libpostal Tutorial

Azure Form Recognizer extract semantic information from a document. For fields of address, they are raw texts but often times customers want more detailed information such as street names, cities and ZIP Codes.

To enable address split on top of current form recognizer service, one may utilize the open source tool libpostal to parse out tructured information from the full addresses. The core library of libpostal is written in C while it supports language binding for Python, Ruby, Java, PHP and NodeJS.

This tutorial demonstrates how to use the libpostal Python binding to get the structured information from analyzed results.
