Getting all prefs for TSFTextStore during initializing may make damage to start up performance.

This patch creates TSFPrefs (I like better to name it TSFPreferences, but such long name isn't better when calling long name methods.) and implemented by simple macro.

Masayuki Nakano ec9ae17b0c Bug 1368554 ContentCacheInParent::mPendingCompositionCount should be decreased when TextCompositin which has dispatched composition events to corresponding remote process r=m_kato
ContentCacheInParent::mPendingCompositionCount is now managed with composition events which TabParent received. However, TextComposition doesn't dispatch composition events after coming request to commit active composition. Therefore, composition is committed forcibly in a remote process over 255 times, the main process crashes.

It's the safest way to use TextComposition to manage ContentCacheInParent::mPendingCompositionCount.

Markus Stange 5addcc3d4c Bug 1370757 - Don't expand the dirty rect for Mac native widget drawing. r=mattwoodrow
Extending it didn't play well with invalidation; widgets would only be able to
draw outside if the invalidated region of the current paint was larger than the
widget's declared paint rect but not if the widget was the only thing that got
invalidated.

Any legitimate widget overflow should instead be handled by GetWidgetOverflow.
The DrawCellWithSnapping overflow is considered to stay within the focus
ring's bounds.

I fuzzed two reftests which have extremely slight variance when -moz-appearance
is combined with box-shadow. I don't really understand this failure but I don't
think it's worth looking into either.

Masayuki Nakano 24bfe124f4 Bug 1369695 Creating ITfInputProcessorProfiles and TSFStaticSink when they are used at first time r=m_kato
ITfProcessorProfiles are used by a debug method TSFTextStore::CurrentKeyboardLayoutHasIME() and TSFStaticSink (when it's initialized). However, TSFStaticSink isn't necessary until when TSFTextStore needs to hack something for specific IME or notifying IMEHandler of active TIP change. So, we can put off to create the instance of ITfInputProcessorProfiles and TSFStaticSink.

Masayuki Nakano f6dd08693e Bug 1367692 - Make IMEHandler not restore default IMC unless legacy IMM-IME is active. r=m_kato
TIPs (and normal keyboard layouts) don't need IMC on focused window. So, in most environment, it's not necessary to restore default IMC of focused window.

Therefore, this patch makes IMEHandler not restore default IMC unless legacy IMM-IME is active and disassociate IMC from focused window when IMM-IME isn't active.

However, this is risky change. Therefore, the new behavior is disabled in default settings. On the other hand, we need the new behavior only when MS-IME for Japanese is active on Win10. Therefore, this patch adds a pref to enable/disable the hack and make it true in the default settings.

L. David Baron ee1674ecc5 Bug 1367576 - Refactor to allow for caching of some gtk widget padding/border results. r=karlt
This refactors the two nearly-identical callsites into a method so that
I can do caching in that method in the next patch.

Note that there was a slight difference between them in that the
aWidgetFlags parameter to GetGtkWidgetAndState was only passed from one
callsite. However, given that the aState parameter is null, this
doesn't cause any behavior differences. (Some controls in
GetGtkWidgetAndState null-check aWidgetFlags and some don't!)

Note also that this makes it always assign a result (often zero). This
is fine for both callsites; GetWidgetPadding previously assigned zero
right before the call, and GetWidgetBorder did so at the start of the
function (and wasn't modified in between, since it was immediately
before the switch that the modified code is a case in).

In TSF mode, application should retrieve messages with ITfMessagePump::GetMessage() or ITfMessagePump::PeekMessage() since TSF/TIP may handle the message before or after the host application handles it.

This patch rewrites the API users with WinUtils::(Get|Peek)Message() which use ITfMessagePump if it's available.

These old invalid prefs were caused by us not clearing out old inch page size prefs when the
user switched to a standard mm page size (for example A4).
This fix uses the fact that an old print_paper_size_type pref was removed at the same time
to trigger a one off sanitization.

This patch does the following renamings, which increase consistency.

- GeckoProfilerInitRAII -> AutoProfilerInit
- GeckoProfilerThread{Sleep,Wake}RAII -> AutoProfilerThread{Sleep,Wake}
- GeckoProfilerTracingRAII -> AutoProfilerTracing
- AutoProfilerRegister -> AutoProfilerRegisterThread
- ProfilerStackFrameRAII -> AutoProfilerLabel
- nsJSUtils::mProfilerRAII -> nsJSUtils::mAutoProfilerLabel

Plus a few other minor ones (e.g. local variables).

The patch also add MOZ_GUARD_OBJECT macros to all the profiler RAII classes
that lack them, and does some minor whitespace reformatting.

Masayuki Nakano 33da02bb41 Bug 1339543 part 3 PuppetWidget should stop getting all edit commands before dispatching keyboard events which are synthesized for tests r=smaug
Synthesized keyboard events in child process doesn't have edit commands when
it's being dispatched. With the old design, PuppetWidget needed to store all
edit commands for dispatching keyboard event but it's not necessary now because
WidgetKeyboardEvent will get only necessary edit commands when
WidgetKeyboardEvent::ExecuteEditCommands() is called.

So, PuppetWidget should stop calling TabChild::RequestNativeKeyBindings()
before dispatching keyboard events.

This patch changes browser_audioTabIcon.js which becomes permanent orange with
this change.

