Magnus Damm 137b53b71c sh: intc - fix IRQ4 and IRQ5 typo on sh3
The intc tables for sh3 currently contain a typo where the bit
fields in IPRD are mixed up for IRQ4 and IRQ5. This patch makes
sure the correct bit fields are used - all according to the
datasheets.

This patch converts the cpu specific interrupt setup code for sh7760
from ipr + intc2 to intc. New vectors are also added to match the
information provided by the datasheet.

Vectors for IRQ4-IRQ7 are enabled by default. Use plat_irq_setup_pins()
if pins IRL0-3 should be used in IRLM mode.

The patch also adds the SIM block to the serial port platform data.
Version two of this patch fixes MMCIF problems reported by Manuel Lauss.

This reworks the cache mode configuration in Kconfig, and allows for
explicit selection of write-back/write-through/off configurations.
All of the cache flushing routines are optimized away for the off
case.

Magnus Damm ec58f1f32d sh: intc - add support for SH7706, SH7707, SH7708, SH7709
This patch unifies the cpu specific interrupt setup code for
sh7706, sh7707, sh7708 and sh7709 and moves the code into a new
file called setup-sh770x.c.  It makes sense to share the setup code
between these processors because most hardware blocks are identical
from a software point of view. With this patch the sh770x processors
now have a complete set of vectors that match with the information
provided by the data sheets. This is a big improvement for sh7708.

Vectors for IRQ4 and IRQ5 are enabled by default. Use
plat_irq_setup_pins() if pins IRQ0-3 should be used in IRQ mode.

This patch also unifies the platform device setup code which means
that the rtc driver now has platform data for all sh770x processors.

Paul Mundt da2f5f7bf4 sh: Fix DSP opcode regression for SH3-DSP parts.
Older versions of binutils do not support -Wa,-isa= tuning, which is
something we rely on for enabling DSP opcode support on the newer
parts. SH3-DSP parts can still be handled with -Wa,-dsp even if the
newer parts require the newer versions of binutils for supporting the
new opcodes.

This was broken in -rc1 when the SH4AL-DSP support was being reworked,
and is needed to get SH3-DSP working with older toolchains again.

Andy Whitcroft 96989d9d75 sh: remove extraneous ; on scif_sercon_putc wait loop
It seems we have gained an extraneous trailing ';' on one of the
wait loops in scif_sercon_putc().  Although this is completely
benign as the apparent payload is also the empty statement, it
invites error in the future.  Clean it up now.

Paul Mundt 5556410e22 sh: panic on machvec section misalignment.
Now that __initmv references the machvec section unconditionally
there have been cases where folks have been mistakenly flagging
non-machvec structures with the machvec section attribute (presumably
to shut up modpost). This leads to obscure breakage in earlyprintk
amongst other places and is rather non-obvious.

Add a simple sanity check to try and catch __initmv misuse and
panic early.

Paul Mundt 662ae2169a sh: Fix PTRACE_PEEKTEXT/PEEKDATA fallout from generic_ptrace_peekdata().
When generic_ptrace_peekdata() was merged, the break for these cases
ended up getting dropped, which lead to each PEEKTEXT/PEEKDATA op leaking
in to PEEKUSR and get_user_pages() always -EFAULTing. Add the break back
in.

Magnus Damm cc6f33db30 sh: fix defconfigs for sh7751r boards
This patch fixes up the defconfig for various sh7751r based boards
by updating them to the single cpu subtype CONFIG_CPU_SUBTYPE_SH7751R.
The following sh4 boards are updated: hs7751rvoip, landisk, lboxre2,
systemh, titan.

The current defconfigs with two subtypes defined trigger a configuration
bug which result in kernel configurations with missing board support
code. We end up with kernels without board code and with generic machvec
only.

So we need this patch to make sure the board code gets compiled in.

Paul Mundt 06f862c8ce sh: Fix pgd mismatch from cached TTB in unhandled fault.
When reading the cached TTB value and extracting the pgd, we
accidentally applied a __va() to it and bumped it off in to bogus
space which ended up causing multiple faults in the error path.

Fix it up so unhandled faults don't do strange and highly unorthodox
things when oopsing.

