Yishai Hadas 3f32dc0f46 IB/core: Drop WARN_ON() from ib_umem_find_best_pgsz()
The WARN_ON() issued as part of ib_umem_find_best_pgsz() blocked cases
when only page sizes larger than PAGE_SIZE were set, drop it to enable
those cases.

In addition, there is no need to have a specific check for zero
pgsz_bitmap, the function will do its job and return 0 at the end if
nothing match will be found.

Jason Gunthorpe e6fb246cca RDMA/mlx5: Consolidate MR destruction to mlx5_ib_dereg_mr()
Now that the SRCU stuff has been removed the entire MR destroy logic can
be made a lot simpler. Currently there are many different ways to destroy a
MR and it makes it really hard to do this task correctly. Route all
destruction through mlx5_ib_dereg_mr() and make it work for all
situations.

Since it turns out all the different MR types do basically the same thing
this removes a lot of knowledge of MR internals from ODP and leaves ODP
just exporting an operation to clean up children.

This fixes a few weird corner cases bugs and firmly uses the correct
ordering of the MR destruction:
 - Stop parallel access to the mkey via the ODP xarray
 - Stop DMA
 - Release the umem
 - Clean up ODP children
 - Free/Recycle the MR

Jason Gunthorpe f18ec42231 RDMA/mlx5: Use a union inside mlx5_ib_mr
The struct mlx5_ib_mr can be used for three different things, but only one
at a time:

 - In the user MR cache
 - As a kernel MR
 - As a user MR

Overlay the three things into a single union with the following rules:

 - If the mr is found on the cache_ent->head list then it is a cache MR
   and umem == NULL. The entire union is zero after the MR is removed from
   the cache.

 - If umem != NULL or type == IB_MR_TYPE_USER then it is a user MR.

 - If umem == NULL then it is a kernel MR

This reduces the size of struct mlx5_ib_mr to 552 bytes from 702.

The only place the three flows overlap in the code is during dereg, so add
a few extra checks along there.

Jason Gunthorpe a639e66703 RDMA/mlx5: Zero out ODP related items in the mlx5_ib_mr
All of the ODP code assumes when it calls mlx5_mr_cache_alloc() the ODP
related fields are zero'd. This is true if the MR was just allocated, but
if the MR is recycled through the cache then the values are never zero'd.

This causes a bug in the odp_stats, they don't reset when the MR is
reallocated, also is_odp_implicit is never 0'd.

So we can use memset on a block of the mlx5_ib_mr reorganize the structure
to put all the data that can be zero'd by the cache at the end.

It is organized as an anonymous struct because the next patch will make
this a union.

Delete the unused smr_info. Don't set the kernel only desc_size on the
user path. No longer any need to zero mr->parent before freeing it, the
memset() will get it now.

Nicolas Morey-Chaisemartin 2b5715fc17 RDMA/srp: Fix support for unpopulated and unbalanced NUMA nodes
The current code computes a number of channels per SRP target and spreads
them equally across all online NUMA nodes. Each channel is then assigned
a CPU within this node.

In the case of unbalanced, or even unpopulated nodes, some channels do not
get a CPU associated and thus do not get connected. This causes the SRP
connection to fail.

This patch solves the issue by rewriting channel computation and
allocation:

- Drop channel to node/CPU association as it had no real effect on
  locality but added unnecessary complexity.

- Tweak the number of channels allocated to reduce CPU contention when
  possible:
  - Up to one channel per CPU (instead of up to 4 by node)

Aharon Landau 2fe8d4b878 RDMA/mlx5: Fail QP creation if the device can not support the CQE TS
In ConnectX6Dx device, HW can work in real time timestamp mode according
to the device capabilities per RQ/SQ/QP.

When the flag IB_UVERBS_CQ_FLAGS_TIMESTAMP_COMPLETION is set, the user
expect to get TS on the CQEs in free running format, so we need to fail
the QP creation if the current mode of the device doesn't support it.

It is caused by the not-freed kobject of rtrs_srv_sess. The kobject
embedded in rtrs_srv_sess has ref-counter 2 after calling
process_info_req(). Therefore it must call kobject_put twice. Currently
it calls kobject_put only once at rtrs_srv_destroy_sess_files because
kobject_del removes the state_in_sysfs flag and then kobject_put in
free_sess() is not called.