Masayuki Nakano 730193bdb6 Bug 1339543 part 2 eKeyPress event should have edit commands for all editor types when it's dispatched to a remote process r=smaug
When eKeyPress event is dispatched from TabParent to a remote process, it
should store edit command for all editor types. Then, copied
WidgetKeyboardEvent in the remote process doesn't need to request the edit
commands when its ExecuteEditCommands() is called.

Note that this patch also changes a automated test, browser_bug1316330.js,
that uses nsIDOMWindowUtils.dispatchDOMEventViaPresShell() to dispatch
repeated keyboard events in the tab. However, it should use synthesizeKey()
to emulate everything of native keyboard events and the API can dispatch
repeated keyboard events too. (And the test has a bug. It tries to wait 0.5
sec when every keydown or keypress event. However, it fails since startTime
is never initialized. This patch fixes this bug too.)

Masayuki Nakano 6d8d004613 Bug 1339543 part 1 Wrap nsIWidget::ExecuteNativeKeyBinding() with a WidgetKeyboardEvent method and users of the method should use it r=smaug
Currently, edit commands for native key bindings are stored in widget. This is
stateful and really complicated in content process because it needs to cache
them.

We can make this simpler if we make WidgetKeyboardEvent store edit commands for
the key combination. Then, child process can handle it even if it's delayed
event or it's a nested event.

This patch adds arrays to WidgetKeyboardEvent to store edit commands which are
initialized with nsIWidget::ExecuteNativeKeyBinding() and adds
WidgetKeyboardEvent::ExecuteEditCommands() to execute stored edit commands as
same as nsIWidget::ExecutenativeKeyBinding().

When dragging a `draggable=true` HTML DOM node, if no data is added to the
DataTransfer during the DragStart event, we currently cancel the drag. This is
inconsistent with Chrome's behaviour.

This patch adds a chrome-only (hidden from content) item to the DataTransfer:
application/x-moz-dummy-data. This data is added only when no other data has
been added to the DataTransfer, and the target of the dragstart event was a
draggable=true HTML DOM node.

This hidden node allows for the drag event to complete successfully, while
appearing the same as Chrome's behavior to content scripts.

Nicholas Nethercote ea25e62e3c Bug 1360471 (part 4) - Use a bitfield to represent profiler features. r=mstange.
Currently the profiler mostly uses an array of strings to represent which
features are available and in use. This patch changes the profiler core to use
a uint32_t bitfield, which is a much simpler and faster representation.
(nsProfiler and the profiler add-on still use the array of strings, alas.) The
new ProfilerFeature type defines the values in the bitfield.

One side-effect of this change is that profiler_feature_active() now can be
used to query all features. Previously it was just a subset.

Another side-effect is that profiler_get_available_features() no longer incorrectly
indicates support for Java and stack-walking when they aren't supported. (The
handling of task tracer support is unchanged, because the old code handled it
correctly.)

Jim Chen c3aa7c74d4 Bug 1353799 - 2. Update current composition when setting/removing spans; r=esawin
Update the composition when setting/removing spans, so that we update
the selection/cursor during a composition. However, we must limit any
updating to the current composition only (as indicated by the
keep-current-composition flag), because the Facebook comment box behaves
incorrectly if we repeatedly start and end new compositions.

Masayuki Nakano 3456c02e0a Bug 1358958 part.2 Implement TextInputHandler::InsertNewline() to handle "insertNewline:" command r=m_kato
Due to bug 1358958, simply inserting a line breaker with composition events doesn't work as expected in HTML editor. Therefore, we need to dispatch "fake" Enter keypress event even if it's not handling Enter key actually or shouldn't dispatch keypress event anymore.

The method tries to dispatch Enter keypress event. If it's handling Enter key press actually and can dispatch keypress event normally, it dispatches Enter keypress event as-is. Otherwise, it tries to dispatch "fake" Enter keypress. It doesn't have Control, Option and Command key state for emulating to insert a line breaker. Additionally, its code value is not set to "Enter" because the fake key event isn't a physical key event.

If it cannot dispatch Enter keypress event, it dispatches composition events to insert "\n" even though it won't work in HTML editor.

Masayuki Nakano e12339e622 Bug 1358958 part.1 Don't consume command when neither keydown nor keypress event was consumed r=m_kato
When typing Enter key when active keyboard layout is Korean IME and it has composition string, the composition string is committed and then, "insertNewline:" command is sent. However, TextInputHandler::DoCommandBySelector() consumes the command because the key event has already modified the composition string.

This patch makes TextInputHandler::DoCommandBySelector() consume the command if it's not handling keydown or neither dispatched keydown event nor dispatched keypress event (if it does) is consumed. Therefore, insertNewline:sender of nsChildView will be called later, then, it causes inserting a line break with a set of composition events.

David Anderson 689908c568 Make PLayerTransaction's constructor async. (bug 1350634, ipc_r=billm, r=mattwoodrow,kats)
PLayerTransaction's constructor was previously synchronous so we could
return a TextureFactoryIdentifier. This is quite reliably available
already in the case of opening a tab, due to RenderFrameParent knowing
which compositor it is attached to, so we can make the constructor
asynchronous.

In the top-level widget case, we add a new synchronous message to find
the TextureFactoryIdentifier.
