items.

Improved bookmarks menu item enabling. Rather than try to recreate the logic for automatic item enabling (which is non-trivial), use a dummy, auto-enabling bookmarks menu, loaded from the nib, to get correct enable states and item titles. This really fixes bug 287339.

Fix bug 285901: when adding a bookmark, be sure to use what the user entered. When bookmarking tabs, take the suggested title from the frontmost tab, not the first one, and when tabs are open but you just want to bookmark the current page, and it's not the first tab, make sure we bookmark the correct tab.

Fix bug 285339 (progressive slowdown with more tabs) by releasing all the nib members of the BookmarksEditing nib when closing tabs.
Delay loading the bookmarks editing nib until bookmarks are shown, making new tab creation faster.
When creating a bookmark when bookmarks are showing, use the previous page as the bookmark by looking back in session history.
Save the state of the history folders for a given bookmarks view.
Fix bug 247543 (remember last used Add Bookmark folder across windows).
Change [BookmarkItem description] to [BookmarkItem itemDescription] because -description should be reserved.
When creating a new folder deep in bookmarks, expand all parent folders so that the new folder is visible.
Rename various "add bookmark" methods so that they are all consistent (allowing us to write to FirstResponder when appropriate).

Fix bug 279844: tabs loaded in the background don't scroll correctly to relative anchors. Fix by making sure that background tabs are sized correctly on creation and URL load, so that a later resize on show doesn't mess with the scroll position. r=pinkeron.

Fix bug 157995: tab title stays at "Loading..." sometimes. This happens when we don't get a setTitle: callback from gecko (e.g. for an FTP download), so always set the tab title back to the page title (or URL) in onLoadingComplete. r=pinkerton.

Fix bug 279473: prefs were not getting saved if you quit with the prefs window open.
...
Fix [MVPreferencesController sharedInstance] to really return a shared instance for which a ref is kept around, and remove the mPreferencesController member from MainController.
Add [MVPreferencesController clearSharedInstance] so that we can tear down the window on quit, allowing MVPreferencesController to release its embedding reference, so that we can proceed through xpcom shutdown, and thence save the prefs file.
Also cleaned up member naming in MVPreferencesController.

Fix bug 278947 - bookmarks view goes blank when inline editing because we erroneously pick up the typing as quicksearch.

Clean up the serialization of multiple dragged bookmark items by using UUIDs rather than object addresses, and moving into methods on the BookmarksManager, rather than an NSArray category.
Add methods to trawl the bookmarks tree for an item with the given UUID.
Improve the behavior and performance of a multiple bookmark drop by making sure things insert in the correct order, and by disabling outliner updates until you've inserted everything.
Make some notification name strings 'const'.
Fix build warnings, and remove a debugging printf.

Fix a crash on quit that happened if you had visited the Web Features pref panel. It occurred because we assumed that -dealloc would be called before XPXCOM shutdown, which is not true of autoreleased objects. This is the same fix for the same bug that smfr committed yesterday in the privacy pref pane code. Also, add licenses to two files missing them.

Tidy up some of the preferences nib files, to try to make the layout more similar between panels (more work needed here). Add support for the delete key in the cookie editing sheets. Ensure that the checkboxes in the security panel are update when the window is activated, because they might have been changed by the security warning sheets.

Camino history rewrite, and associated changes:
...
1. Move bookmarks and history UI into their own nib file, BookmarksEditing.nib
2. Rewrite history in camino to no longer use RDF, but a simple new API on top of the mork DB, implemented in nsSimpleGlobalHistory, that lets you iterate history items. All the tree building is now done in Cocoa (bug 276733), which makes it much faster.
3. Implement quicksearch for bookmarks and history, removing the 'results' panel from the UI and just showing the results inline (bug 174899, bug 276734).
4. Sundry code cleanup and warning fixes.

Fix bug 243411 - painting problems on bookmarks toolbar when moving items around, because we would only call [setNeedsDisplay] when changing the bar height.
...
Also clarified added a [bookmarkChanged:] method to BookmarkButton, rather than overloading [setBookmarkItem:]. This allows us to be more selective about reflowing the bookmarks toolbar (i.e. not when just an icon changes).