This patch moves kobject_del() into free_sess() so that the kobject of
rtrs_srv_sess can be freed. And also this patch adds the missing call of
sysfs_remove_group() to clean-up the sysfs directory.

Md Haris Iqbal 03e9b33a0f RDMA/rtrs: Only allow addition of path to an already established session
While adding a path from the client side to an already established
session, it was possible to provide the destination IP to a different
server. This is dangerous.

This commit adds an extra member to the rtrs_msg_conn_req structure, named
first_conn; which is supposed to notify if the connection request is the
first for that session or not.

On the server side, if a session does not exist but the first_conn
received inside the rtrs_msg_conn_req structure is 1, the connection
request is failed. This signifies that the connection request is for an
already existing session, and since the server did not find one, it is an
wrong connection request.

Avihai Horon fe454dc31e RDMA/ucma: Fix use-after-free bug in ucma_create_uevent
ucma_process_join() allocates struct ucma_multicast mc and frees it if an
error occurs during its run. Specifically, if an error occurs in
copy_to_user(), a use-after-free might happen in the following scenario:

1. mc struct is allocated.
2. rdma_join_multicast() is called and succeeds. During its run,
   cma_iboe_join_multicast() enqueues a work that will later use the
   aforementioned mc struct.
3. copy_to_user() is called and fails.
4. mc struct is deallocated.
5. The work that was enqueued by cma_iboe_join_multicast() is run and
   calls ucma_create_uevent() which tries to access mc struct (which is
   freed by now).

Fix this bug by cancelling the work enqueued by cma_iboe_join_multicast().
Since cma_work_handler() frees struct cma_work, we don't use it in
cma_iboe_join_multicast() so we can safely cancel the work later.

The following syzkaller report revealed it:

Christoph Lameter 633d610212 RDMA/ipoib: Remove racy Subnet Manager sendonly join checks
When a system receives a REREG event from the SM, then the SM information
in the kernel is marked as invalid and a request is sent to the SM to
update the information. The SM information is invalid in that time period.

However, receiving a REREG also occurs simultaneously in user space
applications that are now trying to rejoin the multicast groups. Some of
those may be sendonly multicast groups which are then failing.

If the SM information is invalid then ib_sa_sendonly_fullmem_support()
returns false. That is wrong because it just means that we do not know yet
if the potentially new SM supports sendonly joins.

Sendonly join was introduced in 2015 and all the Subnet managers have
supported it ever since. So there is no point in checking if a subnet
manager supports it.

Should an old opensm get a request for a sendonly join then the request
will fail. The code that is removed here accomodated that situation and
fell back to a full join.

Falling back to a full join is problematic in itself. The reason to use
the sendonly join was to reduce the traffic on the Infiniband fabric
otherwise one could have just stayed with the regular join. So this patch
may cause users of very old opensms to discover that lots of traffic
needlessly crosses their IB fabrics.

Sebastian Andrzej Siewior a14e3caaaa RDMA/qedr: Remove in_irq() usage from debug output
qedr_gsi_post_send() has a debug output which prints the return value of
in_irq() and irqs_disabled().

The result of the in_irq(), even if invoked from an interrupt handler, is
subject to change depending on the `threadirqs' command line switch. The
result of irqs_disabled() is always be 1 because the function acquires
spinlock_t with spin_lock_irqsave().

Remove in_irq() and irqs_disabled() from the debug output because it

Yishai Hadas db72438c93 RDMA/mlx5: Cleanup the synchronize_srcu() from the ODP flow
Cleanup the synchronize_srcu() from the ODP flow as it was found to be a
very heavy time consumer as part of dereg_mr.

For example de-registration of 10000 ODP MRs each with size of 2M hugepage
took 19.6 sec comparing de-registration of same number of non ODP MRs that
took 172 ms.

The new locking scheme uses the wait_event() mechanism which follows the
use count of the MR instead of using synchronize_srcu().

By that change, the time required for the above test took 95 ms which is
even better than the non ODP flow.

Once fully dropped the srcu usage, had to come with a lock to protect the
XA access.

As part of using the above mechanism we could also clean the
num_deferred_work stuff and follow the use count instead.

