This brings across the WASAPI loopback stream functionality recently
implemented in cubeb.

The README_MOZILLA is reverted to its previous format. Previously a couple of
patches were highlighted as needing application, however these have now been
applied upstream.

Paul Adenot 8db2de79d7 Bug 1351803 - Statically link to avrt.lib on Windows, when compiling cubeb. r=glandium 
We used to get the symbols we need using `LoadLibrary`, but now (since
661c653c86),
we can statically link to avrt.lib, because we only support Windows OSes that
have this library. For now, this works because avrt.lib is linked in
webrtc-land somewhere with a #pragma, but:
- We're going to stop using this bit of webrtc in the near future (around
  Firefox 54)
- Not linking this explicitely where it's used breaks --disable-webrtc, that is
  a popular option

https://github.com/kinetiknz/cubeb/commit/6b2c610 changed the output unit
from kAudioUnitSubType_DefaultOutput to kAudioUnitSubType_HALOutput because
capture is never available on the DefaultOutputUnit.  For the case where
we're doing output only to the default device, this regressed the automatic
device switching when the output device was changed in the Sound system
preferences.  Reverting to the DefaultOutputUnit for this case restores the
previous behaviour.  This addresses BMO #1278612.

It's probably better to not TerminateThread here, because we don't really know
what happened down the stack of the rendering loop, so we just leak it. This

up by the OS anyways.

In bug 922912, we folded back gkmedias.dll info xul.dll, so in practice, there
is no default configuration left that exercises GKMEDIAS_SHARED_LIBRARY. And

The gkmedias intermediate library is however kept for webrtc signaling tests.

Even though we compile C code as C99, we used to need
-Wdeclaration-after-statement because MSVC didn't allow declarations after
statements.

However, Visual Studio 2013 added support, so we can now merrily mix
declarations and statements everywhere. Hooray.

Nicholas Nethercote f44287005f Bug 1198334 (part 1) - Replace the opt-in FAIL_ON_WARNINGS with the opt-out ALLOW_COMPILER_WARNINGS. r=glandium. 
The patch removes 455 occurrences of FAIL_ON_WARNINGS from moz.build files, and
adds 78 instances of ALLOW_COMPILER_WARNINGS. About half of those 78 are in
code we control and which should be removable with a little effort.

This patch does the following:
- Introduces an owned_critical_section object to be able to assert that a
  current thread owns a critical section
- Change the auto_lock to use the above, add auto_unlock (basically like the
  Gecko AutoEnter/AutoExit things)
- Fix an issue during audio output device switch where the clock would use the
  old sample rate. Apparently I did not notice this because my headset and the
  sound card on this laptop have the same rate
- Check that we could acquire a device_enumerator in the ctor before
  deallocating in the dtor, as that can happen if a ton of streams are running at
  once (I had this issue running the full mochitest suite)
- Stop getting another device_enumator in unregister_notification_client, fixing a leak
- Assert that setup_wasapi_stream and close_wasapi_stream are called with the lock held, this was the cause of the crash for this bug
- Make close_wasapi_stream clear out its state to make sure setup_wasapi_stream
  and close_wasapi_stream are called in the right order (especially, not two
  setup_wasapi_stream without close in between, since that would leak stuff)
- In wasapi_stream_destroy, unregister the notification client before destroying
  the CRITICAL_SECTION (this was the cause of a crash I duped against this bug)

Matthew Gregan 652f34cb02 Bug 1092859 - Always use soft volume in WinMM cubeb backend. r=padenot 
waveOutSetVolume adjusts the system (or app, on Vista up, but we only use
WinMM on XP) "PCM Volume" rather than a per-waveOut volume, which means any
audio stream we adjust the volume on has an undesirable higher-level effect.
Fix this by dropping the support for waveOutSetVolume and always using the
soft volume support.

While here, fix a bug in the soft volume code where float32 samples are
handled.

Mike Hommey 47c853314f Bug 1077148 part 4 - Add and use new moz.build templates for Gecko programs and libraries. r=gps 
There are, sadly, many combinations of linkage in use throughout the tree.
The main differentiator, though, is between program/libraries related to
Gecko or not. Kind of. Some need mozglue, some don't. Some need dependent
linkage, some standalone.

Anyways, these new templates remove the need to manually define the
right dependencies against xpcomglue, nspr, mozalloc and mozglue
in most cases.

Places that build programs and were resetting MOZ_GLUE_PROGRAM_LDFLAGS
or that build libraries and were resetting MOZ_GLUE_LDFLAGS can now
just not use those Gecko-specific templates.
