Title Quantum computing fundamentals
Description Have you heard the buzz about Quantum and want to learn what its all about? If so, come to this hands-on workshop to learn about the core principals of quantum computing. Explore the current applications across different areas such as medicine, mechanics, mixed reality, physics and so much more. While quantum computers arent commercially available yet, cloud providers like Azure have services which allow users to leverage quantum resources. We have yet to scratch the surface on all the applications of quantum computing, which means it is an opportune time to become familiar with quantum now and consider how to apply it in your own organization. During the workshop, we will learn Q#, the quantum programming language designed by Microsoft. This is completely free and open source and is included as part of the Quantum Development Kit (QDK). With the QDK, explore Q# libraries, create applications and run them on a simulator. This is an introductory workshop, so you do not need any prior experience working with Quantum or Q#. Just bring your laptop, and an open mind to brainstorm about future quantum applications.
