Uwe Kleine-König 543c5040f5 ARM: make arrays containing machine compatible strings const
The definition

	static const char *axxia_dt_match[] __initconst = {
		...

defines a changable array of constant strings. That is you must not do:

	*axxia_dt_match[0] = 'k';

but

	axxia_dt_match[0] = "different string";

is fine. So the annotation __initconst is wrong and yields a compiler
error when other really const variables are added with __initconst.

As the struct machine_desc member dt_compat is declared as

	const char *const *dt_compat;

making the arrays const is the better alternative over changing all
annotations to __initdata.

   preparing at91 platforms for multiplatform and cleaning up quite a
   bit in the process.
 - Removal of CSR's "Marco" SoC platform that never made it out to the
   market. We love seeing these since it means the vendor published
   support before product was out, which is exactly what we want!
 
 New platforms this release are:

Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz 712eddf702 cpuidle: exynos: add coupled cpuidle support for exynos4210
The following patch adds coupled cpuidle support for Exynos4210 to
an existing cpuidle-exynos driver.  As a result it enables AFTR mode
to be used by default on Exynos4210 without the need to hot unplug
CPU1 first.

The patch is heavily based on earlier cpuidle-exynos4210 driver from
Daniel Lezcano:

Changes from Daniel's code include:
- porting code to current kernels
- fixing it to work on my setup (by using S5P_INFORM register
  instead of S5P_VA_SYSRAM one on Revison 1.1 and retrying poking
  CPU1 out of the BOOT ROM if necessary)
- fixing rare lockup caused by waiting for CPU1 to get stuck in
  the BOOT ROM (CPU hotplug code in arch/arm/mach-exynos/platsmp.c
  doesn't require this and works fine)
- moving Exynos specific code to arch/arm/mach-exynos/pm.c
- using cpu_boot_reg_base() helper instead of BOOT_VECTOR macro
- using exynos_cpu_*() helpers instead of accessing registers
  directly
- using arch_send_wakeup_ipi_mask() instead of dsb_sev()
  (this matches CPU hotplug code in arch/arm/mach-exynos/platsmp.c)
- integrating separate exynos4210-cpuidle driver into existing
  exynos-cpuidle one

Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz 865e8b76a0 ARM: EXYNOS: apply S5P_CENTRAL_SEQ_OPTION fix only when necessary
Commit c2dd114d24 ("ARM: EXYNOS: fix register setup for AFTR mode
code") added S5P_CENTRAL_SEQ_OPTION register setup fix for all
Exynos SoCs to AFTR mode code-path.  It turned out that for coupled
cpuidle AFTR mode on Exynos4210 (added by the next patch) applying
this fix causes lockup so enable it in the AFTR mode code-path only
on SoCs that require it (in the suspend code-path it can be always
applied like it was before commit c2dd114d24 ("ARM: EXYNOS: fix
register setup for AFTR mode code")

Tomasz Figa 5445b640f3 ARM: 8263/1: EXYNOS: Add .write_sec outer cache callback for L2C-310
Exynos4 SoCs equipped with an L2C-310 cache controller and running under
secure firmware require certain registers of aforementioned IP to be
accessed only from secure mode. This means that SMC calls are required
for certain register writes. To handle this, an implementation of
.write_sec and .configure callbacks is provided by this patch.

After commit b2b49ccbdd (PM: Kconfig: Set PM_RUNTIME if PM_SLEEP is
selected) PM_RUNTIME is always set if PM is set, so Kconfig options
depending on CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME may now be changed to depend on
CONFIG_PM.

Replace PM_RUNTIME with PM in Kconfig dependencies throughout the

Krzysztof Kozlowski b588aaec6d ARM: EXYNOS: SWRESET is needed to boot secondary CPU on exynos3250
Without software reset the secondary CPU does not power up and
exynos_boot_secondary() ends with pen_release equal to 1. This can be
observed in dmesg:
	CPU1: failed to come online
	Brought up 1 CPUs
	SMP: Total of 1 processors activated.
	CPU: All CPU(s) started in SVC mode.

When booting the secondary CPU on Exynos3250 execute also software
reset for core 1.

by moving the relevant code from exynos_pm_suspend() (used only by

AFTR).  Without this setup AFTR mode doesn't show any benefit over
WFI one (at least on Exynos4412 SoC).  When this setup is applied
AFTR mode reduces power consumption by ~12% (as measured on Trats2
board).

This change is a preparation for adding secure firmware support to
EXYNOS cpuidle driver.

mode under a secure firmware. This means that certain operations need to
be handled in special way, with firmware assistance. System-wide
suspend/resume is an example of such operations.

leveraging recently introduced suspend and resume firmware operations
and modifying existing suspend/resume paths to account for presence of
secure firmware.

