Keerthy ced3068344 clk: ti: divider: Add the table parsing to get the best divider value
Currently the divider selection logic blindly divides the parent_rate
by the clk rate and gives the divider value for the divider clocks
which do not have the CLK_SET_RATE_PARENT flag set. Add the clk divider
table parsing to get the closest divider available in the table
provided via Device tree.

The code is pretty much taken from: drivers/clk/clk-divider.c.
and used here to fix up the best divider selection logic.

Richard Watts 035cd485a4 clk: ti: omap36xx: Work around sprz319 advisory 2.1
The OMAP36xx DPLL5, driving EHCI USB, can be subject to a long-term
frequency drift. The frequency drift magnitude depends on the VCO update
rate, which is inversely proportional to the PLL divider. The kernel
DPLL configuration code results in a high value for the divider, leading
to a long term drift high enough to cause USB transmission errors. In
the worst case the USB PHY's ULPI interface can stop responding,
breaking USB operation completely. This manifests itself on the
Beagleboard xM by the LAN9514 reporting 'Cannot enable port 2. Maybe the
cable is bad?' in the kernel log.

Errata sprz319 advisory 2.1 documents PLL values that minimize the
drift. Use them automatically when DPLL5 is used for USB operation,
which we detect based on the requested clock rate. The clock framework
will still compute the PLL parameters and resulting rate as usual, but
the PLL M and N values will then be overridden. This can result in the
effective clock rate being slightly different than the rate cached by
the clock framework, but won't cause any adverse effect to USB
operation.

Paul Gortmaker 172ff5a22d clk: ti: make clk-dra7-atl explicitly non-modular
The Kconfig currently controlling compilation of this code is:

arch/arm/mach-omap2/Kconfig:config SOC_DRA7XX
arch/arm/mach-omap2/Kconfig: bool "TI DRA7XX"

...meaning that it currently is not being built as a module by anyone.

Lets remove the modular code that is essentially orphaned, so that
when reading the driver there is no doubt it is builtin-only.

We explicitly disallow a driver unbind, since that doesn't have a
sensible use case anyway, and it allows us to drop the ".remove"
code for non-modular drivers.

Since module_platform_driver() uses the same init level priority as
builtin_platform_driver() the init ordering remains unchanged with
this commit.

Also note that MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE is a no-op for non-modular code.

We also delete the MODULE_LICENSE tags etc. since all that information
is already contained at the top of the file in the comments.

 Core:

  - CLK_IS_CRITICAL support has been added. This should allow drivers
to properly express that a certain clk should stay on even if
their prepare/enable count drops to 0 (and in turn the parents of
    these clks should stay enabled).

  - A clk registration API has been added, clk_hw_register(), and
an OF clk provider API has been added, of_clk_add_hw_provider().
These APIs have been put in place to further split clk providers
from clk consumers, with the goal being to have clk providers
never deal with struct clk pointers at all. Conversion of provider
drivers is on going. clkdev has also gained support for registering
clk_hw pointers directly so we can convert drivers that don't use
    devicetree.

 New Drivers:

  - Marvell ap806 and cp110 system controllers (with clks inside!)
  - Hisilicon Hi3519 clock and reset controller
  - Axis ARTPEC-6 clock controllers
  - Oxford Semiconductor OXNAS clock controllers
  - AXS10X I2S PLL
  - Rockchip RK3399 clock and reset controller

 Updates:

  - MMC2 and UART2 clks on Samsung Exynos 3250, ACLK on Samsung Exynos 542x
SoCs, and some more clk ID exporting for bus frequency scaling
  - Proper BCM2835 PCM clk support and various other clks
  - i.MX clk updates for i.MX6SX, i.MX7, and VF610
  - Renesas updates for R-Car H3

On dm814x we have 13 ADPLLs with 3 to 4 outputs on each. The
ADPLLs have several dividers and muxes controlled by a shared
control register for each PLL.

Note that for the clocks to work as device drivers for booting on
dm814x, this patch depends on "ARM: OMAP2+: Change core_initcall
levels to postcore_initcall" that has already been merged.

Also note that this patch does not implement clk_set_rate for the

Errata i810 states that DPLL controller can get stuck while transitioning
to a power saving state, while its M/N ratio is being re-programmed.

As a workaround, before re-programming the M/N ratio, SW has to ensure
the DPLL cannot start an idle state transition. SW can disable DPLL
idling by setting the DPLL AUTO_DPLL_MODE=0 or keeping a clock request
active by setting a dependent clock domain in SW_WKUP.

This errata impacts OMAP5 and DRA7 chips, so enable the errata for these.

Suman Anna 7aba4f5201 clk: ti: dflt: fix enable_reg validity check
The default clock enabling functions for TI clocks -
omap2_dflt_clk_enable() and omap2_dflt_clk_disable() perform a
NULL check for the enable_reg field of the clk_hw_omap structure.
This enable_reg field however is merely a combination of the index
of the master IP module, and the offset from the master IP module's
base address. A value of 0 is perfectly valid, and the current error
checking will fail in these cases. The issue was found when trying
to enable the iva2_ck clock on OMAP3 platforms.

