2.2 KiB
Welcome
This project has been set up to publicly release the code for PowerBI VSTS extensions which enable API Access to PowerBI functionality through the VSTS GUI. My intension in opening the source to this project is twofold. Firstly, this code does not have a dedicated MS team attached, and so this ensures ongoing access and maintainability since it allows you to build the extension for yourself. Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, VSTS is not the only build and release platform out there. Much of this code could be used to build plugins for other platforms, and ideally I'd like to see a Jenkins plugin here in the repo alongside the VSTS one so that more of our customers can use this functionality.
The actual build and deployment of this code into the marketplace will happen separately to this repo since we are unable to use any Microsoft IP here such as logos. The code will remain unchanged though, we'll just add in the logos and build.
Contributing
This project welcomes contributions and suggestions. Most contributions require you to agree to a Contributor License Agreement (CLA) declaring that you have the right to, and actually do, grant us the rights to use your contribution. For details, visit https://cla.microsoft.com.
When you submit a pull request, a CLA-bot will automatically determine whether you need to provide a CLA and decorate the PR appropriately (e.g., label, comment). Simply follow the instructions provided by the bot. You will only need to do this once across all repos using our CLA.
This project has adopted the Microsoft Open Source Code of Conduct. For more information see the Code of Conduct FAQ or contact opencode@microsoft.com with any additional questions or comments.

Roadmap
The project will follow the Power BI API and enable relevant calls. Ideas and discussion are welcome and we'll implement anything sensible. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/