Krzysztof Kozlowski 13cfa6c4f7 ARM: EXYNOS: Fix CPU idle clock down after CPU off
On Exynos4 USE_DELAYED_RESET_ASSERTION must be set in
ARM_COREx_OPTION register during CPU power down. This is the proper way
of powering down CPU on Exynos4.

Additionally on Exynos4212 without this the CPU clock down feature won't
work after powering down some CPU and the online CPUs will work at full
frequency chosen by CPUfreq governor.

Cleanup a little the SMP/hotplug code for Exynos by:
1. Moving completely all functions from hotplug.c into the platsmp.c;
2. Deleting the hotplug.c file.

After recent cleanups (e.g. 75ad2ab28f "ARM: EXYNOS: use
v7_exit_coherency_flush macro for cache disabling") there was only CPU
power down related code in hotplug.c file.

Rationale behind the code movement and benefits:
1. The file platsmp.c is the only user of code located in hotplug.c.
   Keeping code in hotplug.c required declaring exynos_cpu_die() in common.h.
   Such dependencies and mentioned exynos_cpu_die() declaration can be
   removed.
2. In next patches exynos_set_delayed_reset_assertion() will be
   introduced. This function will be called by:
    - cpu_leave_power (hotplug.c),
    - platform_do_lowpower (hotplug.c),
    - exynos_boot_secondary (platsmp.c).

Merging hotplug.c into platsmp.c leads to simpler and cleaner code with
less dependencies between files.

The commit only moves code around with one additional observable change:
the hotplug.c was compiled with custom CFLAGS (-march=armv7-a). These
CFLAGS are not necessary any more.

Linus Torvalds b528392669 ACPI and power management updates for 3.18-rc1
- Rework the handling of wakeup IRQs by the IRQ core such that
    all of them will be switched over to "wakeup" mode in
    suspend_device_irqs() and in that mode the first interrupt
    will abort system suspend in progress or wake up the system

Mark Rutland 2c32c65e37 ARM: 8129/1: errata: work around Cortex-A15 erratum 830321 using dummy strex
On revisions of Cortex-A15 prior to r3p3, a CLREX instruction at PL1 may
falsely trigger a watchpoint exception, leading to potential data aborts
during exception return and/or livelock.

This patch resolves the issue in the following ways:

  - Replacing our uses of CLREX with a dummy STREX sequence instead (as
    we did for v6 CPUs).

  - Removing the clrex code from v7_exit_coherency_flush and derivatives,
    since this only exists as a minor performance improvement when
    non-cached exclusives are in use (Linux doesn't use these).

Benchmarking on a variety of ARM cores revealed no measurable
performance difference with this change applied, so the change is
performed unconditionally and no new Kconfig entry is added.

Due to recent consolidation of Exynos suspend and cpuidle code, some
parts of suspend and resume sequences are executed two times, once from
exynos_pm_syscore_ops and then from exynos_cpu_pm_notifier() and thus it
breaks suspend, at least on Exynos4-based boards. In addition, simple
core power down from a cpuidle driver could, in case of CPU 0 could
result in calling functions that are specific to suspend and deeper idle
states.

This patch fixes the issue by moving those operations outside the CPU PM
notifier into suspend and AFTR code paths. This leads to a bit of code
duplication, but allows additional code simplification, so in the end
more code is removed than added.

Laura Abbott 5a12a597a8 arm: Add devicetree fixup machine function
Commit 1c2f87c225
(ARM: 8025/1: Get rid of meminfo) dropped the upper bound on
the number of memory banks that can be added as there was no
technical need in the kernel. It turns out though, some bootloaders
(specifically the arndale-octa exynos boards) may pass invalid memory
information and rely on the kernel to not parse this data. This is a
bug in the bootloader but we still need to work around this.
Work around this by introducing a dt_fixup function. This function
gets called before the flattened devicetree is scanned for memory
and the like. In this fixup function for exynos, limit the maximum
number of memory regions in the devicetree.

Pankaj Dubey 2e94ac4289 ARM: EXYNOS: Refactored code for using PMU address via DT
Under "arm/mach-exynos" many files are using PMU register offsets.
Since we have added support for accessing PMU base address via DT,
now we can remove PMU mapping from exynosX_iodesc. Let's convert
all these access using iomapped address.
This will help us in removing static mapping of PMU base address
as well as help in reducing dependency over machine header files.
Thus helping for migration of PMU implementation from machine to
driver folder which can be reused for ARM64 based SoC.

Also as we have removed static mappings from "regs-pmu.h" it does
not need map.h anymore. But "platsmp.c" needed this and till now it
got included indirectly. So lets move header inclusion of
"mach/map.h" from "regs-pmu.h" to "platsmp.c".

