Brindusan Cristian 161ad8dbc8 Backed out changeset ffc59a6dfbd5 (bug 1595285) for bc failures at browser_editBookmark_tags_liveUpdate.js. CLOSED TREE 2019-11-13 18:03:55 +02:00
Emilio Cobos Álvarez 2ab66736e7 Bug 1595285 - Fix TestUtils.waitForCondition to not use setInterval. r=mak
The test that is timing out with these patches does something relatively simple:

  await TestUtils.waitForCondition(async function() {
    let color = await ContentTask.spawn(browserWindow, async function() {
      /* Do stuff... */
    });
    return color == something;
  });

  await closeWindow(browserWindow);

Turns out that this can intermittently leak the window due to waitForCondition
using setInterval. setInterval can schedule multiple tasks while awaiting for
the inner ContentTask.

What this means, is that we may still have a ContentTask awaiting us when we get
to close the window. Closing the window makes the ContentTask not finish, and
thus we leak a promise keeping alive the window in gPromises:

  https://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/rev/6566d92dd46417a2f57e75c515135ebe84c9cef5/testing/mochitest/BrowserTestUtils/ContentTask.jsm#24

Which means that we keep alive the window all the way until shutdown.

Fix it by ensuring that we only run one task at a time.

Kris Maglione ee6633da5c Bug 1478124: Part 1 - Update component mocks to replace and restore components sanely. r=froydnj
For static components, I don't intend to allow removing or replacing CID
entries, only contract ID entries. And I would generally prefer, when
restoring overrides of those classes, to not create a new dynamic factory
entry for the contract ID.

We already have the ability to mock components without either of those issues,
but registering a new CID entry for the mock (without unregistering the
original), and then restoring the original by calling `registerFactory` with a
null factory object.

This patch updates our existing mocks to behave that way, and paves the way
for the rest of the patches.

Kris Maglione e930b89c34 Bug 1514594: Part 3 - Change ChromeUtils.import API.
***
Bug 1514594: Part 3a - Change ChromeUtils.import to return an exports object; not pollute global. r=mccr8

This changes the behavior of ChromeUtils.import() to return an exports object,
rather than a module global, in all cases except when `null` is passed as a
second argument, and changes the default behavior not to pollute the global
scope with the module's exports. Thus, the following code written for the old
model:

  ChromeUtils.import("resource://gre/modules/Services.jsm");

is approximately the same as the following, in the new model:

  var {Services} = ChromeUtils.import("resource://gre/modules/Services.jsm");

Since the two behaviors are mutually incompatible, this patch will land with a
scripted rewrite to update all existing callers to use the new model rather
than the old.

Nika Layzell 11b083d72c Bug 1477432 - Part 9: Switch to using plain JS objects for nsIJS[IC]ID, r=mccr8
This is a complete rewrite of the interface while maintaining the same APIs.
Each ID is fully-contained within a single object, does not require a finalizer,
and is cheap to create.

Beyond using reserved slots, this code avoids using custom ClassOps, instead
preferring Symbol.hasInstance and eager constants.

One major change which occurred in this patch was the move from storing a nsCID
to storing the ContractID for JSCID objects. This eliminates the need for the
'refreshCID' method, and hopefully shouldn't have performance implications.

If we discover that there are performance problems there, we can look into
stashing the CID, and re-introduce 'refreshCID', despite its surprising
behaviour.

For messages that have a test field (like testStart/testStatus/testEnd/etc),
the StructuredLog.jsm module converts the field to a string if it was an Array
(as used by reftest). It looks like the assertionCount message accidentally got
left out.

I don't believe this conversion should be happening in StructuredLog.jsm. It
should either happen in the formatters, or in reftest.jsm. But for now it's
better to be consistent. Another bug for another time.

Andrew McCreight 5dec0e0beb Bug 1432992, part 1 - Remove definitions of Ci, Cr, Cc, and Cu. r=florian
This patch was autogenerated by my decomponents.py

It covers almost every file with the extension js, jsm, html, py,
xhtml, or xul.

It removes blank lines after removed lines, when the removed lines are
preceded by either blank lines or the start of a new block. The "start
of a new block" is defined fairly hackily: either the line starts with
//, ends with */, ends with {, <![CDATA[, """ or '''. The first two
cover comments, the third one covers JS, the fourth covers JS embedded
in XUL, and the final two cover JS embedded in Python. This also
applies if the removed line was the first line of the file.

It covers the pattern matching cases like "var {classes: Cc,
interfaces: Ci, utils: Cu, results: Cr} = Components;". It'll remove
the entire thing if they are all either Ci, Cr, Cc or Cu, or it will
remove the appropriate ones and leave the residue behind. If there's
only one behind, then it will turn it into a normal, non-pattern
matching variable definition. (For instance, "const { classes: Cc,
Constructor: CC, interfaces: Ci, utils: Cu } = Components" becomes
"const CC = Components.Constructor".)

Kit Cambridge 064ed56076 Bug 1368209 - Refactor `Engine::_processIncoming` into three stages. r=eoger,tcsc
* In the first stage, we fetch changed records, newest first, up to the
  download limit. We keep track of the oldest record modified time we
  see.
* Once we've fetched all records, we reconcile, noting records that
  fail to decrypt or reconcile for the next sync. We then ask the store
  to apply all remaining records. Previously, `applyIncomingBatchSize`
  specified how many records to apply at a time. I removed this because
  it added an extra layer of indirection that's no longer necessary,
  now that download batching buffers all records in memory, and all
  stores are async.
* In the second stage, we fetch IDs for all remaining records changed
  between the last sync and the oldest modified time we saw in the
  first stage. We *don't* set the download limit here, to ensure we
  add *all* changed records to our backlog, and we use the `"oldest"`
  sort order instead of `"index"`.
* In the third stage, we backfill as before. We don't want large deltas
  to delay other engines from syncing, so we still only take IDs up to
  the download limit from the backlog, and include failed IDs from the
  previous sync. On subsequent syncs, we'll keep fetching from the
  backlog until it's empty.

Other changes to note in this patch:

* `Collection::_rebuildURL` now allows callers to specify both `older`
  and `newer`. According to :rfkelly, this is explicitly and
  intentionally supported.
* Tests that exercise `applyIncomingBatchSize` are gone, since that's
  no longer a thing.
* The test server now shuffles records if the sort order is
  unspecified.

Greg Mierzwinski 92afe39265 Bug 1348103 - Fix test_chrome_bookmarks.js error when collecting code coverage on linux64-jsdcov. r=Gijs
This patch first adds an argument to the 'do_get_file(...)' function call in 'test_chrome_bookmarks.js' that simply allows the 'chromefiles' folder to be non-existent if it does not exist. The 'CoverageUtils.jsm' file is then modified so that the import of 'osfile.jsm' does not interfere with any tests. So, it is now imported into the script after the test has completed. Two other tests have unwanted behaviour that cause code coverage collection to fail so they are also skipped through this patch.

Greg Mierzwinski 4d2572b183 Bug 1317019 - Fix object iteration and check if scriptName exists. r=chmanchester,jmaher
This patch first implements an iterator so that we can properly iterate over the elements of the object returned by the _getMethodNames function. Next, the recordTestCoverage function now checks to see if the file actually has methods before recording them. And finally, some formatting was done.
