This slims down SharedStyleContext, in preparation for a few things.
First, I would like to eventually move the stylist to the document in Servo, in
order for it to hold the StyleSheetSet.
Also, this gets rid of a fair amount of overhead while creating it in stylo.
Fixes bug 1363245.

This is an interdependent patch of Bug 1346052. We need this FFI to compute the AnimationValue from a property id and a string, so nsDOMWindowUtils::ComputeAnimationDistance() can use this FFI to get the AnimationValue.

This removes some unsafe/unstable code and replaces it with a new safe/stable alternative.
Note that `process::abort` is not identical to `intrinsics::abort`, since it runs global cleanups to do things like flush stderr (though neither function performs stack unwinding). I don't *think* the difference matters for our use cases.

Text style is always resolved via ServoStyleSet::ResolveStyleForText, either
from the frame constructor initially, or from
ServoRestyleManager::ProcessPostTraversalForText.
So text-only adjustments should go there instead. Since that doesn't call into
cascade(), all the code that passes `pseudo` there is dead code we can remove.

These are interdependent patches of Bug 1357357. We add one more arm, TransitionProperty::Unsupported, which stores the string of non-animatable, custom, or unrecognized property, so we can parse these kinds of properties and serialize them correctly. This is necessary because we need to start transitions even though some transition-properties are non-animatable, custom, or unrecognized.

`WindowMethods::set_page_url` is only called when the embedder set the URL. It is not called when the page url is updated. I believe that instead we should just pass the URL to `head_parsed`.

This PR includes Android life cycle Improvements and Gradle integration for android packaging.
Android life cycle improvements are implemented in both the new [MainActivity](https://github.com/servo/servo/compare/master...MortimerGoro:android_improvements?expand=1#diff-f43708b102e98272c2af7454b8846927) and native code in this related PR: https://github.com/servo/glutin/pull/117
- Properly handle the life cycle of the Android Activity: manage EGLContext lost & restore, and animation loop pause/resume when the app goes to background/foreground or orientation changes. In the current upstream Servo crashes when the app goes to background, activity stops or changes orientation
- Handle event loop awake for Servo Animation loop
- Handle screen resize & orientation events
- Implement new keep_screen_on preference which keeps Android device's screen from ever going to sleep: very useful for games or WebVR
- Implement a full screen mode enabled by preference: very useful for games or WebVR
- Implement new shell.native-orientation preference which allows to lock the Activity to a specific orientation
- Automatically sync new android assets to sdcard when the Android version code is changed. In the current upstream only the existence of the folder is check but resources are not updated
ofscreen_gl_context is updated to fix this: https://github.com/emilio/rust-offscreen-rendering-context/pull/83
This PR integrates Gradle build system for android packaging. Most of the code is implemented in this [build.gradle](https://github.com/servo/servo/compare/master...MortimerGoro:android_improvements?expand=1#diff-89cdb9324addb994cdba0a158b209547) . We can get rid of [build-apk](https://github.com/servo/servo/compare/master...MortimerGoro:android_improvements?expand=1#diff-40f5a7cf22f94aad059b2c1795347f5e) and manual jar dependency copying in the [package_commands.py](https://github.com/servo/servo/compare/master...MortimerGoro:android_improvements?expand=1#diff-0d425b142c8d10ae6ac1f3711fb5c23a). The correct version of gradle is automatically downloaded using the gradlew wrapper.
Some improvements:
- Allows to include more complex android dependencies/SDKs like AARs, manifest auto-merging and more.
- Improved packaging process: The gradle project is always in the same folder, it uses relative paths for everything (assets, native libraries) and outputs the apk into the correct target folder in servo. In the current upstream, ant/python build system copies the manifest, project, resources and jars each time so you end with multiple copies of the same files.
- Improved dependency declaration. We do not have to manually copy jar dependencies in the python script anymore. The gradle build scripts itself is able to search for the dependencies in the correct servo target folder.
- Supports packaging apks with different architectures: armeabi, armeabi-v7a, aarch64. We still need to fix some native servo compilation issues with armeabi-v7a, aarch64 due to dependencies which use `make`. I'll push this changes in a separate PR of the python build files but the gradle file is already ready to handle that.
- We can easily create product flavors for different versions of Servo. For example a default browser, a WebVR browser with additional dependencies or a Servo android Webview component
- Fixes minor.major.52 build error when blurdroid cargo dependency is compiled using java8 (the default in new Linux machines). The gradle build file enables the new Jack compiler which supports Java8 dependencies.
- The project can be opened with Android Studio and run the brand new GPU debugger on any Android phone. I'll add some docs in the Wiki about this.