Paul Mundt c347d12cd1 sh: Fix lockdep debugging oops on SH-3/4.
In the SH-3/4 TLB access violation path we were enabling IRQs before
the call in to trace_hardirqs_on(), which ended up triggering:

        if (DEBUG_LOCKS_WARN_ON(!irqs_disabled()))
                return;

in kernel/lockdep.c:2031. Fix this up by removing the early re-enable,
we were already re-enabling IRQs post-trace_hardirqs_on() already, so
the semantics are now as was initially intended.

Not all CPUs support the DSP, and this leads to problems when mixing
and matching CPU types and DSP opcodes. Fix this up by only allowing

Adrian McMenamin eb695dbf00 sh: Fix Dreamcast DMA issues.
The current SH DMA API is somewhat broken, not correctly matching
virtual channel to the correct SH DMAC. This wasn't noticeable when
using g2 DMA for the sound driver - one channel 0 is as good as any
other! - but caused the pvr2 driver to fail.

This patch fixes the pvr2 problem and consequently fixes the sound
driver to ensure it continues to function.

Paul Mundt 8cf1a74305 sh: Add kmap_coherent()/kunmap_coherent() interface for SH-4.
This wires up kmap_coherent() and kunmap_coherent() on SH-4, and
moves away from the p3map_mutex and reserved P3 space, opting to
use fixmaps for colouring instead.

The copy_user_page()/clear_user_page() implementations are moved
to this, which fixes the nasty blowups with spinlock debugging
as a result of having some of these calls nested under the page
table lock.

Thomas Gleixner 18de5bc4c1 clockevents: fix resume logic
We need to make sure, that the clockevent devices are resumed, before
the tick is resumed. The current resume logic does not guarantee this.

Add CLOCK_EVT_MODE_RESUME and call the set mode functions of the clock
event devices before resuming the tick / oneshot functionality.

Fixup the existing users.

Thanks to Nigel Cunningham for tracking down a long standing thinko,
which affected the jinxed VAIO.

Magnus Damm 56386f6424 sh: intc - add support for SH7750 and its variants
This patch converts the cpu specific 7750 setup code to use the
new intc controller. Many new vectors are added and multiple
processor variants including 7091, 7750, 7750s, 7750r, 7751 and
7751r should all have the correct vectors hooked up.

IRLM interrupts can be enabled using ipr_irq_enable_irlm() which
now is marked as __init.

Magnus Damm ee54505199 sh: update r2d defconfig and fix SH7751R pci compliation
This patch updates the r2d board support in a few ways:

- CPU_SUBTYPE_SH7751R is selected in the defconfig to play well
  with the r2d board Kconfig entry. Without this the defconfig
  results in no board enabled.

- Enable EARLY_PRINTK.
- Enable SH_STANDARD_BIOS
	- this works well for early printk on the r2d board.

- Add "earlyprink=bios" to the cmdline for early serial port
  output by default.

- CONFIG_SUBTYPE_SH7751R support is added to the sh-specific
  pci makefile.

Paul Mundt fc10020292 sh: Make on-chip DMA channel selection explicit.
Currently this has a prompt to allow users to change it. There's
no reason to do this, and it has caused breakage and confusion
in the past, so remove it entirely.

We'll get rid of this when the whole driver is tidied for
the driver model.

Paul Mundt cb5ec75b8b sh: cpufreq: clock framework support.
This gets the SH cpufreq working again. We follow the changes
in the AVR32 implementation for wrapping in to the clock framework.
CPUs that wish to use this are required to define rate rounding
primitives in order to satisfy clk_round_rate().

This works well enough for the common case, though we should
look at unifying this driver across all of the platforms that
implement clock framework support in one capacity or another.

This patch converts the cpu specific 7780 setup code to use the

external interrupt sense configuration. So with this patch it is now
possible to configure external interrupt pins as edge or level
triggered using set_irq_type().

No external interrupts are registered by default.
Use plat_irq_setup_pins() to select between IRQ or IRL mode.

This patch also fixes the Alarm IRQ for the RTC.

Magnus Damm 02ab3f7079 sh: intc - shared IPR and INTC2 controller
This is the second version of the shared interrupt controller patch
for the sh architecture, fixing up handling of intc_reg_fns[].

The three main advantages with this controller over the existing
ones are:

	- Both priority (ipr) and bitmap (intc2) registers are
	  supported
	- External pin sense configuration is supported, ie edge
	  vs level triggered
	- CPU/Board specific code maps 1:1 with datasheet for
	  easy verification

This controller can easily coexist with the current IPR and INTC2
controllers, but the idea is that CPUs/Boards should be moved over
to this controller over time so we have a single code base to
maintain.