So, switch the check to use IS_ERR. This correction is similar to the
logic used in commit c807dbedb5 ("clk: ti: fix ti_clk_get_reg_addr

Tomi Valkeinen f892b20352 CLK: TI: always enable DESHDCP clock
DESHDCP clock is needed on DRA7 based SoCs to enable the DSS IP. That
clock is an odd one, as it is not supposed to be any kind of core clock
for DSS, and we don't even support HDCP, but the clock is still needed
even for the HWMOD framework to be able to reset the DSS IP.

As there's no support for multiple core clocks in the HWMOD framework,
we don't have any obvious place to enable this clock when DSS IP is
being enabled.

Furthermore, the HDMI on OMAP5 DSS is the same as on DRA7, and OMAP5
does not have any such clock configuration bit. This suggests that on
OMAP5 the DESHDCP clock is always enabled, and for DRA7 we have the
possibility to gate it.

So, as we don't have any clean way to enable and disable the clock
based on the need, this patch enables the clock at boot time, making it
work similarly to OMAP5.

Tony Lindgren 9089848d9a clk: ti: Implement FAPLL set_rate for the PLL
Since we have a fractional divider for the synthesizer, just implement
a simple multiply logic for the PLL.

It seems the PLL divider needs to have also the multiplier set for the PLL
to lock. At least I have not yet figured out if divided rates are doable.

So let's just ignore the PLL divider for now as the synthesizer has both
integer and fractional dividers so we don't even need to use the PLL
divider for the rates we know work with PLL locking.

Tony Lindgren cafeb002cf clk: ti: Implement FAPLL set_rate for the synthesizer
We can pretty much get any rate out of the FAPLL because of the fractional
divider. Let's first try just adjusting the post divider, and if that is
not enough, then reprogram both the fractional divider and the post divider.

Let's also add a define for the fixed SYNTH_PHASE_K instead of using 8.

Tony Lindgren 33ca29c99e clk: ti: Fix FAPLL recalc_rate for rounding errors
We need to round the calculated value to have it match the requested rate.

While at it, let's fix a typo and use a define for SYNTH_MAX_DIV_M as we
will need it in later patches for set_rate.

And let's remove two unused includes.

Suman Anna 712f7d64f0 clk: ti: DRA7: Add timer_sys_ck aliases for Timers 13 through 16
The OMAP DMTimer API, omap_dm_timer_set_source(), uses the clock name
timer_sys_ck for setting a timer's clock source for the source index
OMAP_TIMER_SRC_SYS_CLK. There is currently no clock alias data for
the Timers 13 through 16 for this clock name, so add the same.

Suman Anna d4295be387 clk: ti: DRA7: Correct timer_sys_ck clock aliases for Timers
The OMAP DMTimer API, omap_dm_timer_set_source(), can set the parent
of a timer node using 3 different values that use fixed parent names
for the clocks. The parent name, timer_sys_ck, is used for setting the
parent when used with the source index OMAP_TIMER_SRC_SYS_CLK. This
should point to the TIMER_SYS_CLK and not the SYSCLKIN2, so correct
the clock aliases appropriately. SYSCLKIN2 is not a mandatory clock
input.

Suman Anna 03ff41a938 clk: ti: OMAP5: Correct the DT clock aliases for timers
The DT clock aliases for Timers use the legacy (non-DT) device
names and a source clock named sys_ck. OMAP5 is DT-boot only,
so correct the DT clock aliases to use the DT device names
instead. Also, the source clock name is corrected from 'sys_ck'
to 'timer_sys_ck', the name used by the OMAP dmtimer driver.

Suman Anna 2ff8d75c23 clk: ti: OMAP4: Remove the legacy timer DT clock aliases
The DT clock aliases for timers using the legacy OMAP timer
device names have been cleaned up. These device names reflect
the names used in legacy boot, and are no longer applicable
as OMAP4 is DT boot only now.

Tero Kristo c807dbedb5 clk: ti: fix ti_clk_get_reg_addr error handling
There is a case where NULL can be a valid return value for
ti_clk_get_reg_addr, specifically the case where both the provider index
and register offsets are zero. In this case, the current error checking
against a NULL pointer will fail. Thus, change the API to return a
ERR_PTR value in an error case, and change all the users of this API to
check against IS_ERR instead.

Tony Lindgren 03208cc69f clk: ti: Fix FAPLL parent enable bit handling
Commit 163152cbbe ("clk: ti: Add support for FAPLL on dm816x")
added basic support for the FAPLL on dm818x, but has a bug for the
parent PLL enable bit. The FAPLL_MAIN_PLLEN is defined as BIT(3)
but the code is doing a shift on it.

This means the parent PLL won't get disabled even if all it's child
synthesizers are disabled.