Lang Cheng 86f767e6fc RDMA/hns: Replace wmb&__raw_writeq with writeq
Currently, the driver updates doorbell looks like this:

post()
{
	wqe.field = 0x111;
	wmb();
	update_wq_db();
}

update_wq_db()
{
	db.field = 0x222;
	__raw_writeq(db, db_reg);
}

writeq() is a better choice than __raw_writeq() because it calls dma_wmb()
to barrier in ARM64, and dma_wmb() is better than wmb() for ROCEE device.

This patch removes all wmb() before updating doorbell of SQ/RQ/CQ/SRQ by
replacing __raw_writeq() with writeq() to improve performence. The new
process looks like this:

post()
{
	wqe.field = 0x111;

}

Wenpeng Liang 2e07a3d945 RDMA/hns: Refactor hns_roce_v2_post_srq_recv()
The SRQ in the hns driver consists of the following four parts:

* wqe buf: the buffer to store WQE.

* wqe_idx buf: the cqe of SRQ may be not generated in the order of wqe, so
  the wqe_idx corresponding to the idle WQE needs to be pushed into the
  index queue which is a FIFO, then it instructs the hardware to obtain
  the corresponding WQE.

* bitmap: bitmap is used to generate and release wqe_idx. When the user
  has a new WR, the driver finds the idx of the idle wqe in bitmap. When
  the CQE of wqe is generated, the driver will release the idx.

* wr_id buf: wr_id buf is used to store the user's wr_id, then return it
  to the user when poll_cq verb is invoked.

The process of post SRQ recv is refactored to make preceding code clearer.

Lang Cheng 9dd052474a RDMA/hns: Allocate one more recv SGE for HIP08
The RQ/SRQ of HIP08 needs one special sge to stop receive reliably. So the
driver needs to allocate at least one SGE when creating RQ/SRQ and ensure
that at least one SGE is filled with the special value during post_recv.

Besides, the kernel driver should only do this for kernel ULP. For
userspace ULP, the userspace driver will allocate the reserved SGE in
buffer, and the kernel driver just needs to pin the corresponding size of
memory based on the userspace driver's requirements.

for all but the last QP in the list and passes the SKB and its clones to

Currently mlx5 driver caches port GID table length for 2 ports. It is
also cached by IB core as port immutable data.

When mlx5 representor ports are present, which are usually more than 2,
invalid access to port_caps array can happen while validating the GID

To avoid this, take help of the IB cores port immutable data by exposing
an API to read the port immutable fields.

Remove mlx5 driver's internal cache, thereby reduce code and data.

Parav Pandit 2019d70e91 IB/mlx5: Avoid calling query device for reading pkey table length
Pkey table length for all the ports of the device is the same. Currently
get_ports_cap() reads and stores it for each port by querying the device
which reads more than just pkey table length.

For representor device ports which can be in range of hundreds, it queries
is for each such port and end up returning same value for all the ports.

When in representor mode, modify QP accesses pkey port caps for a port
index that can be outside of the port_caps table.

Hence, simplify the logic to query the max pkey table length only once
during device initialization sequence.

Bob Pearson eae5f0642e RDMA/rxe: Remove unneeded pool->state
rxe_pool.c uses the field pool->state to mark a pool as invalid when it is
shut down and checks it in several pool APIs to verify that the pool has
not been shut down. This is unneeded because the pools are not marked
invalid unless the entire driver is being removed at which point no
functional APIs should or could be executing. This patch removes this
field and associated code.

Bob Pearson 6cde3e8ec1 RDMA/rxe: Remove references to ib_device and pool
rxe_pool.c takes references to the pool and ib_device structs for each
object allocated and also keeps an atomic num_elem count in each
pool. This is more work than is needed. Pool allocation is only called
from verbs APIs which already have references to ib_device and pools are
only diasbled when the driver is removed so no protection of the pool
addresses are needed. The elem count is used to warn if elements are still
present in a pool when it is cleaned up which is useful.

This patch eliminates the references to the ib_device and pool structs.