Slab destructors were no longer supported after Christoph's
c59def9f22 change. They've been
BUGs for both slab and slub, and slob never supported them
either.

This rips out support for the dtor pointer from kmem_cache_create()
completely and fixes up every single callsite in the kernel (there were
about 224, not including the slab allocator definitions themselves,
or the documentation references).

Fenghua Yu 5fb7dc37dc define new percpu interface for shared data
per cpu data section contains two types of data.  One set which is
exclusively accessed by the local cpu and the other set which is per cpu,
but also shared by remote cpus.  In the current kernel, these two sets are
not clearely separated out.  This can potentially cause the same data
cacheline shared between the two sets of data, which will result in
unnecessary bouncing of the cacheline between cpus.

One way to fix the problem is to cacheline align the remotely accessed per
cpu data, both at the beginning and at the end.  Because of the padding at
both ends, this will likely cause some memory wastage and also the
interface to achieve this is not clean.

This patch:

Moves the remotely accessed per cpu data (which is currently marked
as ____cacheline_aligned_in_smp) into a different section, where all the data
elements are cacheline aligned. And as such, this differentiates the local
only data and remotely accessed data cleanly.

Pavel Emelianov bcdcd8e725 Report that kernel is tainted if there was an OOPS
If the kernel OOPSed or BUGed then it probably should be considered as
tainted.  Thus, all subsequent OOPSes and SysRq dumps will report the
tainted kernel.  This saves a lot of time explaining oddities in the
calltraces.

Heiko Carstens 608e261968 generic bug: use show_regs() instead of dump_stack()
The current generic bug implementation has a call to dump_stack() in case a
WARN_ON(whatever) gets hit.  Since report_bug(), which calls dump_stack(),
gets called from an exception handler we can do better: just pass the
pt_regs structure to report_bug() and pass it to show_regs() in case of a
warning.  This will give more debug informations like register contents,
etc...  In addition this avoids some pointless lines that dump_stack()
emits, since it includes a stack backtrace of the exception handler which
is of no interest in case of a warning.  E.g.  on s390 the following lines
are currently always present in a stack backtrace if dump_stack() gets
called from report_bug():

GCC 4.2 can emit integer variants of the FP division routines, so
these need to be exported in order to keep the modules happy.

4.1.x versions of the ST compiler have these things backported,
and so also generate these symbols (whereas vanilla gcc 4.1.x
does not), so handle the __GNUC_STM_RELEASE__ case to accomodate
updated versions of the 4.1.x toolchain.

Erik Johansson 8cb661d6a4 sh: fix race in parallel out-of-tree build
Depending on which of the three dependencies for archprepare (in
arch/sh/Makefile) get built first, the directory include/asm-sh may or
may not exist when the maketools target is built. If the directory does
not exist, awk will fail to generate machtypes.h. This patch fixes this
by creating the directory before awk is executed.

Older compilers don't support the -m4a{,nofpu} flags, which has the
side-effect of allowing FP operations to be emitted. Switch this to
incremental tuning, so we at least have -m4-nofpu as a fallback for
the gcc3 toolchains.

Without this, certain modules emit references to __udivsi3_i4 and
__sdivsi3_i4.

with the ipr_data structure in a new data structure called ipr_desc.
This new structure also contains the name of the controller in struct
irq_chip. The idea behind putting struct irq_chip in there is that we
can use offsetof() to locate the base addresses in the irq_chip
callbacks. This strategy has much in common with the recently merged
intc2 code.

One logic change has been made - the original ipr code enabled the
interrupts by default but with this patch they are all disabled by
default.

Paul Mundt 05a117847b sh: Fix up cpu to node mapping in sysfs.
Currently cpu_to_node() is always 0 in the UP case, though
we do want to have the CPU association linked in under sysfs
even in the cases where we're only on a single CPU.

Fix this up, so we have the cpu0 link on all of the available
nodes that don't already have a CPU link of their own.

Some compilers don't support the explicit CPU tuning, while binutils
is still able to handle the special subtype-specific opcodes. Make

Paul Mundt fd8f20e8e2 sh: Rip out special unknown machvec.
This kills off the BareCPU board as a "special" machvec, rather,
we leave this as a default for when no other vector is available,
or when we want to use it in combination with other vectors for
testing with generic ops. As sh_mv is copied out anyways (or
overloaded when an alternate vector is explicitly selected), this
doesn't consume any additional memory.

