We use license checking against cryptographic certificate, this is done in several places. In addition the software attempts to contact the servers to check for update and verify license status
How is the accused project designed to circumvent your technological protection measures?
This project provides a script and instructions to patch the verification code, also a pre patch program is provided. The install script also adds several parallels domains in the hosts.deny file.