add the moz_debug feature
debug_assertions is not a reliable guide to whether Gecko C++ code is
being compiled with debugging assertions, since we can now compile Gecko
with --enable-optimize --disable-debug --enable-rust-debug: Gecko will
be compiled without debugging assertions (and debugging struct layouts)
and Rust code will be compiled with debug_assertions. The struct
mismatches in the binding layer lead to startup crashes.
This feature is not presently used, but will be set by some Gecko-side
changes and then used by some Servo-side changes. These changes need to
be made first so that CI on both sides works correctly at all
intermediate stages along the way.

This version enables [struct field reordering][1] which brings the size of the types for specified values of some CSS properties under the threshold such that they shouldn’t be boxed anymore, making unit tests fail.
Simply unboxing them moves the test failure to Stylo’s unit tests, since the stable compiler used in that case does not do field re-ordering. Therefore, we manually reorder a couple fields to effectively bring this optimization to older compilers for a few specific types.

This fixes#12937 where keypresses arrive in a one-off fashion, effectively delaying each keystroke. This PR is based heavily on @codec-abc's https://github.com/servo/servo/pull/16193 PR, with some further fixes and cleanup. From the original PR comments:
> There are 2 types of events associated with keyboard: Key event (up or down) and Character Input.
>
> * A character is not necessary created one a key is pressed (like the home key).
> * A character may be created only using a combination of several key. For example, using a Qwerty International layout you have to type ` then e to get é. The first key press on ` will create no character.
> * In servo, we currently merge the 2 events together, meaning that we store a Character Input event in a field to fire a single event later on when we get a Key event.
>
> The order of events seems to be system dependent. For example, let's say that we type the A key on a Qwerty Layout. In Linux and MacOs we will get this:
>
> * Character Input for character A
> * Key down event with virtual key code of the key A
> * Key up event with virtual key code of the key A
>
> while in Windows we get:
>
> * Key down event with virtual key code of the key A
> * Character Input for character A
> * Key up event with virtual key code of the key A
>
> It seems that glutin make no attempt to reorder the event to make the order independent of the Operating System. I think it would be easier for Servo if it were handled by the library.
This fix is a stopgap for the current state of glutin. We may want to look into a deeper fix in the future. For now, this is hopefully adequate solution until a more permanent one can be found.
This is the last remaining issue for the Windows nightly blockers meta-issue https://github.com/servo/servo/issues/12125

involves an atomic operation on lookup, which is a bit hot to do each

scrollbars.css is the only sheet which is parsed as author level, but later
added as agent level in [1]. Add a new enum value so that it can be parsed
as author level in gecko (nsCSSParser::AgentRulesEnabled() will exclude it),
but servo can recognize it as agent level sheet when the sheet is created.
Delete UserRulesEnabled() because no one uses it.

AnimationValue::mGecko and AnimationValue::mServo are mutually
exclusive, so we have to make sure mGecko.IsNull() returns reasonable
value, or we will got assertions. Hence, we should initialize it during
constructing StyleAnimationValue from Servo side.