The generic machvec can be forcibly selected with sh_mv=generic,
or by not having any other boards enabled.

Paul Mundt 82f81f4784 sh: Kill off machvec aliases.
We now throw all of the machvecs in to .machvec.init and either
select one on the command line, or copy out the first (and
usually only) one to sh_mv. The rest are freed as usual.

This gets rid of all of the silly sh_mv aliasing and makes the
selection explicit rather than link-order dependent.

As pointed out by Saito-san, without the sr.bl manipulation we can
occasionally hit delays in the idle loop due to interrupt handling, so
ensure that interrupts are blocked before going to sleep.

At the same time, we throw in TIF_POLLING_NRFLAG for the !hlt_counter
case (primarily used by the ST-40 parts).

Christoph Hellwig fce692e798 sh: revert addition of page fault notifiers
Just at the time you added them on sh we're removing them from other
architectures. As there's no user yet this patch just removes them
completely. Once you actually have a kprobes patch it should follow
the direct call to kprobes_fault_handler model that powerpc, s390 and
sparc64 employ in 2.6.22-rc1 and that I'm updating other architectures
to.

Paul Mundt 38c425f69c sh: Kill off pmb slab cache destructor.
This is the last remaining slab destructor in the kernel, which
we kill off and move the resultant list tracking logic up to
the pmb_alloc()/pmb_free() paths.

As Christoph Lameter pointed out, it's potentially unsafe to be
taking the list lock in the destructor anyways, so this is also
more fundamentally correct.

With this in place, we're all set for killing off slab destructors
from the kernel entirely.

Manuel Lauss fc467a2623 sh: SH7760 DMABRG support.
The DMABRG is a special DMA unit within the SH7760 which does data
transfers from main memory to Audio units and USB shared memory.
It has 3 IRQ lines which generate 10 events, which have to be masked
unmasked and acked in a single 32bit register. It works independently
from the tradition SH DMAC, but blocks usage of DMAC channel 0.

This patch adds 2 functions to associate callbacks with DMABRG events
and initialization.

The old NO_IDLE_HZ implementation is also dropped completely,
the only users of this were on TMU-based systems anyways.

More work needs to be done to generalize the TMU handling,
in that the current implementation is rather tied to the
notion of TMU0 and TMU1 utilization.

Additionally, as more SH timers switch over to this scheme,
we'll be able to gut most of the remaining system timer
infrastructure that existed before.

Paul Mundt 53f983a90d sh: Fix PC adjustments for varying opcode length.
There are a few different cases for figuring out how to
size the instruction. We read in the instruction located
at regs->pc - 4 when rewinding the opcode to figure out if
there's a 32-bit opcode before the faulting instruction, with
a default of a - 2 adjustment on a mismatch. In practice this
works for the cases where pc - 4 is just another 16-bit opcode,
or we happen to have a 32-bit and a 16-bit immediately
preceeding the pc value.

In the cases where we aren't rewinding, this is much less ugly..

We also don't bother fixing up the places where we're explicitly
dealing with 16-bit instructions, since this might lead to
confusion regarding the encoding size possibilities on other
CPU variants.

Gerd Hoffmann 69331af79c Fixes and cleanups for earlyprintk aka boot console
The console subsystem already has an idea of a boot console, using the
CON_BOOT flag.  The implementation has some flaws though.  The major
problem is that presence of a boot console makes register_console() ignore
any other console devices (unless explicitly specified on the kernel
command line).

This patch fixes the console selection code to *not* consider a boot
console a full-featured one, so the first non-boot console registering will
become the default console instead.  This way the unregister call for the
boot console in the register_console() function actually triggers and the
handover from the boot console to the real console device works smoothly.
Added a printk for the handover, so you know which console device the
output goes to when the boot console stops printing messages.

The disable_early_printk() call is obsolete with that patch, explicitly
disabling the early console isn't needed any more as it works automagically
with that patch.

I've walked through the tree, dropped all disable_early_printk() instances
found below arch/ and tagged the consoles with CON_BOOT if needed.  The
code is tested on x86, sh (thanks to Paul) and mips (thanks to Ralf).