Abhilash Kesavan 20fe6f98fa ARM: EXYNOS: Support cluster power off on exynos5420/5800
Turning off a cluster when all 4 cores of the cluster are powered off
saves power significantly. Powering off the A15 L2 alone gives around
100mW in savings. Add support for powering off the A15/A7 clusters on
exynos5420/5800.

The patch enables specific register bits which ensure that:
   - cluster L2 will be turned on before the first man is powered up.
   - last man will be turned off before the cluster L2 is turned off.
   - core is powered down before powering it up.

Remove the exynos_cluster_power_control function completely as we can
rely on the above mentioned bits rather than polling the cluster power
status register.

Tomasz Figa 9637f30e6b ARM: EXYNOS: Fix core ID used by platsmp and hotplug code
When CPU topology is specified in device tree, cpu_logical_map() does
not return core ID anymore, but rather full MPIDR value. This breaks
existing calculation of PMU register offsets on Exynos SoCs.

This patch fixes the problem by adjusting the code to use only core ID
bits of the value returned by cpu_logical_map() to allow CPU topology to
be specified in device tree on Exynos SoCs.

Russell King af040ffc9b ARM: make it easier to check the CPU part number correctly
Ensure that platform maintainers check the CPU part number in the right
manner: the CPU part number is meaningless without also checking the
CPU implement(e|o)r (choose your preferred spelling!)  Provide an
interface which returns both the implementer and part number together,
and update the definitions to include the implementer.

Mark the old function as being deprecated... indeed, using the old
function with the definitions will now always evaluate as false, so
people must update their un-merged code to the new function.  While
this could be avoided by adding new definitions, we'd also have to
create new names for them which would be awkward.

The Chromebook firmware doesn't enable the CCI for the boot cpu, and
arguably it shouldn't have to either. Let's have the kernel handle the

by using the MCPM loopback.

This allows to boot all 8 cores on exynos5420-peach-pit,
exynos5800-peach-pi and ARM Chromebook 2.

Tomasz Figa bed7118988 ARM: EXYNOS: Register cpuidle device only on exynos4210 and 5250
Currently, the exynos cpuidle driver works correctly only on exynos4210
and 5250. Trying to use it with just one CPU online on any other exynos
SoCs will lead to system failure, due to unsupported AFTR mode on other
SoCs. This patch fixes the problem by registering the driver only on
supported SoCs and letting others simply use default WFI mode until
support for them is added.

Prathyush K c760569d0e ARM: EXYNOS: Add support for clock handling in power domain
While powering on/off a local powerdomain in exynos5 chipsets, the
input clocks to each device gets modified. This behaviour is based
on the SYSCLK_SYS_PWR_REG registers.
E.g. SYSCLK_MFC_SYS_PWR_REG = 0x0, the parent of input clock to MFC
                             (aclk333) gets modified to oscclk
                            = 0x1, no change in clocks.
The recommended value of SYSCLK_SYS_PWR_REG before power gating any
domain is 0x0. So we must also restore the clocks while powering on
a domain everytime.

This patch adds the framework for getting the required mux and parent
clocks through a power domain device node. With this patch, while
powering off a domain, parent is set to oscclk and while powering back
on, its re-set to the correct parent which is as per the recommended
pd on/off sequence.

Sachin Kamat 35e75645f1 ARM: EXYNOS: Update secondary boot addr for secure mode

additional offset for every CPU, with Exynos4412 being the only
exception.

Doug Anderson 7cbcb9d46f ARM: EXYNOS: Don't rely on firmware's secondary_cpu_start for mcpm
On exynos mcpm systems the firmware is hardcoded to jump to an address
in SRAM (0x02073000) when secondary CPUs come up.  By default the
firmware puts a bunch of code at that location.  That code expects the
kernel to fill in a few slots with addresses that it uses to jump back
to the kernel's entry point for secondary CPUs.

Originally (on prerelease hardware) this firmware code contained a
bunch of workarounds to deal with boot ROM bugs.  However on all
shipped hardware we simply use this code to redirect to a kernel
function for bringing up the CPUs.

Let's stop relying on the code provided by the bootloader and just
plumb in our own (simple) code jump to the kernel.  This has the nice
benefit of fixing problems due to the fact that older bootloaders
(like the one shipped on the Samsung Chromebook 2) might have put
slightly different code into this location.

Once suspend/resume is implemented for systems using exynos-mcpm we'll
need to make sure we reinstall our fixed up code after resume.  ...but
that's not anything new since IRAM (and thus the address of the
mcpm_entry_point) is lost across suspend/resume anyway.