<!-- Please describe your changes on the following line: -->
Before this PR, every object reflected in CSSOM is in `Arc<RwLock<_>>` to enable safe (synchronized) mutable aliasing. Acquiring all these locks has significant cost during selector matching:
* https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1311469
* https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1335941
* https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1339703
This PR introduce a mechanism to protect many objects with the same `RwLock` that only needs to be acquired once.
In Stylo, there is one such lock per process (in a `lazy_static`), used for everything.
I non-Stylo Servo, I originally intended to have one such lock per document (for author-origin stylesheets, and one per process for user-agent and user sytlesheets since they’re shared across documents, and never mutated anyway). However I failed to have the same document-specific (or pipeline-specific) `Arc` reachable from both `Document` nodes and `LayoutThread`. Recursively following callers lead me to include this `Arc` in `UnprivilegedPipelineContent`, but that needs to be serializable. So there is a second process-wide lock.
This was previously #15998, closed accidentally.

I think these properties are generally rare enough that they're not worth adding 8 bytes of memmove overhead on every PropertyDeclaration. There are a _lot_ of 24-byte properties though, so I think that's probably a good sustainable level.

Right now they don't, which means that we have four properties making PropertyDeclaration 16 bytes bigger than it should be.
I'm not sure if there's a better way to get these tests to run against stylo than to hoist them into the properties file, but I couldn't figure it out. This seems good enough.

By having a single thread pool, rather than one per document, we use less memory. This addresses https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1324250.
This may be obvious to an experienced Rust programmer, but I went with raw pointers because trying to use `Option` global variables resulted in complaints about turning on feature flags in nightly Rust. Since this is for stylo, nightly features are not appropriate here.

As I dive in the Android code, a bit of cleanup:
- jni/main.c was totally useless, and its presence misleading. I left the jni/ directory to please `ndk-build`.
- the logging redirection in servo/main.rs was redondant with the implementation in the injected android glue.
Most other changes are just due to my editor doing a `rustfmt` when saving files.
I also turned on RUST_LOG to `debug` by default, that helps quite a bit to see what's happening.

Regenerate bindings for latest mozilla-central -> stylo merge. I had to tweak somethings in build_gecko.rs to get it to compile with the new bindgen, which then resulted in me having to tweak a bit in glue.rs. Not sure if there's a better way than what I've done here. (Note that the name `RawServoAnimationValueBorrowedList` is a little misleading, since it's naming a Gecko type (nsTArray) with Servo types (ServoAnimationValue pointers) inside it.)

* Refactor all scroll related code to use a new `ScrollLocation` struct which can either be a `delta` (as before) or a `Start` or `End` request, to represent the desire to scroll to the start and end of the page.
Effectively, everywhere a delta was used, there is now a `ScrollLocation` struct instead.
* Add key press listeners for HOME and END keys so as to cause a scroll to be queued with `ScrollLocation::Start` (in HOME case) or `ScrollLocation::End` (in END case).
* These changes depend on added support for the new `ScrollLocation` in webrender and webrender_traits. See https://github.com/servo/webrender/pull/540.

We previously had this and removed it because it caused runtime slowdowns
(discussion in #11102), but that was in release mode.
Debug mode is already very slow at runtime.
In my opinion, debug mode is mostly for the edit-compile-test cycle
which is currently dominated by compile times, so sacrificing runtime for compile time makes sense.
I’ve observed a ~30% improvement of compile times with this. This figure is consistent between a very fast desktop with 4 cores / 8 threads and a not-as-fast laptop with 2 cores / 4 threads.

When we resolve style for an eagerly computed pseudo-element, such as an anonymous box, if there are no matching rules we currently just clone the parent's style. We should only do that if `inherit_all` is true, otherwise we should inherit only the inherited properties from the parent.
I was going to use `.unwrap_or_default()` on the result of looking up `precomputed_pseudo_element_decls`, but that didn't seem to work since that map lookup returns a reference and not a `Vec` itself.