Changes to last version: Rediffed against -rc3, adapted to mips cleanups by
Ralf, fixed "udbg-immortal" cmd line arg on powerpc.

Almost all users of pm_ops only support mem sleep, don't check in .valid and
don't reject any others in .prepare so users can be confused if they check
/sys/power/state, especially when new states are added (these would then
result in s-t-r although they're supposed to be something different).

This patch implements a generic pm_valid_only_mem function that is then
exported for users and puts it to use in almost all existing pm_ops.

Johannes Berg fe0c935a6c rework pm_ops pm_disk_mode, kill misuse
This patch series cleans up some misconceptions about pm_ops.  Some users of
the pm_ops structure attempt to use it to stop the user from entering suspend
to disk, this, however, is not possible since the user can always use
"shutdown" in /sys/power/disk and then the pm_ops are never invoked.  Also,
platforms that don't support suspend to disk simply should not allow
configuring SOFTWARE_SUSPEND (read the help text on it, it only selects
suspend to disk and nothing else, all the other stuff depends on PM).

The pm_ops structure is actually intended to provide a way to enter
platform-defined sleep states (currently supported states are "standby" and
"mem" (suspend to ram)) and additionally (if SOFTWARE_SUSPEND is configured)
allows a platform to support a platform specific way to enter low-power mode
once everything has been saved to disk.  This is currently only used by ACPI
(S4).

This patch:

The pm_ops.pm_disk_mode is used in totally bogus ways since nobody really
seems to understand what it actually does.

This patch clarifies the pm_disk_mode description.

It also removes all the arm and sh users that think they can veto suspend to
disk via pm_ops; not so since the user can always do echo shutdown >
/sys/power/disk, they need to find a better way involving Kconfig or such.

ACPI is the only user left with a non-zero pm_disk_mode.

The patch also sets the default mode to shutdown again, but when a new pm_ops
is registered its pm_disk_mode is selected as default, that way the default
stays for ACPI where it is apparently required.

Hideo Saito bb68660943 sh: Fix PCI BAR address-space wraparound.
When a SH7751R system includes a card that has wide range space
like a graphics card, the pci-pci bridge controller can't set the
correct address range.

For example, when *lower_limit is 0xfd000000 and bar_size is
0x4000000, in the following code at arch/sh/drivers/pci/pci-auto.c,
0x0 is set in bar_value.

pciauto_setup_bars()
{
...
                bar_value = ((*lower_limit - 1) & ~(bar_size - 1)) + bar_size;
...
                *lower_limit = bar_value + bar_size;
}

As a result, 0x4000000 is set in *lower_limit, but this value is wrong.

The following patch avoids this problem by checking the range of the
value and refusing to update the BAR if the calculated value ends up
being bogus.

Hideo Saito e6bcf562e5 sh: Fix kernel thread stack corruption with preempt.
When I run a preemptive kernel-2.6.20 for SH7780, a created
kthread(pdflush) can not exit by do_exit() in kernel_thread_helper. I
think that the created kthread should have a room for 'struct pt_regs'
space on the stack top, because __switch_to() will refer to the space as
follows using 'regs = task_pt_regs(prev)' and next condition may be true.

Paul Mundt 3b4d953962 sh: heartbeat consolidation for banked LEDs.
This consolidates the various board heartbeat LED implementations,
used for strobing the load average across a LED bank. Those boards
not implementing a full bank can hook in via the LED class.

We leave the compat hook in the machvec for now until those non-banked
boards are able to migrate to the drivers/leds.

Manuel Lauss 9f8a5e3a44 sh: SH-DMAC compile fixes
This patch does the following:
- remove the make_ipr_irq stuff from dma-sh.c and replace it
  with a simple channel<->irq mapping table.
- add DMTEx_IRQ constants for sh4 cpus
- fix sh7751 DMAE irq number

The SH7780 uses the same IRQs for DMA as other SH4 types, so
I put the constants on top of the dma.h file.

Other CPU types need to #define their own DMTEx_IRQ contants
in their appropriate header.

Paul Mundt 26b7a78c55 sh: Lazy dcache writeback optimizations.
This converts the lazy dcache handling to the model described in
Documentation/cachetlb.txt and drops the ptep_get_and_clear() hacks
used for the aliasing dcaches on SH-4 and SH7705 in 32kB mode. As a
bonus, this slightly cuts down on the cache flushing frequency.

