GitHub

Please describe the nature of your copyright ownership or authorization to act on the owner's behalf.

I am copyrgight holder

Please provide a detailed description of the original copyrighted work that has allegedly been infringed. If possible, include a URL to where it is posted online.

chatgpt.js lib @ github.com/chatgptjs/chatgpt.js

What files should be taken down? Please provide URLs for each file, or if the entire repository, the repositorys URL.

https://github.com/mefengl/chatgpt-playground

Do you claim to have any technological measures in place to control access to your copyrighted content? Please see our Complaints about Anti-Circumvention Technology if you are unsure.

No

Have you searched for any forks of the allegedly infringing files or repositories? Each fork is a distinct repository and must be identified separately if you believe it is infringing and wish to have it taken down.

No

Is the work licensed under an open source license?

Yes

Which license?

MIT

How do you believe the license is being violated?

This repo https://github.com/mefengl/chatgpt-playground relies on a library defined in https://github.com/mefengl/chatgpt-playground/blob/main/packages/chatgpt/src/index.ts which is open source but under MIT license so requires proper attribution. In that file itself, he has done as I instructed:

/*

  • The code in this function was adapted from the chatgptjs/chatgpt.js library,
  • authored by [private] and [private]
  • (https://chatgptjs.org) and licensed under the MIT License. */

...however he refuses to add it to his LICENSE.md which falsely claims he is the sole copyright holder of this repo that imports chatgpt.js throughout each constituent script (each of which syncs to [private], where he outrights omit any attribution as required by MIT, but I will submit notices there separately)

In summary, MIT license requires the "above notice" of original work (Copyright (c) [private] etc.) which he refuses to include in his LICENSE.md

What changes can be made to bring the project into compliance with the license? For example, adding attribution, adding a license, making the repository private.

Adding my name to his license, but preferably, remove repo from public view

What would be the best solution for the alleged infringement?

Reported content must be removed

Do you have the alleged infringers contact information? If so, please provide it.
