It is likely that returning returned by 'devm_ioremap_resource()' is

Thierry Reding e7149a7a3f soc/tegra: bpmp: Implement generic PM domains
The BPMP firmware, found on Tegra186 and later, provides an ABI that can
be used to enable and disable power to several power partitions in Tegra
SoCs. The ABI allows for enumeration of the available power partitions,
so the driver can be reused on future generations, provided the BPMP ABI
remains stable.

Thierry Reding 52b8b80395 soc/tegra: bpmp: Update ABI header
Update the BPMP ABI header to a more recent version. The new version
adds support for a new powergating ABI as well as access to the ring
buffer console, which allows debug messages to be output to the BPMP
debug console.

Some of the previously undocumented fields have been documented and
missing bitmasks have been added. Furthermore the MRQ_RESET request
now has a sub-command that allows to determine the maximum ID which
in turn allows the resets to be enumerated, thereby allowing drivers
to become agnostic of the Tegra generation.

Allow generic power domain providers to override the ->xlate() callback

Geert Uytterhoeven 8be381a131 soc: renesas: Rework Kconfig and Makefile logic
The goals are to:
  - Allow precise control over and automatic selection of which
(sub)drivers are used for which SoC,
  - Allow adding support for new SoCs easily,
  - Allow compile-testing of all (sub)drivers,
  - Keep driver selection logic in the subsystem-specific Kconfig,
independent from the architecture-specific Kconfig (i.e. no "select"
    from arch/arm64/Kconfig.platforms), to avoid dependencies.

This is implemented by:
  - Introducing Kconfig symbols for all drivers and sub-drivers,
  - Introducing the Kconfig symbol SOC_RENESAS, which is enabled
automatically when building for a Renesas ARM platform, and which
enables all required drivers without interaction of the user, based
    on SoC-specific ARCH_* symbols,
  - Allowing the user to enable any Kconfig symbol manually if
    COMPILE_TEST is enabled,
  - Using the new Kconfig symbols instead of the ARCH_* symbols to
    control compilation in the Makefile,
  - Always entering drivers/soc/renesas/ during the build.

Andrew F. Davis 28df169b9a reset: Add the TI SCI reset driver
Some TI Keystone family of SoCs contain a system controller (like the
Power Management Micro Controller (PMMC) on 66AK2G SoCs) that manage
the low-level device control (like clocks, resets etc) for the various
hardware modules present on the SoC. These device control operations
are provided to the host processor OS through a communication protocol
called the TI System Control Interface (TI SCI) protocol.

This patch adds a reset driver that communicates to the system
controller over the TI SCI protocol for performing reset management
of various devices present on the SoC. Various reset functionalities
are achieved by the means of different TI SCI device operations
provided by the TI SCI framework.

Sudeep Holla 45ca7df7c3 firmware: arm_scpi: add support to populate OPPs and get transition latency
Currently only CPU devices use the transition latency and the OPPs
populated in the SCPI driver. scpi-cpufreq has logic to handle these.
However, even GPU and other users of SCPI DVFS will need the same logic.

In order to avoid duplication, this patch adds support to get DVFS
transition latency and add all the OPPs to the device using OPP library
helper functions. The helper functions added here can be used for any
device whose DVFS are managed by SCPI.

Also, we also have incorrect dependency on the cluster identifier for
the CPUs. It's fundamentally wrong as the domain id need not match the
cluster id. This patch gets rid of that dependency by making use of the
clock bindings which are already in place.

Here are some serial and tty fixes for 4.12-rc3. They are a bit
"bigger" than normal, which is why I had them "bake" in linux-next for a
few weeks and didn't send them to you for -rc2.

They revert a few of the serdev patches from 4.12-rc1, and bring things
back to how they were in 4.11, to try to make things a bit more stable
there. Rob and Johan both agree that this is the way forward, so this
isn't people squabbling over semantics. Other than that, just a few
minor serial driver fixes that people have had problems with.

Interrupts should not be enabled at this early in the boot process. It is
also fine to leave interrupts enabled during this time as there's only one
CPU running, and on_each_cpu() means to only run on the current CPU.

If early_boot_irqs_disabled is set, it is safe to run cpu_flush_range() with
interrupts disabled. Don't trigger a BUG_ON() in that case.