Due to changes in `android-rs-glue`, currently the Android build fails to start. As discussed [here](https://github.com/servo/servo/issues/13154), other than the `android-glue`, we now also have to inject some additional code too. This task is usually done by a helper program of `android-glue`, `cargo-apk`, but since Servo's build system is somewhat more complex than a regular small application, at the moment it'd be more clean to move the required internal `injected-glue` lib to a new repository, and add it as a dependency.
This patch adds a new dependency, `android-rs-injected-glue`, and integrates it into Servo. After applying this commit and #14528, Servo can be launched on Android. (It doesn't *work* yet as expected, though.)
Part of #13154.

This is a WIP patch to make rust-bindgen a build time dependency of style component for stylo. This should make things more automatic. I convert majority of `regen.py` to `build_gecko.rs`.
It currently doesn't work on Windows, because of servo/rust-bindgen#271 (it works when I fix the generated file manually, though). I haven't tested other platforms.
It would break servo's CI for geckolib, because:
1. it needs libclang (which is probably easy to solve)
2. it needs `MOZ_OBJDIR` to be passed in so that it can generate bindings
@Manishearth @emilio Do you agree with this change? Do you have suggestion for the issues above?

The primary idea of this patch is to ditch the rigid enum of Previous/Current
styles, and replace it with a series of indicators for the various types of
work that needs to be performed (expanding snapshots, rematching, recascading,
and damage processing). This loses us a little bit of sanity checking (since
the up-to-date-ness of our style is no longer baked into the type system), but
gives us a lot more flexibility that we'll need going forward (especially when
we separate matching from cascading). We also eliminate get_styling_mode in
favor of a method on the traversal.
This patch does a few other things as ridealongs:
* Temporarily eliminates the handling for transfering ownership of styles to the
frame. We'll need this again at some point, but for now it's causing too much
complexity for a half-implemented feature.
* Ditches TRestyleDamage, which is no longer necessary post-crate-merge, and is
a constant source of compilation failures from either needing to be imported
or being unnecessarily imported (which varies between gecko and servo).
* Expands Snapshots for the traversal root, which was missing before.
* Fixes up the skip_root stuff to avoid visiting the skipped root.
* Unifies parallel traversal and avoids spawning for a single work item.
* Adds an explicit pre_traverse step do any pre-processing and determine whether
we need to traverse at all.

This PR is intended to add basic support for all CSSOM interfaces, with the ability to index `document.styleSheets` and css rule lists, and serializing individual css rules. Handling individual interface methods for CSSRule subclasses can probably be done with easy/medium bugs.
Mutation safety isn't dealt with here; if the css rule list is mutated the CSSOM will be in an inconsistent state. I intend to deal with this via zero sized tokens, see https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/mozilla.dev.servo/AnxJoVmtMXQ . I'll handle that when I start making the CSSOM mutable. (Getting the immutable bit landed first opens this up for easy bugs)
This doesn't really change style aside from adding an extra arc in the CSS rule list as discussed in the linked thread. So far this same design can be used by stylo as well when the time comes.

The WebRender display list is now similar to the Servo display list,
which simplifies the conversion.

<!-- Please describe your changes on the following line: -->
The current work queue had a really annoying constraint: The size of the node had to be the size of the work unit data.
This makes it impractical for the new restyling model where we plan to pass down a bunch of data.
Rayon by default makes you wait for the result of the work unit, which makes it impractical for the current model (it's mostly sequential).
I added an API to rayon that allows us to push work to the queue without waiting (https://github.com/nikomatsakis/rayon/pull/103).
This still needs some work (for example, we're loosing the memory reporting functionality), but I wanted feedback on this.

This commit itself only moves things around and adds an extra parameter to the
`apply_declarations` function to eventually handle #14079 correctly.
Probably needs a more granular API to query fonts, á la nsFontMetrics, but
that's trivial to do once this is landed.
Then we should make the font provider mandatory, and implement the missing stylo
bits.

<!-- Please describe your changes on the following line: -->
This PR adds support for DirectWrite text rendering using a thin wrapper for dwrite, as well as similar functionality added to WebRender. In doing so it removes the FreeType dep from the Windows build.
There is still work to be done here, but this is a good starting point for future cleanup and fixes.