With that and the PTEA handling out of the way, the update_mmu_cache()
implementations can be consolidated, and we no longer have to worry
about which configuration the cache is in for the SH7705 case.

And finally, explicitly disable the lazy writeback on SMP (SH-4A).

Jamie Lenehan 703404ea44 sh: allow earlyprintk baud rate to be set via command line
This allows the baud rate for earlyprintk for sh4 without the
standard BIOS to be set via the command line. This uses the same
format as i386 and x86_64, which is:

	earlyprintk=serial,ttySC1,38400

The second parameter (ttySC1 above) is usually the console device
name or the io address of the serial port. I allow that to be
specified but ignore it in order to keep the format the same as
i386/x86_64.

Paul Mundt f413d0d9fa sh: Use a jump call table for debug trap handlers.
This rips out most of the needlessly complicated sh_bios and kgdb
trap handling, and forces it all through a common fast dispatch path.
As more debug traps are inserted, it's important to keep them in sync
for all of the parts, not just SH-3/4.

As the SH-2 parts are unable to do traps in the >= 0x40 range, we
restrict the debug traps to the 0x30-0x3f range on all parts, and
also bump the kgdb breakpoint trap down in to this range (from 0xff
to 0x3c) so it's possible to use for nommu.

Optionally, this table can be padded out to catch spurious traps for
SH-3/4, but we don't do that yet..

Paul Mundt dc34d312c7 sh: BUG() handling through trapa vector.
Previously we haven't been doing anything with verbose BUG() reporting,
and we've been relying on the oops path for handling BUG()'s, which is
rather sub-optimal.

This switches BUG handling to use a fixed trapa vector (#0x3e) where we
construct a small bug frame post trapa instruction to get the context
right. This also makes it trivial to wire up a DIE_BUG for the atomic
die chain, which we couldn't really do before.

David Howells f0d1b0b30d [PATCH] LOG2: Implement a general integer log2 facility in the kernel
This facility provides three entry points:

	ilog2()		Log base 2 of unsigned long
	ilog2_u32()	Log base 2 of u32
	ilog2_u64()	Log base 2 of u64

These facilities can either be used inside functions on dynamic data:

	int do_something(long q)
	{
		...;
		y = ilog2(x)
		...;
	}

Or can be used to statically initialise global variables with constant values:

	unsigned n = ilog2(27);

When performing static initialisation, the compiler will report "error:
initializer element is not constant" if asked to take a log of zero or of
something not reducible to a constant.  They treat negative numbers as
unsigned.

When not dealing with a constant, they fall back to using fls() which permits
them to use arch-specific log calculation instructions - such as BSR on
x86/x86_64 or SCAN on FRV - if available.

Chen, Kenneth W 39dde65c99 [PATCH] shared page table for hugetlb page
Following up with the work on shared page table done by Dave McCracken.  This
set of patch target shared page table for hugetlb memory only.

The shared page table is particular useful in the situation of large number of
independent processes sharing large shared memory segments.  In the normal
page case, the amount of memory saved from process' page table is quite
significant.  For hugetlb, the saving on page table memory is not the primary
objective (as hugetlb itself already cuts down page table overhead
significantly), instead, the purpose of using shared page table on hugetlb is
to allow faster TLB refill and smaller cache pollution upon TLB miss.

With PT sharing, pte entries are shared among hundreds of processes, the cache
consumption used by all the page table is smaller and in return, application
gets much higher cache hit ratio.  One other effect is that cache hit ratio
with hardware page walker hitting on pte in cache will be higher and this
helps to reduce tlb miss latency.  These two effects contribute to higher
application performance.

Jamie Lenehan ea0f8feaa0 sh: sh775x/titan fixes for irq header changes.
The following moves the creation of IPR interupts into setup-7750.c
and updates a few other things to make it all work after the "Drop
CPU subtype IRQ headers" commit. It boots and runs fine on my titan
board.

 - adds an ipr_idx to the ipr_data and uses a function in the subtype
   code to calculate the address of the IPR registers

 - adds a function to enable individual interrupt mode for externals
   in the subtype code and calls that from the titan board code
   instead of doing it directly.

 - I changed the shift in the ipr_data to be the actual # of bits to
   shift, instead of the numnber / 4 - made it easier to match with
   the manual.