Bob Pearson 4276fd0ddd RDMA/rxe: Remove RXE_POOL_ATOMIC
rxe_alloc() used the RXE_POOL_ATOMIC flag in rxe_type_info to select
GFP_ATOMIC in calls to kzalloc(). This was intended to handle cases where
an object could be created in interrupt context. This no longer occurs
since allocating those objects has moved into the core so this flag is not
necessary. An incorrect use of this flag was still present for rxe_mc_elem
objects and is removed.

Bob Pearson c4369575b2 RDMA/rxe: Fix bug in rxe_alloc()
A recent patch which added an 'unlocked' version of rxe_alloc introduced a
bug causing kzalloc(..., GFP_KERNEL) to be called while holding a spin
lock. This patch corrects that error.

rxe_alloc_nl() should always be called while holding the pool->pool_lock
so the 2nd argument to kzalloc there should be GFP_ATOMIC.

rxe_alloc() prior to the change only locked the code around checking that
pool->state is RXE_POOL_STATE_VALID to avoid races between working threads
and a thread shutting down the rxe driver. This patch reverts rxe_alloc()
to this behavior so the lock is not held when kzalloc() is called.

Jianxin Xiong 368c0159d4 RDMA/umem: Support importing dma-buf as user memory region
Dma-buf is a standard cross-driver buffer sharing mechanism that can be
used to support peer-to-peer access from RDMA devices.

Device memory exported via dma-buf is associated with a file descriptor.
This is passed to the user space as a property associated with the buffer
allocation. When the buffer is registered as a memory region, the file
descriptor is passed to the RDMA driver along with other parameters.

Implement the common code for importing dma-buf object and mapping dma-buf
pages.

Martin Wilck f1b0a8ea9f Revert "RDMA/rxe: Remove VLAN code leftovers from RXE"
This reverts commit b2d2440430.

It's true that creating rxe on top of 802.1q interfaces doesn't work.
Thus, commit fd49ddaf7e ("RDMA/rxe: prevent rxe creation on top of vlan
interface") was absolutely correct.

But b2d2440430 was incorrect assuming that with this change, RDMA and
VLAN don't work togehter at all. It just has to be set up
differently. Rather than creating rxe on top of the VLAN interface, rxe
must be created on top of the physical interface. RDMA then works just
fine through VLAN interfaces on top of that physical interface, via the
"upper device" logic.

This is hard to see in the rxe logic because it never talks about vlan,
but instead rxe carefully selects upper vlan netdevices when working with
packets which in turn imply certain vlan tagging. This is all done
correctly and interacts with the gid table with VLAN support the same as
real HW does.

b2d2440430 broke this setup deliberately and should thus be
reverted. Also, b2d2440430 removed rxe_dma_device(), so adapt the revert
to discard that hunk.

Fixes: b2d2440430 ("RDMA/rxe: Remove VLAN code leftovers from RXE")

Joe Perches f068cb1db2 RDMA/usnic: Fix misuse of sysfs_emit_at
In commit e28bf1f03b ("RDMA: Convert various random sprintf sysfs _show
uses to sysfs_emit") I mistakenly used len = sysfs_emit_at to overwrite
the last trailing space of potentially multiple entry output.

Instead use a more common style by removing the trailing space from the
output formats and adding a prefixing space to the contination formats and
converting the final terminating output newline from the defective
	len = sysfs_emit_at(buf, len, "\n");
to the now appropriate and typical
	len += sysfs_emit_at(buf, len, "\n");

Parav Pandit de641d74fb Revert "RDMA/mlx5: Fix devlink deadlock on net namespace deletion"
This reverts commit fbdd0049d9.

Due to commit in fixes tag, netdevice events were received only in one net
namespace of mlx5_core_dev. Due to this when netdevice events arrive in
net namespace other than net namespace of mlx5_core_dev, they are missed.

This results in empty GID table due to RDMA device being detached from its
net device.

Hence, revert back to receive netdevice events in all net namespaces to
restore back RDMA functionality in non init_net net namespace. The
deadlock will have to be addressed in another patch.

Kamal Heib a372173bf3 RDMA/cxgb4: Fix the reported max_recv_sge value
The max_recv_sge value is wrongly reported when calling query_qp, This is
happening due to a typo when assigning the max_recv_sge value, the value
of sq_max_sges was assigned instead of rq_max_sges.

Fixes: 3e5c02c9ef ("iw_cxgb4: Support query_qp() verb")