Masami Hiramatsu bdd7e3d684 selftests/ftrace: Add a testcase for many kprobe events
Add a testcase to test kprobes via ftrace interface
with many concurrent kprobe events.

This tries to add many kprobe events (up to 256) on
kernel functions. To avoid making ftrace-based
kprobes (kprobes on fentry), it skips first N bytes
(on x86 N=5, on ppc or arm N=4) of function entry.
After that, it enables all those events, disable it,
and remove it.

Since the unoptimization buffer reclaiming will
be delayed, after removing events, it will wait
enough time.

Fix kprobes to set(recover) RWX bits correctly on trampoline

Without this fix, if kprobes user register a bunch of kprobes
in function body (since kprobes on function entry usually
use ftrace) and unregister it, kernel hits a BUG and crash.

Eric Dumazet 3fb07daff8 ipv4: add reference counting to metrics
Andrey Konovalov reported crashes in ipv4_mtu()

I could reproduce the issue with KASAN kernels, between
10.246.7.151 and 10.246.7.152 :

1) 20 concurrent netperf -t TCP_RR -H 10.246.7.152 -l 1000 &

2) At the same time run following loop :
while :
do
ip ro add 10.246.7.152 dev eth0 src 10.246.7.151 mtu 1500
ip ro del 10.246.7.152 dev eth0 src 10.246.7.151 mtu 1500
done

Cong Wang attempted to add back rt->fi in commit
82486aa6f1 ("ipv4: restore rt->fi for reference counting")
but this proved to add some issues that were complex to solve.

Instead, I suggested to add a refcount to the metrics themselves,
being a standalone object (in particular, no reference to other objects)

I tried to make this patch as small as possible to ease its backport,
instead of being super clean. Note that we believe that only ipv4 dst
need to take care of the metric refcount. But if this is wrong,
this patch adds the basic infrastructure to extend this to other
families.

Many thanks to Julian Anastasov for reviewing this patch, and Cong Wang
for his efforts on this problem.

Peter Dawson 0e9a709560 ip6_tunnel, ip6_gre: fix setting of DSCP on encapsulated packets
This fix addresses two problems in the way the DSCP field is formulated
on the encapsulating header of IPv6 tunnels.
Bugzilla: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=195661

1) The IPv6 tunneling code was manipulating the DSCP field of the
encapsulating packet using the 32b flowlabel. Since the flowlabel is
only the lower 20b it was incorrect to assume that the upper 12b
containing the DSCP and ECN fields would remain intact when formulating
the encapsulating header. This fix handles the 'inherit' and
'fixed-value' DSCP cases explicitly using the extant dsfield u8 variable.

2) The use of INET_ECN_encapsulate(0, dsfield) in ip6_tnl_xmit was
incorrect and resulted in the DSCP value always being set to 0.

Commit 90427ef5d2 ("ipv6: fix flow labels when the traffic class
is non-0") caused the regression by masking out the flowlabel
which exposed the incorrect handling of the DSCP portion of the
 flowlabel in ip6_tunnel and ip6_gre.

Davide Caratti 804ec7ebe8 sctp: fix ICMP processing if skb is non-linear
sometimes ICMP replies to INIT chunks are ignored by the client, even if
the encapsulated SCTP headers match an open socket. This happens when the
ICMP packet is carried by a paged skb: use skb_header_pointer() to read
packet contents beyond the SCTP header, so that chunk header and initiate
tag are validated correctly.

v2:
- don't use skb_header_pointer() to read the transport header, since
icmp_socket_deliver() already puts these 8 bytes in the linear area.
- change commit message to make specific reference to INIT chunks.

linzhang 0908cf4dfe net: llc: add lock_sock in llc_ui_bind to avoid a race condition
There is a race condition in llc_ui_bind if two or more processes/threads
try to bind a same socket.

If more processes/threads bind a same socket success that will lead to
two problems, one is this action is not what we expected, another is
will lead to kernel in unstable status or oops(in my simple test case,
cause llc2.ko can't unload).

The current code is test SOCK_ZAPPED bit to avoid a process to
bind a same socket twice but that is can't avoid more processes/threads
try to bind a same socket at the same time.

So, add lock_sock in llc_ui_bind like others, such as llc_ui_connect.