Previously this was using a static pgd shift in the reporting
code, simply flip this to PGDIR_SHIFT which does the right
thing depending on varying PTE magnitudes on the SH-X2 MMU.

Paul Mundt 510c72ad2d sh: Fixup various PAGE_SIZE == 4096 assumptions.
There were a number of places that made evil PAGE_SIZE == 4k
assumptions that ended up breaking when trying to play with
8k and 64k page sizes, this fixes those up.

The most significant change is the way we load THREAD_SIZE,
previously this was done via:

	mov	#(THREAD_SIZE >> 8), reg
	shll8	reg

to avoid a memory access and allow the immediate load. With
a 64k PAGE_SIZE, we're out of range for the immediate load
size without resorting to special instructions available in
later ISAs (movi20s and so on). The "workaround" for this is
to bump up the shift to 10 and insert a shll2, which gives a
bit more flexibility while still being much cheaper than a
memory access.

Stuart Menefy e0969e0c9b sh: Fix syscall tracing ordering.
The implementation of system call tracing in the kernel has a
couple of ordering problems:

 - the validity of the system call number is checked before
   calling out to system call tracing code, and should be
   done after

 - the system call number used when tracing is the one the
   system call was invoked with, while the system call tracing
   code can legitimatly change the call number (for example
   strace permutes fork into clone)

This patch fixes both of these problems, and also reoders the
code slightly to make the direct path through the code the
common case.

Stuart Menefy f0bc814cfb sh: gcc4 support.
This fixes up the kernel for gcc4. The existing exception handlers
needed some wrapping for pt_regs access, acessing the registers
via a RELOC_HIDE() pointer.

Paul Mundt 21440cf04a sh: Preliminary support for SH-X2 MMU.
This adds some preliminary support for the SH-X2 MMU, used by
newer SH-4A parts (particularly SH7785).

This MMU implements a 'compat' mode with SH-X MMUs and an
'extended' mode for SH-X2 extended features. Extended features
include additional page sizes (8kB, 4MB, 64MB), as well as the
addition of page execute permissions.

The extended mode attributes are placed in a second data array,
which requires us to switch to 64-bit PTEs when in X2 mode.

With the addition of the exec perms, we also overhaul the mmap
prots somewhat, now that it's possible to handle them more
intelligently.

This drops the various IRQ headers that were floating around
and primarily providing hardcoded IRQ definitions for the
various CPU subtypes. This quickly got to be an unmaintainable
mess, made even more evident by the subtle breakage introduced
by the SH-2 and SH-2A changes.

Now that subtypes are able to register IRQ maps directly, just
rip all of the headers out.

SH-2A has special division hardware as opposed to a full-fledged FPU,

Jamie Lenehan bd71ab88de sh: Fix IPR-IRQ's for IRQ-chip change breakage.
The conversion from IPR-IRQ to IRQ-chip resulted in the
ipr data being allocated in a local variable in
make_ipr_irq - breaking anything using IPR interrupts.

This changes all of the callers of make_ipr_irq to
allocate a static structure containing the IPR data which
is then passed to make_ipr_irq. This removes the need for
make_ipr_irq to allocate any additional space for the IPR
information.

Add a vmlinux.lds.h helper macro for defining the eight-level initcall table,
teach all the architectures to use it.

This is a prerequisite for a patch which performs initcall synchronisation for

Paul Mundt 66a740572d sh: Convert INTC2 to IRQ table registration.
Currently the INTC2 code contains a fixed IRQ table that it
iterates through to set the handler type, we move this in to
the CPU subtype setup code instead and allow for submitting
the table that way.

This drops the ST40 tables, as nothing has been happening
with those processors, while converting the only existing
users to use the new table directly (SH7760 and SH7780).

Paul Mundt 1f666587db sh: Fix exception_handling_table alignment.
With the recent change ripping out interrupt_table, explicit
padding of the table was missing, causing bad things to happen
when manually inserting handlers in to the table. This problem
particularly showed up in relation to do_fpu_state_restore()
which was inserted quite deeply in to the table and ended up
scribbling over a slab object.

Paul Mundt 6b0022305f sh: Proper show_stack/show_trace() implementation.
This splits out some of the previous show_stack() implementation which
was mostly doing the show_trace() work without actually dumping any of
the stack contents. This now gets split in to two sections, where we
do the fetching of the stack pointer and subsequent stack dumping in
show_stack(), while moving the call trace in to show_trace().
